Hi, I'm working on the Temple of Zeus in Olympia, Greece. The following pictures are from the West Pediment. I think I need some help with the lighting. It's supposed to be fairly realistic but I'm not sure what else to do to it. Not all the figures you see have been textured yet. I'm working on that too. Suggestions would be most welcome. Thanks.

I just finished a small presentation for the Wesley Mission. Their major symbol is the dove so I built a simple 3d dove as a unifying element. The project only had a two day turnaround, so I rendered it in realtime shaded mode and then used Mirage to add drop shadows. I also rendered the doves to load into Mirage's particle engine for the transitions. [attachmentid=18054] SOMVideo Unfortunately it's not streaming so it'll take a while to load (5mb), or you can right click and save the swf.

Ok.... Those of you that were following the other thread, I thought I would post the results of all my spline tweaking. after I had fixed the arm, I had noticed that the leg was jacked up too, so I fixed that. There's still a *tiny* glitch at the back of the leg, but the clay shader mostly hides it. I have attached a couple screenshots, I think you will agree that it looks much much better. Hi. I have noticed some strangeness in hair from time to time and the attached file is an example of a current problem. Dynamics and collision detection are turned off yet I am getting this distortion occuring, as if collision detection were activated. Any ideas? This model still requires alot of work on the geometry and rig but I have a problem that someone may be able to shed some light on. For some reason the head bone refuses to work in an action or choreography. I have tried creating a pose slider to get around this but that refuses to work too. Any ideas what could be preventing me from rotating the head bone? Thanks for any ideas! [attachmentid…

Our new film has been off to a slow start.. mainly beacuse iv been having a lot of problems with it lol. so after some large problems I decided to take the long weekend off. (including yesterday) but I didn't want to stop modeling cuz i love it so I decided to make some lego.. mainly because its easy, fun, and I just recently watched leo's "Beatles: A tribute" I went with the Rebel snowspeeder, because it was the only lego thing I had still standing lol only took me 1 day to make all the pieces and four hours today to build it. Here it is so far.. love to here what u think

I was looking through some of my old comics & annuals, trying to decide if anything was suitable for my seven year old (none of it is). There was a pretty good schematic for Judge Dredd's bike, so I started on it. This is the MkI Lawmaster. The Mk2 has cannons. These are the ones from the 2000AD and Judge Dredd comics: the one in the Stallone film is just a disguised Harley, so it has relatively thin tyres. I don't recall the flying one in the film ever being in the comics, but they did start thirty years ago (God I'm old, now) so my memory may have failed me. There are some obvious faults, such as one of the tailpipes going through the rear wheel bodywork, …

Hey guys, well it's been a while since I put myself through a speed test. Since I have this new character to mess around with, I thought I'd put something together. I literally put this together in 20.min. I used a run cycle that I previously made, put a path in, then animated the dive in the cho. window. Don't know if there is anything more I will do to it, even though I know there's all sorts of stuff to adjust..... Here's a cupid :wub:I did for a V-day card for my wife. I didn't have time to animate him. He has only a skeleton and no animation rig right now. I pirated most of his mesh from my faun character, and pulled his feet off a critter on the AM cd. Lingthing is Ambient occlusion and one spotlight at about 250% from behind for the rim lighting. Comments or crits welcome, but I probably won't do any more with him now that VDay is past. matt www.animattic.us

As the Pleistocene was ending, and just before the Apple II hit the market, [c.1970] I had moved to San Francisco. Being a graphic designer with fair-to-middlin’ design skills, but little drawing ability, I became enthralled by the idiosyncratic styles of the underground comic artists. Somewhere inside me, a voice said ‘you can do this’. It took a while, but I eventually put out two issues of “Four-Fisted Talesâ€. [just as the underground days were ending] After Issue#1, I posted notices at local comics stores looking for artists to back me on Issue#2. Thus I met Norm Silveira. As we rubbed along building Issue#2, it became clear that we each focused on different …

Hi, Many have seen these models before but… here they are again. Using Bill Young’s ‘Model a Face’ CD from Anzovin Studio, one model was based on my face and one was based on my daughter’s. Mine could be a little better, my daughter’s came out pretty good. Both heads are rigged using one of the first face rigs presented in the AM community; Shawn Freeman's as shown on one of the AM SIG Pro Training sets. On one, you can see that I've overlaid the 3D face control setup from an early version of the Squetch rig. Latter images show both the models in scenes from my current project. Comments welcome, Rusty

The Dark Skull Productions team, Rich Jackson and John Hubickey have been working on the "TekNu" Project Sentinel character over the past couple of days and we want to share a high quality rendering. This character will be one of the bad guys in the upcoming "TekNu" mini sci-fi movie project. { warning, image 1.6 meg. 3900 x 3900 px } The Sentinel is approximately 10' to 12' tall, menacing, fast, and will do as commanded. Driven by the Core computer of the mechanical planet, the Sentinel is the robotic workhorse and will perform tasks such as moving heavy equipment, sentry duty and even destroying or killing anything or person the central computer finds a t…

Well it's been a long while. Little bit here, little bit there but I have something that I want to show. Yes, the lighting needs work. Yes, some of the sounds need a little tweaking. And yes, some of the textures might need modification. But what the hell, it tells the story so far! I will perfect it and add a little bit more before contecting the other bits I have done and then I think I will be almost half way through my little flick which should be all of 10-15 minutes. I am pleased... I think... BE WARNED IT IS NEARLY 60MB BIG AND YOU NEED QUICKTIME 5.0 OR ABOVE Bear Wood

I took my fish character, duped the head, installed mouth bones and started playing with building Sliders. 1st question: Can you have three [more than two, anyway] mouth positions on one slider? For example: "AH" at 0%. "EE" at 50% and "OO" at 100%? At the moment, it would appear not...only my two-position sliders move anything on the model...but hope springs eternal. 2nd: When I copied the fish's head, it's textures came over with it. I can do a snapshot in the Modeling/Bones window, and in the Action window, and it looks fine. But in the Choreography, it's solid black. Where did the textures go?

I have a stone floor texture. I bring it in as a decal, but it has to be re-sized. I have a high contrast black & white version I want to used as a bump. How do I get them aligned? I've been struggling with them, and they have to be perfectly in sync or it looks like a red/green stereo image, seen without the glasses.

Just a little something I was busy on this weekend, thought I could get some comments. I modeled a Starship Enterprise and it was my goal to get it as detailed as possible. It's still in the works. (I have to add an animated door, some decals and some lights.) Without further adeu, the Big-E! I also decided to do a drastic re-design of the Galileo. It' was inspired by an Enterprise-E shuttle. Please give me some feedback!

Please have a look at this carscene. I have some questions: I have a sunlight directed from the left and a klieglight from the right enligthening the sign and cast shadows on, but the shadows are not like I would expect them. Under the car it looks as if only the axles and tyres cast shadow but not the body of the car, also there is no shadow under the bridge and the sign is casting no shadow as well ( I would expect like see my painting.) Second, is there a way to avoid decals showing from the backside. Any help? Thank you Jake
