Well- not quite as humorous as a dancing Chewbacca...but what is? I stmbled across a 'boxer' motion capture file and I had recently modelled and rigged a boxer...so I put the two together! http://campbellanimation.com

Well, it's not perfect, but it's nice to be done with something. Started this as an exercise and feel like it turned out alright. Would love to hear any crits before I start on another animation. Thanks! Here's Boxman VS Fridge -Nathan

I'm making a logo animation for a company. Their logo includes a brain, so the animation is going to be centered around a brain mascot character. This is what I have so far.

Okay so I've been working on this character, his name is Brainfart, and I'm having one, I'm kinda stuck on the look. Something looks off to me and I'm not sure what, anyone got any comments, I'ld love to hear some ideas. The thing on top will be a headlight. Thanks, Andy.

So here's what I've come up with for my Brainfart character. I'm still rigging him so he'll be moving soon. If anyone has any comments or suggestions I'd love to hear them. Thanks, Andy.

I finally finished this animation. It's been a lot of off-and-on work, but I think I'm happy with where it is right now. This animation is my first REAL completed animation. Everything in it, from concept to modeling to texturing to animation to audio was done by me. And the link: https://mywebspace.wisc.edu/vandeweghe/web/...eactionsweb.mov Here's the link to thier website: http://www.brainreactions.com/index.php

I just posted this at cg talk and figure I would post here too... So after years of staring at the cereal box, I figured I'd try and put together a model of Tony the Tiger. This is a movie clip of his head. Everythig is geometry, except his mouth, which is a texture map for the moment. I want to see if I can model his mouth in there while staying true to the illustrated version... Anyhows, if you get a minute check it out.... for you sticklers on detail... I know I'm missing the nostrils at the moment! I plan on modelling the whole body too, but I want to figure out the mouth before.... http://www.3dartz.com/WIPs/TTA.mov Mike Fitz www.3dartz.com

I don't know how many renders I've made of this scene and I just noticed that the grass on the right doesn't fill the frame. Oh well, one more thing to work on. Other things: I think larger sprites would make the mist look better. The blue rock she's honding should be glowing and shiney. Guess I forgot to turn Glow on. The land in the back needs something to establish how far away it is. Like a fence or signs or something. I need to find a solution to her hair. Now a hair material's length is driven by a BW targa but, as seen on her forehead, doesn't disappear where I expected it to. Maybe I'll put the hair material on a separate mesh underneath…

This is just the ground floor of a multi-story building, the design of which is loosely based on a local building (but it's not called the Brill Building). The sidewalk needs more dirt and clutter. And yes, there is a clone of the building across the street so there's something to reflect in the windows. Next step is the upper floors.

I'm taking a huge break from the really detailed stuff i've made, obviously. maybe im just getting lazier. I already made the pieces match up with the grid. Took me a while, but i've got the numbers exact, so now it's time to have some fun with this... one of my ideas is to add walls to the project and have a "Next Block" tunnel for the next block to travel through, obviously making this into an animation. Can i get some more ideas though?

I'm quickly putting together a promotional brochure for our project to show a producer on Friday. I know it's a long shot but the last time I saw this guy was 16 years ago and he remembered me and the stuff I showed him then! I'm hoping a few of the other animators will come with me for support. Will let you know how it goes - good or bad

Hey, I just wanted to say that I was a little to hasty when I got all sore about the forum a few weeks ago. Yesterday I used A:M for the first time in like 2 months, anyways, I noticed that it sparked my artistic side, and I did a lot better in my art classes. Sorry for the way I reacted two weeks ago, anyways, I hope you enjoy this simple render of 3 spheres. The ground for the first one is White with 200% diffuse and 100% reflectivity. The 3 spheres are 75% transparent and 100% reflective. This one was rendered at 1000wide 900high The ground for the second one is Black with 100% reflectivity, and the spheres are the same attributes as the first. Thi…

Ok here is a very quick animation test of what will hopefully be a stampede of buffalo. Right now everything is in sync but this is just a test of dust kicking up, the render was not a final but shaded with particles. The project Im working on is a music video of a song I wrote with a little help from a friend in the UK. The song titled "Buffalo Song" is about the slaughter of the American Buffalo / Bison. Mov file appx 2 mb P.S. Im looking for a version 13 (and latest release of) of A:M obviously used is fine, I eventually want a collection of ALL A:M releases, even when it was not called A:M.... Thanks, Mike Dust_test_3_Buffalo.mov

I wanted to experiment with using motion capture to create a looping walk cycle. I used Animazoo's "Hooker Walk", chose a good stride loop, removed the unwanted movement, turned on 'stride length', and SHAZAAM. pimpstrut2_20.mov I know mr. Bigboote made one of his girls walk with this same mo-cap, but I can't find it right now.

I'm workingo on changing a project that I'd started in Anim8or to Animation Master, and then making a feature film, but I need a little help. I need someone who can make a photorealistic face. I've tried four times, but it comes out way to wonky to work. The rotoscopes are attached to this post and if anybody is willing to do it, please let me know!! All I need is the face, you don't have to do the whole head becuase I have different ideas for the hair and the rotoscopes attached are just guidelines for the project. I don't need the face textured or rigged, I can do all of that, all I need is it built, so help me please! Oh, the face is about 10 inches tall if that…

Something trivial I'm sure, but how do you make a bulb or any other self-illuminated object give off a nice glow? The pic has the KeyLight on set to 21% with the FillLight turned off. One new light (set to "bulb") is placed in the center of the bulb model with volumetrics On and intensity turned to 100%. The glow shows nicely on the floor, but the 80% transparent "bulb" model isn't illuminated at all. Am I missing something (obviously), or is it not possible to make a light source shine from the center of an transparent object/model and illuminate the object as well as the surroundings? Please help me shine some light on the subject Gotta get out m…

Did my first 'quadruped' using TSM2 in Version 16... what a great utility that TSM2 still is... to rig something that complicated that quickly... come on! ONE THING TO REMEMBER, TSM2 will not show-up in the 64 bit version of A:M... so it will behoove users to keep both the 32 and 64 bit versions around. THANKS to Shawn Rogers aka 'newguy' for letting me share this work. bull.mov

The market is children's television in the 4 to 6 year old range. I've gotten a lot of feedback from a bullpen of about 30 people. The following list is what they and I came up with. If you'd like to help me out, please add to, or subtract from the list. I'm looking forward to making this into a prime little spot. I have run into some difficulty with bumpmaping. When I apply it on a simple grey surface it works quite nicely with 150% But when I add some procedural parameters on that surface it no longer shows up. (Same is happening when I add a fake rim light to the whole model) It`s not supposed to be that way is it? What can I possibly be doing wrong? I am on PC AM15f

Just threw a bunch of old, half finished models into a choreography and added some paths. All very rough and simple. Just a run cycle on a path. No bending into corners, no interesting antics, no nothin'... just a run cycle for the moment. Oh. It's only 320 x 240 and all hair/grass/foliage was turned off to get a fairly quick test render with just one pass.

Still lots of fiddling for textures to do on this, here is the first test render. In particular I need to fix the darkness on the buns and redo the bump map on all as well as redo the lettuce texture. The tomato slice also needs a bump map.
