Hello... and excuse my English (oh, thanks God for the Spell Check) I posted a topic before this one that was about the same animated short, but I decided to create a new one because the name I was using was not very appropriate. This is my latest Test... www.roundbox.net/short/falling7.avi Any comment is welcome: This is the first scene I'm working on, but is one of the last on the short. (If, for any reason, you can not download the movie, go to www.roundbox.net/short and download it from there). I'm going to start working with the poses for the facial expresions on the high res version of the models, but any suggestion on what can be impr…

Here's a simple volumetric shined on a fan. If you want to see the movie, just download it and set the .mov to loop. It was easier and faster to do it that way, and it shows the effect really well. Tell me what you think of it. Fan.zip

Hi, Here is a piece i'm working for a Visual Communication & Design project at school . It's meant to be either on a cliff face or over water so that the main view is of the ocean or something. The tables haven't been added in yet, and the Thom is just for checking scale (he's exactly the same size as me). Just posting it to see what people think of the design aspect. comments appreciated.

Here's a model I started while working on my own Death for a film I'm working on. Anyone know what game this was from? It was 1998 and Lucas had something to do with it. Here's the almost completed model. Need to add textures and buttons but he's about 95% complete.

I tried to make a fantast-style mushroom, something that looked like a fairy or pixy would sleep under. This is what I came up with. The texture is just one I thru onto it.

Please testdrive and examine this baby as hard as you can. Comments welcome. Maybe we could make a new comunity short animation project with it? Just an idea. By the way, I tried to write some notes and description in the fileinfo, no succsess. Is there some special trick to do so? Foliage is always one of those things that takes time. Fur works great but takes forever, however thanks to the team at hash adding the options for cookie cut decals to cast shadows there is a faster option. Here are a couple of tests. Rendering time was about 20 seconds a frame, with all the detail supplied by cookie cut flat planes and zbufffered lights. leaftest.mov leafBilboard.mov

Probably go half%#$ with this thing and won't finish it, but I'll give a start anyway. Well, my first model was extremely primitive, with no parts attatched and my own everything-is-in-a-hierarchy rig. But I'll give this a try and I want to know how I should sort these pics for rotoscopes: gif.bmp

I started this model-no rotoscopes/drawings or pictures by demonstrating to a friend how to construct an eye, then it sort of got fleshed out when I had nothing better to do. Now I cant help but feel I got something a bit wrong, but I may be too involved in his face. He seems to resemble me a lot as well.

I've posted about this before, only then it was supposed to be a CGI film. It's live action now, and it is very CG heavy. I'm in desperate need of two or three volunteer modelers who are talented enough to create photo-real creatures and environments. You also need to be able to rig the models you creature. Basically, a lot of our sets will be digital due to the expense of building them in reality. There castles and medieval homes and things like that that will have to be digital due to cost. Also, I could use one or two people in the animating section, but that won't be needed until probably the end of 2007 or better. So, anyone up for the task? It won't b…

Hi, friends and enemas: Let me direct your attention to Door Number 3, where we find: Oscar vs. FBI Warning This is a piece I did as an intro for a client's demo reel a few months ago. Jeff Lee modeled the text and logo for me and the client provided the character, the "story," and a time limit of ten seconds which was promptly shattered. And don't tell anyone, but this is the first time I ever got paid to animate anything. What madness! Getting paid to do something this fun! Anyway, hope it brings a tiny smile to your eye, or possibly a tear to your lips...

Some one asked about a bouncing ball so I tried rigid body on the 8 patch sphere on the cd ..to help it bounce I added some dynamic feathers (hair) but the impact knocked them off...... V11.1b feathers then united and search for new ball to attach themselves too ps did you know gravity can be adjusted in the chor as needed (this is modified from original post) featherball.mov

I was playing around with feathers and sprite emitters for something I am working on and thought this was pretty sweet. So I am posting it. I could not get the emitter itself to not render. It is turned off and does not show in the Chor but no matter how I rendered it, it would always be there. Oh well Feathers.mov

Hi all. I really like what the programmers did with ver11, especially the way the panels slided in and out to have more room to work with. This got me thinking and I was wondering if this would be a nice feature request. It hard for me to explain so I did an avi of it. http://yojimbo1.homestead.com/files/AM.avi Cheers, --------------------------------------------- Somboun http://yojimbo1.homestead.com/main.html

I've always dreaded going back and editing the geometry of "finished" models because it typically involves breaking decals. Is it possible to work around this by storing decal stamp data on a CP by CP basis, rather than a patch by patch basis? Now, bear with me for a second here. My programming knowledge is pretty limited, so I have no idea how feasible something like this is; if it would work, if it would create ridiculously bloated files, what have you. But I DO know that this is a feature I've wanted for a long, long time and it just kind of occurred to me how one might go about doing it. Here's what I'm thinking. Here's a simple little model made up of fo…

For the scifi contest most people re released their contest entry in stereo. I thought that was really cool so, now that the voting is over I feel it is ok for me to repost my entry in Stereo. I would love for other folks to do the same. oh and I would love comments and criticism.

Here is a newer render of a model I've been working on. It's still not quite finished. I still need to add a couple of beams to support the wooden dummy as well as the anchors of the posts and bolts for the frame. Damn real life! It keeps getting in the way of me actually accomplishing anything. Anyhow, I need some suggestions on what I need to do to improve on it. I'm going for a realistic look, but not photo-real, if you get my meaning. Anyhow, here's the link. http://homepage.mac.com/cluelessmorgan/.Pictures/Test.jpg Also, which one looks better: The pine frame (1) or the red wood frame (2)?

Hi there, Well, finally got round to running a fly-round of my female character. I think I better getting on slapping some bones in her, and start doing some animation with her... I think she still needs smoothing out some more, but I'm just spinning my wheels at the moment, hence the need for some animation. Maybe some clothes on her as well - yes, she's nude, so you have been warned. I based the body on Joe Williamsen's awesome Bisley Warrior Princess, and the head on every single wireframe that I've seen by Jim Talbot - thanks for the constant inspiration, both of ya! The hair and ears were obtained from Vuk Pavlovic (sp?), so thanks go to him. The…
