Well, I got tasked to take pictures of graphics used in todays society. So I did that, then the instructor decided that we should make a flier, or poster or something with our pictures, so this is what came out, I am happy with it. And special thanks to the room set up from Xtaz. Thanks for the A (hopefully) [attachmentid=15324]

I'd like to have a volumetric effect light shine on my business text, but have the shadow from the text appear as black shofts behind the text. The current setup looks like this. The shadows are repeatd in the vouletric effect too many times. Thanks, David

Hi, I'm working on a chor where light passes through a crate but I can't figure out why two lights that have the same properties, and I mean the same in everything, give such different results! Can anybody solve my clue? Thanx, Rago.

I've noticed that when two volumetric klieg cones overlap, it produces a harsh dark gray field. Is there any way to overcome this? I was looking for something that would turn off the additive property, but there isn't one for volumetrics.

Hello all- Tried rendering some volumetric lighting and came across a weird anomaly in the rendering. An thin arc of black dots seems to be appearing in the rendered frames. Check out the image. Does anyone have an idea what might be causing this? Thanks! Tom

I've been messing with the 'steam' volumetric effect in a choreography and last night saved the attached project with all the settings working as I intended. When I opened the project after restarting this morning, the settings on both the steam effects and the camera were wacky. What happened? I'm using A:M v.13t in Mac OS 10.4.8. CLOUDS_Brighter.prj

Hey Gang! Still experimenting with V11's neato hair. Did a quick test and thought I'd share. Constrained a vortex force to the hair dryer. Learned that the Vortex Force 'goes-thru' objects...other than that its purdy danged cool! Have a look! (WARNING: Model used in test is wearing bikini...) blowdryer.mov

Hi guys Here is a work related model of a VW Beetle 1200 that I have made. The "final" render was just a quick setup which I might improved when I find some time. A few details, like the windshield wiper is still missing. Anyway, let me know what you think Best regards

I've always been intrigued by the utility vehicles to which the railroad companies attach retractable flanged wheels to allow them to ride the rails. So when I saw the image shown in the upper left of an actual VW bus version, I knew I had to modify my own microbus model. And inspired by the image of a prototype pickup bus shown in the upper right, I decided to go off the deep end and design a stake truck version. Before I started texturing the finished model I decided it was best to add bones, constraints and finish the movement of the wheels. Considering the time I spent tweaking it, especially the hydraulic hoses, the action is remarkably boring. I suppose in som…

Hi everybody, My first bigger 3-D Animation job is online now and I am eager to hear your opinions. Its the middle-toonpart of a flash-animation. To view it go to: http://www.vw-polo.de then wait until the "real"-animation of the car has ended. Then you can choose > Helden (heroes ) > Gewinner (winner) > Abenteurer ( adventurer) now you get my toonrenndered animations ... at the end with "nochmal spielen" you can play it again. Great thanks to everybody, who helped me on finishing this job. I learned a lot ;>) Jake

I have looked at them for so long I don't know if they look right or not. I would appreciate it if someone would please take a look and let me know if they look realistic.110416Walk.mov

My tall character walks fine when I slide the scrubber back and forth, but when I render [shaded] he simply slides along in the starting position. The little guy is fine. I have noticed that when I drop an Action on the tall guy and want, say, six cycles, they don't show as individual blocks in the PWS as do the cycles for the short guy. Is this pointing to the problem? MOTERCYCLE_TEST.zip

I made this a couple of days ago just to try out pose-to-pose animation for the first time. It was a kinda messy attempt, but I learned some from it and hope to use the experience in my next attempts. I'm mainly looking for suggestions/critiques but comments are always nice too. Oh, and its rather rough too... I was just trying to catch the broad motions. Thanks!, --Ross wtw3.mov

Thanks to all that commented on the walk cycle, here I have completed the run and walk cycles and gave them stride length for a path walk/run. I put both cycles in the animation but each is the same path just rendered seperately. FinalTestWRLg.mov

One of Many models I am working on for a personal project: It was inspired by the following image. Plus Crabs, Spiders and Turtles. Feng Zhu inspiration Here is afront leg about 2/3 modelled. I will take any constructive criticism OTHER THAN: Too many patches, I would have used a 5 point patch, etc...I model the patch style I do and I'm content.

This is the "Nice Tan" glam pic for eggprops. It includes the Yves Poissant skin shader that gives it that nice "warm" look. It does have a significant hit on render times. . . and the material works ok without it but with it. . . oooo wee. . . sexy huh!?! You can see it on eggprops <here> And then we have. . . a Zombie material. Very clean elegant material. Make sure to shoot them in the head. . . its the only way to kill them. . . . It can be found <here> And then the last one is a cool Reptile material. And that can be found <here>

Wrapping up the the "dry" (rough) run on my most recent animation project. I'm fairly satisfied sands some minor tweaking of some of the animation and editing that needs to be done. The sounds are just place holders(BTW: any know of any GOOD sound fx resources) Just wanted to get some other opinions before I started to render. Here are the clips: SCI01.mov SCI02.mov SCI03.mov

myGameTV.com is a new syndicated video game review TV show. The show airs in Florida as well as worldwide on the internet. We're like Siskel & Ebert on crack. We're seeking animated shorts 1-5 minutes long that are hilariously funny, maybe a little controversial. If they are gaming related that is a plus. Although there is no compensation, we offer screen credit and there is a lot of exposure and we can also plug your website on television. Here's a warehouse I began working on that was going to be used for a background in a 3d game. Turned out they decided to go a different direction so I didn't take it much further. But I rendered it out. I bought Emilio's Sweeper plugin, and I used it here to make the walkway, railings, zig zag beam on ceiling and iron beams. It worked really well, very pleased with that! Funny thing, whenever I tried rendering this with multipass I got horrible renders. Turning it off, it came out much much better. Not sure if this has to do with volumetrics on the lights or what. C&C welcome. Tom

A:M has been my main hobby for almost 19 years. (My oldest copy of the render module, render.exe, is dated Feb. 26, 1993). Over that time A:M has improved and I've learned a lot about modeling, texturing, lighting and observing the real world. Now that I'm getting comfortable with my new hardware, Win7_64 and v16 I've decided to go through every one of my models to bring them to a consistent level of craftsmanship. The first model to get an upgrade is the brick facade of a warehouse-like building. I don't usually keep old renders but in this case I have the warehouse from: 2001 - Toonation Brick Plug-in, simple lighting model, procedural sky, incredible day-glow colo…

Hi This is my latest project I have been working on. I made the entire model using the 3D model in the "Dawn of War" demo. I also used it for the decals (print screen). My only concerns are that: - the laser from the 3rd tank isn't 'fuzzy' enough - the sides on the tanks are to plane Any comments would be appreciated

I thought it would be relatively simple - but how wrong I was! But I have learned a lot so far; but I know that I have a long way to go. Side_View_Dust_v10_sphere.mov Front_View_Dust_v10_sphere.mov I am trying to weaponize it now. I found the tutorials on making an electric arc in a Jacobs Ladder and I thought this would serve as the output of the PPCs. Having trouble though.
