My friend wanted a new cowboys t-shirt, but he didn't want to pay a lot for it, so he asked me to model him something with Dallas Cowboy stuff on it. So he could take it to the mall and iron it on a t-shirt. Here is the final. [attachmentid=12502] Here is the test render to see what I had. [attachmentid=12501] And here is the picture that it was modeled after. (I couldn't get the gloss look in my model) [attachmentid=12503]

Haven't showed anything in a while so... I have been inspired by Stian's cathedral to do some modelling. I was looking at the intricate detail on a US $1 bill and thought... I'll do it in 3D! 4 days and 28,000 patches later... The 'George Washington' bust was big fun to do. I rotoed the basic shapes and began extruding. I borrowed Sir Nigels nose. I am now rigging it for basic motion...eyes, neck/head, mouth/jaw...maybe I'll get ambitious and do some ZignTrack motion capture. I will do some basic zooms and pans, maybe try to sell this for a TV spot or something... DOLLARsmall.mov

Now that my room scene is basically done, I have begun the animation phase of the opening for my last annual Year in Review video for my church. I'll post new animations from time to time, but for now, here's a cool frame from the animation.

Hi, I'm only charging this female comedian whose in England $200 to put together an intro to her prod cast (first time I ever charge and 'money' for animation work). I took this project mostly so I could track my time and see how my estimate stacked up to reality. Estimate 8 hours/work hours to date 21 and still much to do, LOL. One thing I need to create are 'energy balls'--a special effect--either an animated material or an animated decal (or both). Here's the description: Spheres which are clear energy (almost look watery to give a hint of reflection but mostly clear, yet you don't see THROUGH them to other spheres) and the halo around is an almost fluor…

Wasn't sure if people visit my small section of the forum. I tend to get... weird over there. However this thread is very safe and unpolitical . Yes, I'm tooting my own horn. We all like external gratification. (It's probably statements like that that scare people away from the Verns's World forum. ) I just added a new test of the stage crash on the last post. http://www.hash.com/forums/index.php?s=&am...st&p=260577 I plan to have this short animation done in time for the NYCC (NY ComicCon) which Hash will be attending. I wanted to make a character on which I could use SimCloth. So here she is. I'm really unhappy with the head, though. There seems to be a wealth of things I don't yet know about the face and head. This one's an improvement over other faces I've modeled but I still can't get away from this gaunt, sunken look. I'm also working on ways to make the clothes more interesting (texturing and such). This is a model I've been working on on/off since 2000 cd. I finally decided to post for some help. You may have seen him in a few things I've posted. He went under numerous changes through the years as I upgraded. He's all A:M, no decals. I do have a few things that bother me. (1) the eye brows are just splines drawn as lines. (2) I've tried modeling and decals with no success for the nostrals and the last thing is the bow on his tail. At some point I will break down and buy TSM, but I want to finish it before I rig him. I,ve had alot of inspiration. My house is an eeyore shrine. My wife loves him. So he's been my first model from the begining. Crits are why I've po…

I am working on the quarter animation contest and I thought, (silly me) there was a homer simpson fat man on the CD, but there is not. Also I have asked this to Hash on the use, using the models on the cd, I have yet to find any of the females that are expression ready. Am I looking in the wrong area? Some guidance please on a female with facial expressions and am I crazy about the fat man model?

Hello Everyone, I've been working this animation for the Villikon Chronicles (www.villikonchronicles.com). I have posted the progress of the main female character Mysterre. The texturing will come soon. You can visit my web page to see other artwork and other progress.GraphicAnime Site: VillikonChronicles Project Another thing. If anyone knows about a 3rd party program that imports OBJ or 3DS models into Animation Master well, please let me know. I had someone send me a sentinal model that was done in Maya. He gave me the OBJ model. When I imported it into AM the splines of the model became very jagged and pointy.

