We have a case we're working on where bottles inside the vehicle served as a distraction to the driver. My 16 year old son, modeled this bottle. I don't know if there was any fluid in the bottle (although one would think that if it was a distraction it must have). He'll need to figure that part out. So far so good... (6-17-06) Spent the WHOLE day on this sucker, making changes and touching up with Displays and other controls. Also added color for more interest... Next is: parts of the seat "frame". I was almost in Fray because I wasnt sure how to make the seat look like it had "padding" due to the shape of the seat. Well, it's been a while since I had any chance to do any modeling, so I thought the best way was to model something I'm really interested in...The Honda Rune. So far I have the back fender, front fender, and gas tank (thanks to help on the main forum). Got a ways to go, but it's coming along. I am basing this off of some press photos (top and side views, but they don't quite match...), as well as a little scale model I have. Someday soon I'll be able to fork out the $25k or so to buy a real one. In the meantime I've been developing hardbags for the Rune, which will be available in less than a month (if you have a Rune...or VTX 1800). Comments are welcome. …

It's been a while since I posted anything in this area. Here is a clip of a case we have been working on for a long time. The Lawyer had to go off for military duty, so it was on hold. We were not happy with the vehicle interaction from the image perspective we had, so we decided to try a different image. Originally I had modeled the environment from a satellite photo and was able to use it for multiple views in Live action. It was a compromise all around. I decided to model the environment to suit the image, which results in strange looking modeled topography, but looks right in the final product, which leads us to where we are today. The …

Hello peoples! I have just finished Keystones (Keystone Online Highschool Home Page) AM course. I am just waiting for my last grade. So I thought I would show you what sort of stuff this course has you go through. No videos though. Most are AVI and too big for the forum and my comp won't render MOVs. Since I have been off (from work... ) this week I been pushing some ideas I've been thinking about on my commute to & from work so here is another one. I used an expression to move a series of bones on a plane to make waves. The actual expression was applied to each bone with a simple copy and paste and a tweak. It needs adjustment since it is a bit fast but I wanted to try a render. So I grabbed a boat off the cd, a darktree material, for the water, added a null following a spline on the grid, to contrain the boat's position and rendered. Its only a single multipass to speed things up ( slow computer) and a litttle jaggy but here it is wavetest.mov …

Here is my victorian house. I never would have started this if I knew how much work all the little peices of trim would be. It is still very much a WIP, but of course C&C would be great. The bottom floor is mostly done, but the upper floor and tower are barely begun. I am using a tune render beacuse it shows more of the detail before I texture and color. oh and the colors are just placeholders

I'm working on some 3d female templates, I've been working on it off an on for a while but I'm still not happy with what i have (still much better than what I had before) I'd appreciate it if i got some suggestions as to what to do with the model http://emar0.angeltowns.com/misc/femaleNX53.mdl the hips or the thighs here seem to be too large for the torso, I'm afraid of trying to warp or distort the proportions of the model. Here is something that I have been WIPping up: If you scroll to about 3/8ths of the way through this movie you will notice a frame where the hair completely disappears. Is this a known bug? Anyone else seen this? I have been trying to get a good mix for silvery-white hair but it just comes out looking too flat. Also there seems to be an issue with hair guides not behaving well on the edges of 5-point patches. Does anyone have any hair tips? I am also experimenting with modelled hair. Looking for the best options.

Hey Guys, It's Simon, Director and Animator for SIP's longest running 3D Production, Against The Author, The Beginning of the End. I just thought after recently returning to browse the Animation Master Forums that I should stop in and post a little preview on how things are going with ATA. Well, the movie was suppose to be released Winter 2006, and, a few weeks before release, we had a system crash and lost most of our work. Last night I modified the demon sprite by selecting some of the mesh in the head and extruding it up to form a helmet, then added the lenses. When I looked at him in the Choreography, the helmet was there. as expected, until the head section moved away from its default posirtion. 'Looey' runs down a length of road and the helmet follows behind. How is it that the model can come apart? I've never seen this before. I closed out, did a re-start...but it didn't help.

Hi all: I am resurrecting an old model, Disney's Nautilus, and am having a strange thing happen. When I try to render the submarine with fog, the fog does not show up in the final render. To compare, I rendered a whale and it came out fine, fog n' all. The attached pic shows both models, the Nautilus and the whale positioned in the same space in the chor to show you what I mean. As you can see, the whale's back end is shrouded in the fog as intended, but the Nautilus's stern is rendering like there is no fog applied. Mind you, this is not two renders superimposed, this is one render with fog and two models in the same general area. Why and how does the Naut…

Am trying to set stride length on the Wright Sprite. I can marquee the little yellow dot [it turns black in the center] but it won't move. I get the four-headed arrow cursor by touching it to the yellow dot, but it won't slide. Any thoughts?
