  1. Ok well if I select it to be sperical then it isn't particles its just a material texture. Anyhow, when I have the particles on with the better settings it still isn't a stream, it is flowing out in a cone shape. How can I narrow it to a stream? As it is, it really looks silly as hell . I also want to know how to setup some way of making it glow like a jet engine. Glow not just a blue color. Here are 2 pics. One is of the emitter and the other is the cone shape issue. Thanks for your help guys. Edit: oh you may notices that it is peaked on alot of the plane, well that is because if it is unpeaked it looks like some blimpy ugly cartoon Some reason this program wont draw straight lines so I have to peak them.
  2. Yes, John. exactly what I am looking for. Im gunna download your project file and I might just see what ya did! I just have trouble with all the jargon it would be nice if there was a "for dummies" book for AM Ok, ill post pics soon if I got it to work. Noganite
  3. Thank you Muff. However I dont have anything except this program and what it came with and the download for that movie file takes up too much of my work time. Would be nice if the gentleman who created it would make it so people without fast connections could view it (similar to the tuts on the old Hash site). Through trial and error I managed to figure out how to get particles going but now my issue is with keeping them in a strait line. I also was able to find A forum topic that had the flame thing I was looking for. I really just want to make my own cause this will be viewed by the public. Here is a pic of what seems to be going on. Also a pic of my settings.
  4. Im trying to understand how to make custom particle for use as my jets after burner and a hot air baloons burners. Also need to understand how to make a missle blow up into pieces upon impact with an object. I guess this program is easy if you understand the jargon. Noganite
  5. Cool example! Thank you! Uhm so you rendered it in parts with the one camera? The prj file didnt work for some reason so I cant really tell what you did. I have multi views and one scene. I think ill render each part and throw it together in windows movie maker (yeah I am not rich enough to get adobe premiere [could barely get this prog ]) . I will be using the one camera though that would make things a little easy I guess, but it sure would be nice to have multi cameras in a scene doing stuff at the same time switching between each camera's view.
  6. In a multi-camera setup, how does one make them so when you want to switch from viewing through one camera trained on one object to later going to another camera that is trained on another object? I have messed with the timeline but I'm unsure how to do this. Some assistance would be greatly welcomed. Kind of like having two people talking in a movie and the camera view switches from one face to another as they speak. Thank you ahead of time! Noganite
  7. How do you access the font wizard?! I haven't seen such a thing before. Using AM v13 (yeti)
  8. Here is my first model and I am not finished with it yet.
  9. Well the topic says it all! I want to know how does one make mountains, etc in A:M? I am almost done with the model I want in the scene, but I never saw a tut on making background scenery etc. Thank you ahead of time for your assistance. Desert type terrain would be nice for my plan. NOG@N1T3
  10. WOOT! Ok, here is the models progress thus far!! Now I need to get some assistance as to how can I make a skin that has the semi glossy look/obaque look of an F-16. Also I want to know how to make a descent camo scheme. Thanks for all the help thus far!!
  11. Well, I have redone about 90% of the model and added the elevators and alerons! I, as you can see, am working on the tail and soon will be working on the cockpit.
  12. When I am done with this project I plan on it to be fully animated with partical effects, motion blur, the whole nine yards. How much would one charge for a project like that? It is for a commercial.
  13. Awesome-ness, thanks! Yeah I was wondering what the pink fuzzies were all about
  14. I am happy to report that CFA worked very well after I redid parts of the model and made sure it was, for the most part, straight! What you see here is the model mirrored (it has gone through drastic change indeed ) and a pic of the model against the roto-scope .Thank you guys (and gal) again!
  15. LOL Caroline ! Thank you guys for your help I think it will work just fine I just need to straighten the side that is ment to be flat and then I will try it but I belive I understand now. If it doesnt work ill post what I did to see where I went wrong.