Here is this afternoons work on one of a series of characters being developed ( working title of Blockheads ). The style of figure may be recognised ? Any feedback would be welcome, good, bad or please don't bother us again. I've still not learned how to smartskin so that will be the next stage. Points for spotting the sound clip source but, alas, no prizes. ( it was free... ). Thank you in advance for any comments. regards simonTest.mov

Here is one of my characters for an upcoming project. His name is Pana-boon and he is a very hungry, childish bear. Besides only modelling half, and I know he needs paws, feet, eyes, not being done, etc. I'm looking for input about proportions, splinage for animation, rigging, etc. I will be covering him with the new version 11+ hair and rigging him for animation using the standard Hash 2001 rig. Any thoughts or do you see any problem points that may cause headache later in production? What about the overall character design? He will be a mixture of a children's bear / realistic hair with a styalized look. IF that makes sense? Some where between cartoo…

I've never really modeled a good character before. I've had a script for awhile for a short I wanted to do, but never had an idea for a character. After seeing the incredibles, I had an idea what I wanted. I want to make a girl character something like Violet or Mirage (round heads smaller bodies). I don't have any real modeling experience with characters, so how should I go about making her?

I threw this guy together in v12 over the weekend, and am now going through the laborious process of rigging. He's one of the main characters in an as-yet-unnamed project I've been planning for some time now. ...and after the rigging is finished, clothes. I'm going to try and do all of the characters' clothing with v12 SimCloth. Eventually, he'll use Yves' skin shader, but that's not working in v12 right now. I'm not quite as happy with the body; I was going for "gangly, with poor posture and a pot belly", but it ended up looking like a guy's head on a pregnant woman's body. Hopefully he'll look better with clothes on.

Some of you might remember this guy. After hearing Shaun Freeman talk about face rigs and facial animation the other night I realized there was no way given the layout of my models beak it would work...so I redid the beak and surrounding mesh. I still don't know if it will work but I think now at least it will have a better shot. I also redid the decal and applied porcelin. 1st time using porcelin and all I can say is I like it alot. Anyways let me know what you think.

W.I.P. I showed this model (actually pictures of this model) to the attendees of the most recent MAAM user group meeting in Philadelphia PA. I did not have the wire frames to show at the time so I have posted them here today. I have been trying to settle on the overall look of my project and I am leaning towards an toon-lined/ semi-realistic style. This is still a WIP. I have yet to complete a number of things with this model that I intend to complete. Such as: Costume changes. Adding hair to the model. Finishing the rigging and smart skinning of the model. Applying textures to the model. Any questions, comments, and/ or constru…

This is a low res of a rough storyboard to the project I am trying to develop. No dialogue. No sound, and the story will be revised in the coming weeks. The dream sequences, Spaceman, nightmare and car chase, will be done in stop motion, the rest in AM, possibly with a Toon render. What do you guys think?... it's my first model. But I kinda like the way he turned out... I must work on making my models smoother next time. I was actually kinda frustrated with A:M for a while it's veeeery difficult for me to get smooth surfaces... I will try to keep the 5 point surfaces to an absolute minimum. Now I will start adding bones. I'm gonna use the "backbone" tutorial to add the 2001 skeleton. I hope it animates smoothly. Anyway... comments, opinions, questions are most welcome! Hey everyone! I finished something in which I had an idea to do but really was doubting I could pull it off. I made a checkerboard plane and just added fur to it make blue fur come from the blue box on the checker board and the red fur come from the red box on the checkerboard, etc.. Now how I got the animation was I just pulled the guide hairs from left to right on keyframes manually. Now I learned alot from this seeing as I've only been using AM since December 16th and this is my first animation done with AM. It 3 seconds long but what the heck! Ahh, well I hope you all like it! Hi all, About to get started on the next episode of Cheese Wars and since it's been a long time, whipped this little render out just to make sure the guys still worked. For the first time, Cheese Wars is going to be a collaborative effort. We've got a few people signed up already, but if anyone else is looking for something to do, there's always room for more. We still need some modeling and texturing done, mainly props, but the Alien is going to need a makeover too. And you can never have enough animators. Thanks, Gregg
