Its a 1963 beetle (bug) I got drawing from the blueprints.com yall may all ready heard of that. Scaling the drawings just right took me a while but I'm learning. Before downloading to your desktop, and playing the qicktime, remember these commands. For PC users "Cntrl F" for full screen and "Cntrl 0" Zero not the letter O for Half size if the picture is too large for your display. For mac users substatute CNTRL with the Command key. I hesitate to show this clip because its no where near finished and I am not happy with it at all. Not to mention this is one shot out of about 16 and its out of context so it will not be to impressive to you. The shot lacks the render quality/ look that I desire. My inexperience caused me to shoe horn in some AO into an indoor scene and it kind of works but so far I feel a Radiosity look…

For some reason, when I rendered the scene in ".Avi" A:M was crashing a lot! And so I felt I had to ask you what's wrong in that. I also posted a screenshot of a frame I captured inside the software (using Render Mode "Q").

Here is a very simple female hair model I use for test-rendering female characters. I thought maybe someone else could also use it as a quick and dirty model. It includes the cookie cut decals (2) and both the basic model (the 4 x 4 grid expanded) and a version of the shaped basic model to fit the Hash supplied Gala character. Just be sure to put the cookie cut decals in the same sub directory as you have for the models. It looks a lot better when you apply bump maps and specular maps, but I am usually not concerned with that level of completion when I use it. HashSend.zip

This is a fairly simple sequence approaching Titan (moon of Saturn). I'm trying to put together some video to go with songs on the prog rock band Gekko Projekt's upcoming CD. Many of the songs involve a science fiction story about being marooned on Titan. Any comments are welcome and appreciated! Titan Test #1 -Vance

"Sandcastles," my third short film and second major collaboration has officially moved into production. The main character was modeled in A:M. Determined to build the sandcastle of his dreams, a small child struggles against all odds to fulfill his destiny, even if it kills him. In case you didn't see it in the festivals, my last film, "Garrett" is now available to watch on Youtube. Production has begun on "Sandcastles," so watch for updates soon.

I thought I'd post some new images. I didn't spend as much time on these as the kokubu stills, but I wanted to take a short break from the BGC: http://www.noah3d.com/Main_figures2.html All criticism is welcome, though I will be busy working on the BGC for the next few months.

Attached is a rendering of an assault rifle I put together. It loosely resembles a FN FAL assault rifle, but any resemblance to any actual rifle is purely a coincidence. I was more interested in a realistic texture than any mechanical accuracy.

The description pretty much says what I used. It's far from finished, as the blue truck needs to be heavily damaged and I need to interview the driver (blue truck) to sind out which way his vehicle spun. Image as a roto for camera. Yves' light rig, Explode and Newton plugin from yoda64. Had smoke in it but it didn't work out (NR problems). Hello - attached is a short dance animation test I've done in A:M for a music video to my song "Ol' Scratch". I know, I know . . . there are various aspects of the rigging and animation process which are, to be generous, flawed . . . but the spirit is there! In short, I really love this software and the creative and helpful people here on these forums. I am in awe of how intelligent, insightful, and quick to help all of you are - thank you! To rig my biped models I feel compelled to thank David Rogers for this brief tut: http://am-guide.com/SetUp/ My models still give me trouble in the "knee, elbow, and hip" joints, some of which could be allevi…

I've posted two pay per download episodes over the past year and they have been well received. I suppose that's why I'm working on a part three. They can be found at https://www.e-junkie.com/marketplace/325746 They are reliable and take a small percentage of sales compared to other sites I've used.

Experimenting with a woodcut look. This test is modeled in Zbrush, then smoothed with their clay/sharp edges algorithm, and remeshed to app. 30k polys and exported. Then imported into A:M (took some time!!) When inside A:M I peaked all splines, thus essentially bypassing A:Ms spline system (I bow my head in shame). When additionally setting the subdivs to the lowest setting, it is possible to get a managable model in A:M. But of course, this is for hard body animation only (which doesn’t bother me). Deforming this model would propably yield some undesirable results. An example of a real world wood carved puppet

Ok, so. I'm assuming that somebody knows of the upcoming "space" animation contest. And I was wondering if anyone could help me out. I'm trying to have the camera zoom out in one part of the animation. Its supposed to start zooming out slowly, and then speed up. but, instead, before it starts to go faster, its zooms in. And I can't figure out why. its mind-boggling . So, if anyone could help, that would be really cool. Thanks, robert

I've been wanting to enter the landscape and/or hairy image contests, but haven't had the time for the last couple of years. So, I finally decided to work on something for myself for a change, maybe I'll have it done for the next landscape contest, if there is one. So, here's the start of something I've been working on. It not much at the moment, but I figured I would post my progress as I go. IMAGE REMOVED

