Here's a great dragon model from the extra cd. The model was created by Eduardo A. Gutierrez (eos). I've always wanted to make a scene with a dragon, but was never good enough to model one. So, with the dragon model already available, I can start working on a scene. I made a few modifications to the model and now I'm ready to think about what kind of scene I want to do, I have a few ideas I want to do. Here's a pic of the dragon, I'm sure some of you remember this model.

Haven't showed anything in a while so... I have been inspired by Stian's cathedral to do some modelling. I was looking at the intricate detail on a US $1 bill and thought... I'll do it in 3D! 4 days and 28,000 patches later... The 'George Washington' bust was big fun to do. I rotoed the basic shapes and began extruding. I borrowed Sir Nigels nose. I am now rigging it for basic motion...eyes, neck/head, mouth/jaw...maybe I'll get ambitious and do some ZignTrack motion capture. I will do some basic zooms and pans, maybe try to sell this for a TV spot or something... DOLLARsmall.mov

I've been working to update the "Yeti" model from my sci-fi scene trying to get him up to snuff. I'm going to use him in a short I'm planning to get around to (some year). I'm currently working on the facial rig but I want to get some feedback on the overall model. Anyway, let me know what you think. Thanks. Kevin

Ok, I don't know how I got started on this late at night, but we were reading Go, Dog, Go! It's always been one of my favorite books when I was a kid and I loved their cars. I thought it might be easy to model so here is what I came up with. First time playing with materials too. I'll want to play around with it some more later, make some rubber for the tires, seats in, steering wheel and grille, few other things. C&C welcome

Should I make arms and head and improvise torso? Or maybe make torso and attatch to other parts? Pict shows how far i am now. Help, please.

In a little house by the river lives Platypus....or he might if I get that far The idea's been in my idea's folder for some time, an Australian take on Wind in the Willows. initial sketch and the first start. The tree's from the Hash cd, but since it's one of mine I won't feel guilty. It's a stand-in until I build the cottage and some of the surrounding scene.

Well, I've been working on this site with a huge team of other people for over 2 years, and it finally launched today. It'll be a while before I can put up any of the work on my site so I'm showing it on theirs. Some of the modeling was done in AM... All the hard stuff at least ;-) (namely any statues you see) I wont go into much other detail at this point. I led the group who was responsible for the 3d development. We recreated... The Ancient City of Alexandria, The Giza Plateau in 2 time periods, The Temple of Luxor over 4 time periods, and The entire tomb of King Tut as it existed when it was found. We also created all of the 3d for the Multimedia anima…

I felt like playing around tonight and modeled this generic character. I was thinking that I'd rig it up and donate it to our Contributor's board. The idea I'm playing with is that when it's rigged, there would be bones that could be used for customizing the character. The practical bit being that a user could create an action, import things like hair, nose, eyes, etc. and then constrain them to the customizing bones. Folks could contribute those custom elements (noses, etc.) that the user could choose from to create their own custom character. Kind of Mr. Potato-like. Would there be an interest in something like this?

Hey everyone, I recently stated elsewhere that I was going to take the comments I got on my demo reel to heart and rework it so that I incorporated all the suggestions. Well, I haven't done that yet, because I decided to build myself a Tyrannosaurus rex. I always wanted to, and now is as good a time as any. Comments welcome! http://www.dinocarl.com/aesthetics/theropo.../trexbellow.jpg Carl

Hey there all, I just started using A:M back in June at the college I go to and I've love it. This was the first model (first anything really) I attempted in 3D. It's not 100% accurate to the real thing but close enough for my liking and first model attempt. As the topic name states its the Liger Zero from the anime Zoids. http://www.cross-firemedia.com/hash/liger0.jpg (toon, no shadows) http://www.cross-firemedia.com/hash/liger0_shwire.jpg (shaded/wireframe) http://www.cross-firemedia.com/hash/liger0_wire.jpg (wireframe) -Adam

