Hello- While reading the LiteFace tutorial I noticed a picture of a head model which is being used to illustrate the tutorial. Attached is the picture of the model. Is that face model available anywhere? I am having a little bit of trouble trying to understand where the placement of the bones are around the lip area.. Many thanks for any info... Tom

Here is a dog model I have been working on. I think he's done but any suggestions for improvement are welcome. I designed him for the mascot competition so I wanna make him really good. found a floor plan on internet for castle simplified it a little in PS setup work path and exported as ai used ai wizard to import ai extruded twice (used sweeper but unnecessary) add image to group (whole castle) instant castle fast shot so scroll it manually this is just a rough idea probably would work better is done by sections castle.mov

Ok, This was my entry: I made it from Floor Plans that I found on the web. Had I known there would be so many great entries, I'd have used some more elaborate plans, but then I probably wouldn't have had time to finish. Here is the model with no textures, just AO: Nearly all the textures came from CGTextures.com (I believe I used 5 images total). The background image is a photo I took here in the Hudson Valley. I had planned to do some landscaping with plants, but something went wrong somehow with the choreography file, and Cookie cuts wouldn't render right. Any suggestions on how to get this horizontal wavey look out of this model? Besides starting over...LOL.... its not much of a wavey look just enough to bother me. The Bottom is worse. Tried, porcelain..helps a little would like more Adj. Bias seems would take forever Tried the smooth plugin..but Im not getting results I want, File included if ya want to take a peek.. Hey hashers, Like the announcer in the show says "Voltron was needed once more..." so I had to model him. I learned so much about mechanical modelling by tackling this. Now I've got to learn organic modelling and I'll feel like I know what I'm doing. I had to keep it quiet for the last few weeks since he was in the Image Contest. I think it took me about 20 hours or so, working a little bit each night over a week. Each Lion has separate models for their own legs so the lions can easily come apart and stand on their own. Here is my victorian house. I never would have started this if I knew how much work all the little peices of trim would be. It is still very much a WIP, but of course C&C would be great. The bottom floor is mostly done, but the upper floor and tower are barely begun. I am using a tune render beacuse it shows more of the detail before I texture and color. oh and the colors are just placeholders

Hi all Just thought Id show you the amplifier I made for my virtual band.. any comments will be appreciated? I am struggling to get the knobs to show up, played around with the surfaces diffuse falloff and specular size but nothing seems to work they just look like black dots,,,, acually they are modeled knobs like on a real amp,, the power light seemed to come out nicely though,, Leo [attachmentid=18852][attachmentid=18854]

I'm trying to decal a movie or image sequence onto a laptop screen and it's just misbehaving like crazy. I'm on v13q. I've done this before and though it took some trial and error I did get it to work. But that was a few years ago. I've tried a QT movie and I couldn't get it off the first frame. I'm trying a sequence of .tga files but I got an error message, though it seems to be behaving otherwise. Any help, or anyone pointing me to a help file or thread would be much appreciated! Gerry

Ack...I did something a bit too quickly. When opening a project, I was prompted to click on where a model was located. I accidentally clicked on another model by mistake. I quickly exited out of loading the file. However, when I go to open the file now, it doesn't prompt me for the model again. I have now opened the project. Now, it would be simple if my project did not have any animation keyframes for the model that is supposed to be there in the first place. The model I accidentally imported in its place, is associated with the animated keyframes (both models are human bipeds and rigged exactly the same). Well, it's probably way overdue that I post a WIP thread on this project, so here's what I've got so far: This is the body for one of the two characters. Today I'll be working on modeling the head, texturing and rigging him. The other character is going to be cloned from this completed model. I'll need to make some minor changes to differentiate the two, like the other character will have longer sleeves, a thinner build, some minor tweaks to the face, and different hair/facial hair. But for all intents and purposes, the brunt of the work is going to be done on this character (Rigging, facial setup, etc) and the other character will just be a duplicate. Se…

As it was pointed out displacement materials were not available earlier this is a $1.98 ocean i created using a material as a displacement map and changing colors to also make it a color map then animating both in the chor its a bit too quick but a only gave myself a few minutes so only 1 render I'll post the project file the next post Tinkering Gnome ocean.mov

Started on a new movie based on Shadowrun the RPG. So far I have 2 other people helping me with this project. I'm doing all the modeling and choreography. I need someone who can do textures and materials and to help with the renderings. My script writter has done an excellent job coming up with a good plot and characters. Tried another reflective idea this with two layers and a rotating sphere(peaked) with one light it only rotates a little since the render time and size would not allow more [attachmentid=11067] this used the fire tgas posted in another area on two layers and one larger sphere with all points peaked and made reflective reflect1.mov

Hello - 2-3 weeks back I posted a pic I had a caricature artist draw at Universal Studios http://www.hash.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=33132 because I wanted to see how well it would work as a rotoscope for a character... using it worked out pretty good.