I'm moving this topic to WIP since I don't have access to the Animation Master forum. To reiterate; I've very lax in loading the latest versions and have been using 19.0e since it came out. I just installed 19.0j and upon starting AM got the error message:"Unable to load plugin" (followed by a sequential list of all the .atx and .trb files I bought from Enhance:AM) "The specified procedure could not be found". I made sure this version was looking in the correct folder.I loaded v19.0i and got the same result. I don't have ver.g or ver.h but ver.f had no problem loading them. However ver.f has a decal application crash and this is the only version that's availabl…

I've been inactive of late in the A:M world... new job has me going in other directions. But Friday was a 'hurry-up and wait' day- so I perused my A:M files and saw a model that I last worked on TEN YEARS ago(2003 with a SetupMachine V1 rig!)... so I revisited it... added some SSS, some matcaps, some FastAOgpu, a TrueBones motion capture action(offset on the different dancers) and let Youtube provide the music track... The poneytails are controlled by a pose that has muscle-motion sway in a 100 to -100%... then a bone parented to the head bone with a dynamic constraint... then a smartskin relationship on that bone that controls the pose by the rotation of the bone. …

Hello everyone. For the moment Im working on this robot. It's supposed to be an very absent-minded and dumb robot (not evil but just non intelligent). This is also my first serious atempt on doing an rig on a character. I'll in a second upload a few animation tests I have rendered. Comments are welcome First is an 360' of the robot (with an little animation) Johnny6rotatesmall.mov

This is the movie I needed render help on a couple weeks ago. Unfortunately it's still large, 13megs, but it's two minutes and has sound. I could probably get it smaller, maybe with better audio compression. There are a number of rough edges but considering the circumstances I'm pretty happy with it. I may tweak it a little and re-render it for the reel but for now this is it. However crits are welcome. ISD Games promo movie

Hello all This will be my first post and first WIP. The characters name is Snowball and she is my mascot for my website. I plan on doing some small animations of her along with a small film if everything goes as planned. The model is almost complete, all that lacks now are the clothes and the hair. I didn't want to offend anyone so I censored her anatomy for public view. In all other animations/renders when complete everything is covered so I won't need to censor anything Please critique or comment whatever you feel. If there are any suggestions as for clothes by all means let me hear them, the original character was more cartoony and didn't have as much detail…

this is my second WIP post, I trashed my old work as without a rotoscope, it's pretty darn hopeless for a newbie like myself to create a human. This time I decided to recreate my favourite Dragonball Z charracter: Vegeta. So the hunt for a rotoscope began! and the journey was long, but Google saved me arse once again (this is turning into a story, but what the heck!). I compared a few side(side views of drawn charracters are really rare, btw) and front pics and I used the ones...I used. and here it is, the start of Vegeta(I know the point is to post atleast almost completet models, but I really need some tips) so here goes:

Hi guys and gals. I haven't gotten to use AM for anything creative in a bit and was really starting to feel the lack of creativity in my life.. So this Sunday afternoon after church I sat down and started working on a character just for fun. And I was reminded once again why I don't use anything other than animation master... and how wonderfullly easy it is to just make stuff!

The new v13 displacement is so fun to play with, but for some tricky situations (see attachment) you have to go further than the usual 8 bit gray scale image displacement maps. Remember that this is just one single patch! ..and it's fast to render too; less than 60 seconds with 9 passes. [attachmentid=13363]

Hey, all. Been working on a face for a while. For some reason, all of a sudden, in shaded mode (with or without wireframe), the model looks as though it's gone into peak mode, bias handles don't work, and I can't figure out what I did to it. Wireframe mode, however, is smooth. Any ideas would be welcome. Thanks. Rich

Here's a proof of concept test of a cityscape cobbled together quickly with copies of a single nondescript cube. The basic idea being to later replace that cube with a fully poseable master building capable of showing a variety of different details and facades. Similar variables might control details outside the building such as lampposts/lights etc. There are a few assumptions here: - Detail would (optimally) only be created where the camera needs to go (This might be directed through hot/active and cold/inactive zones) - Streets and sidewalks would be created after the primary city is generated and approved for detailing (conversely the building could be …

Hey all! So here I am, with 'Stolen Child' well underway and demanding attention, way too much comic and web work that I need to find time to poke at, and what do I do? That's right, I create a new WIP for my 'mood shot' entry in hopes that I might actually finish it one day. I must be suicidal or something... Anyway, 'Longing for Home' has a long way to go. While the all the rough blocking animation is there, and there is enough in place to tell the story, it'll be nice to polish this up into something I'd actually be proud of. Something nice to put up on the website, anyway. I'm also going to be using this as a style test bed for another project that I want t…