Hi All, This is some setdesign I created thus far in order to bring some of my 2d comicbook creations to a 3d live for use in movies and games. At the same time, I am experimenting, if e-books from the kindle store could be a possible way for distribution of my comicbooks with these characters. The hardcopy version I tried from lulu gets way too expensive. You can see both and some more pictures at my website related to this topic: http://www.moonshinegirl.com -ONLY FOR ADULTS- Has anybody else here tried e-books for comics yet? cheers Jake

Did my first 'quadruped' using TSM2 in Version 16... what a great utility that TSM2 still is... to rig something that complicated that quickly... come on! ONE THING TO REMEMBER, TSM2 will not show-up in the 64 bit version of A:M... so it will behoove users to keep both the 32 and 64 bit versions around. THANKS to Shawn Rogers aka 'newguy' for letting me share this work. bull.mov

I am going to be making a CG trailer for my company The Backyard Games first released game Office Bowling. As of right now it is playable on Facebook and it will soon becoming to iOS and Android phones and tablets. It is being made with Unity 3d. All animations done in Animation Master. Modelling with Animation Master and 3ds Max and UV Mapped with 3ds Max. Every visual aspect of the game was done by me. Except, which seems very major, is the main character model and his main 4 skins that come with the game. I came onto the project after he had chosen to use this character. However, I did do all of the animations and rigged the character myself in Animation Master. And th…

Finished this up a couple days ago. It's basically a ninja egg dodging a bullet with a backflip. I really wanted to just play around with bullet time and slo-mo. And it was pretty simple character to model and rig. Works pretty good as far as animating goes too. Anyway, just a little contibution to the community. Enjoy. Egg.wmv

Hey guys, remember that incredibles rip off I made over the summer? Well even if not, I had a model produced and painted over the summer but for some reason or another I never got around to posting. I built this in A:M, no duh! And had to export it and save as an stl file.... which was not as easy as you might think. I wound up using a box modeller app to seal up the geometry and save as an stl. color spec image http://www.vrcops.com/3dfile/IncGuy.jpg model images http://www.vrcops.com/3dfile/3dToy/Toy1.jpg http://www.vrcops.com/3dfile/3dToy/Toy2.jpg http://www.vrcops.com/3dfile/3dToy/Toy3.jpg http://www.vrcops.com/3dfile/3dToy/Toy4.jpg http://ww…

They are just simple poses. Sitting, Leaning against a wall, and standing on one foot. How close or far did I get from the mark of showing "character"?

Hi! I recently modeled a stick figure like the one they use at Animation Mentor (that could be a no no, but it's for personal use). I like practicing simple basic animation, that one got longer than what I originally planned. I plan to refine it more, but I am not sure what works and what doesn't anymore(watched it too many times). New eyes welcome. parc_bench.mov Michel

Well, it's been years, but I finally started on my first female character. Let me state first off that the character I am supposed to be modeling is supposed to be small breasted, but for some reason they got modeled bigger. I am quite serious when I say I tried to model them smaller and ended up with her looking slightly more voluptious. I will be working on reducing the breast area when I make the actual character. This version will be my female base for later use anyway. This isn't done yet so please keep that in mind. I had trouble getting this far with the model. I think modeling only males has hampered me in this area. Comments and suggestions al…

I had a problem yesterday when I indadvertedly moved some bones in the rig. So today I was reinstalling the rig and working away steadily when suddenly the mesh and the rig disappeared in the model window. I reverted but the problem was still there ( or not as it were ). If I do a quick render the model appears to be there but if I try to edit the mesh or the rig nothing is visible in the appropriate window. ??? This applies in an action window as well as a model window. Can anyone please tell me what might have happened so I can avoid doing it again and get on with the rest of the work ? regards simon IMac, V15J,OSX 10.68 Eve_Blox_Toon_.md…

Hey guys, I did this animation about a week ago using AMv14. I've tweaked it as much as possible, but something feels like it could be better. Since it was a test animation for a bigger project, I may not do any more tweaks, but I would love suggestions to make the real thing the best it can be. Thanks. Justin NanoWar2.mov
