Ever since I made my image "The Satyr and the Apple" I had planned on making a full image on the subject. It will include a few characters in a outdoor forest grove that resembles a noble's court. Right now all I have is decals on the cloth and eyes. SSS is on the skin. I will be adding decals later and hair will be added toward the end of the project. My bread and butter job is it, to edit and layout magazinea about cheats for computer games. While most of this work is basicali quite boring, i get for each mag the chance, to produce on full page illustration. Most of the time i have to do it quickly because i am most of the time on a tight schedule. So i put them pieces together and look what i can get out of the leftovers. This one on these pictures, the latest one, which turned out to be quite nice, in my opinion. It is made out of a couple of dungeon wall and floor pieces, two root modells, a couple of DT-Textures, one particle system and a modifyed bloom post effect. Hope you like it! Cheers Heiner

This is my Ship. This image was created in 2002 for the "blue" image contest, but I missed the deadline because I messed up the date in my head by a day. Bummer. But obviously it's an older version of the model (my computer is getting fixed up right now, I'll be able to post some better stuff in a few days), so it's definately come a long way. In the short I'm working on, I have a ghost that appears for a bit and would like it so that he is not only transparent, but also casts a small bit of light on whatever he is near. Hey, Just wanted to show and gather oppinions as I develop this project. I don't want to rush this short so before I started modeling i spent weeks trying to finalise just one of three/four characters! Named just Gobelah right now - hes a goblin of sorts. here is a side view but bear in mind i think id preferr bigger ears.

After a long time, I came back to a project of mine , that I had left , when I run into too many difficulties. So now I did some more tests for it with very promising results, since AM or better me with AM are now capable to render even Full-HD sizes in a reasonable amount of time. I am still not sure, if I should go with a toony "Manga/Anime" style or go for a 3D look. Tending more to the later at the moment , while at the same time not wanting to do that much texturing work, I am testing procedural textures (materials) and fake rim light for gaining a "non nude" 3Dlook . critics welcome... Went through my pc and came across an older project where I made a base female body (for something to work off from). So I decided to make my griffon project again which was why I was inspired to make the base body. Here is the finished head attached to my base body. Might be pointying her ears, I haven't decided yet. This is my first female head ever after I don't know how many years of modeling. I think it looks pretty good. Not perfect, but pretty good. Next to build clothing and armor for my griffon rider. Comments welcome .

Hello pros, cons and lurkers, I've been tearing what's left of my hair out trying to decide if my choice(s) for my first short short is/are a good one. I had originally decided on 'Donny' and posted him here in the WIP section. Well, as I have decided to learn rigging in a serious way, and have yet to do any real animation, I think I may not be ready for that short. A revisit of an old idea/project done to test the working method. The old one was a bit of a mess too but liked the idea. The scenario is that, the Mum is starting to learn to play the piano, and the baby has yet to walk. But will by the end of Day Three. This is a rough pass at Day One. Any Critical feedback very welcome. It was animated and rendered in AM, the notes hand coloured in TVP and the composite done in After Effects. Hey there all, I just started using A:M back in June at the college I go to and I've love it. This was the first model (first anything really) I attempted in 3D. It's not 100% accurate to the real thing but close enough for my liking and first model attempt. Every now and then I get a call out of the blue from someone who wants me to be part of their project. These usually don't go anywhere and this is one of them. Anyway, this guy wants to make a movie, for money, using A:M! I read the screenplay, it's got problems but the core concept is a cute one. The main characters are water drops. Well, I went as far as I was going to go with this project. I'm supposed to be learning animation not building cars, so I stopped tweaking. I learned a lot by doing it, the next time I do a car I'll do a bunch of things different. I was going to decal a second version to be a kind of formula 1 racing car, I may still do that for fun - with sponsorships on it and the whole deal. Anyway, here is my first rendered still, the car is pretty much complete as I said. This is using one of Yves 25 light skylights with a 16 pass render. I don't think its centered but oh well. Only two Animation Showdowns got off the ground in August but here are my four-hour efforts: Queezy: Our character had to be so sick he had trouble standing. I never really got the counter action of the arm working right. Mirror: Actually the topic was "You lookin' at me?" but it was defined as a character reacting to a mirror. So that's what you get. A couple of weeks ago, during the June-deal offer, I managed to upgrade my version of A:M from 10.5 to 13.0. And what a leap that was! While I still had the earlier version, I tried to make do with what I could - but one major setback was the uselessness of the hair feature. Now, somewhere in the advancement, I have since gained those new hair and grooming features that allow me so much more control over my hair and fur, to say nothing of the brilliant render quality! Hey guys. I've finished with a one-eyed alien guy. I have a question about decals though...how come black won't show up in decals? is there a way to disable this? It wasn't a problem in this model, but in the future I know it will be...I'm saving the decals as a Jpeg. Do you think that's why? I also am pretty much finished rigging this guy...though I have a couple of questions about that that i'll ask later. Keep your eyes open for some animations

I'm working on rain, and came up with what seemed a clever solution. the rain is streaks, and the splashes on the chair are a flock of rain drops. After much frustration I finally got it working...until I closed and reopened the file. Now only one drop in the flock shows up. I know flocking has been a source of frustration to others, but anyone have advice. Is this just not a playable feature right now? Also anyone ever get Flock Surface constraint to work? I'm working on a rat project where I'm gonna freak out my mom's friend who is terror fie of rats. She lives with my Uncle and they got a pool thinking about having a bunch of rats around the pool or in the pool when they take there little trip I'll make the clip of the rats in the pool and send it to there email and say something like look what was in yall's yard....LOL Yap I got to much time on my hands...
