Hi again everybody: Here's my attempt at modeling a superheroe. I need some help with the surfacing of the face. I've been hearing Collin (modeller extraordinaire), talking about a "porcelain" material. Where can I get this? Of course, c and c's welcomed.

Hi I posted this in the game development forum, but A few people thought it fit better here. We have completed a game called Super Slam Ball, you can download a demo here Super Slam Ball Demo Also visit the web site at Super Slam Ball web site from there you can see screen shots, a movie trailer, and also find other info, as well as the demo. The game was modeled and all textures were prelit using A:M. It is a revamped version of an old arcade classic. Try the Demo and see what you think. In the full version there are five levels, plus a hidden bonus level, 16 unique balls, with the ability to jump, and steer, plus one hidden bonus ball. There are also three diff…

Superman takes on the size changing Super Mega Fox. The Superman model was from the Extras DVD. I originally was going to render this in toon style but I thought it turned out rather well here. I'm still looking for someone to play the voice of the fox charecter but somehow I haven't found the right person to do that yet. Super_VS.wmv

I don't know if it's really a Showcase piece, but after finishing the modeling and getting the bones setup and the Smart Skin, I needed to do a simple pose to see how everything is working...so maybe a step up from a WIP? Well, here it is: Rendered in A:M v13f, AO turned on with one Key light and Sky Textured sphere, as an OpenEXR and then motion-blurred in Adobe Photoshop. Size was originally 1400 X 2000 but was cropped in Photoshop. Render time was around 2.5 hours on my Mobile P4 with 2GB RAM. - pjc

Hey everyone...long time no pictures. I've been working on a new Superman model and it's far enough along to start sharing. This model started life as Jim Talbot's Superman model from the "Kingdom Come" series that he gave away years ago to the 3D comic collective website. Jim did such an awesome job I decided to use his model as a base for a "regular" version of the character. I still have LOTS of work to do, but I'm liking the progress so far. So, Jim, thanks for making such a cool model, I hope you don't mind my "Hashtic Surgery". Jim's is on the left, mine is on the right. Rendered AO in v13. BIG version of PJC SUPES Comments…

does anyone know of a good tutorial on using surface constraints. There is an expanation of how surface constraint are supposed to work in the AM help. I have looked at the explantion many times to see if I am missing anything and I still cant bring myself to experiment with the function. It is not clear in the example if the object I am constraining to a surface has any constrants on it too. Surface normals are mentioned but that is as far as it goes. It would be nice to make a chory action with a car driving over bump ground,

tried out surface constraint ..still have to figure out a few things but it works great [attachmentid=12630] this was done by just moving aiming bone in an action ...added some dynamic constraints to get some secondary action...just a bit too fast..but follows the surface here's the project [attachmentid=12632] wireframe view [attachmentid=12633] surface.mov surf.zip surf2.mov

Hello everyone. Someone in HASH community chat asked me about a constraint system to allow both suspension and steering for an automotive project. I'm sorry but Hash Chat went down for me and I lost the connection. And I'm embarrassed to admit that I didn't really pay attention as to who it was that was asking. Anyhow, here is the project if anyone might need something like this. Zipped Project (bones only) Hope this helps someone

Are there any SynthEyes users out there in NTSC land who are successfully exporting drop-frame camera tracks to A:M? I found it after successfully tracking a NASA animation of a flyover of the Victoria Crater on Mars (where the "Opportunity" rover is doing some digging). It seems that for drop frame footage, the frame times in the export from SE are all screwed up. It just seems odd that SE is the recommended tracker for A:M, and yet this doesn't appear to have been noticed. (I got into tracking after getting PF Hoe on the cover of Digit Magazine - it was OK I suppose, but SE is far more powerful. The footage above was a problem piece on their support forum…

I'm done with my SW movie, it's at a little over 11 minutes long. I still have to do all the voices and music, touch up scenes that don't look good and all that. The movie is is based on immortals like in Highlander, but in the Star Wars universe. I created a new trailer for the Star Wars short. Trailer It's MPG and is a little over 15 MB. It has some extra scenes and FX from the last trailer. I added SW music just so there is something until I create and add in my own. I may need some voices for charctors, most likely voice overs and those in helmets. I'll post if I do. Dan

These are shots from the film actually, but with a very temporary proxy background. The flat color rendering technique behaves very well when animated. You do have to be carefull where the light is placed so that the character will pick up a turned edge without any obvious shading, though. http://www.anzovin.com/swash1.mov http://www.anzovin.com/swash2.mov --Raf

My path seems to have no problems, but my sweep object is causing me fits. I remember there are some objects that sweeper does not like, but I cannot remember what exactly causes sweeper to crash AM? A simple four point patch sweeps fine, but an extruded box is crashing AM every time. I need to use sweeper to dublicate a simple box around an irregular path but so far I only get crashes, even when I delete the box and make a new one, it still crashes. Edit: Well, I narrowed the #001 exception down to the option of using regular steps. When I don't use regular steps, it duplicates fine along the path, otherwise it crashes the program. Is this a bug I should repor…

Did a simple sweeper test using a path, an outline to sweep and a model to duplicate [attachmentid=19655] swept the outline E shape then duplicated the screw 15 times and got this [attachmentid=19656] since all the screws were one sweeper object easy to color and the same for the outlined shape project v13e [attachmentid=19657] look at the placement of the swept objects...it does not matter where the path is but swept object will treat it as the base relating to 0,0,0 testsweep.zip

I will post more info after I start making more progress. For now this is what I get when I fool around with the sweeper plugin after 5minutes of modeling, SSS, and AO. I recommend opening this image in Photoshop and viewing at 100%. There is some fine texture like detail generated by SSS that can only be seen at full res. On a side note I got that 010 error and it took raising the values in SSS to work around it. www.hdjibguy.com

Hello Fellow-Hashers! Well, this is the first time I posted anything really, so if I do something stupid don't tell me, just pretend like I know what I'm doing. Anyway, I've been working on this for the last few days. It's based on a Hildebrandt painting. I did some post work in photoshop but it's mostly A:M. You can tear it apart if you need to. Enjoy!

Well, im back to teaching Martial arts and personal training. My master is putting together a fight choreography scene for a internet movie, and I though I take the time to mess with Hash again. See if I can put together a fight scene in 3D. So I still need more time to polish the model and tweak the bump map on the torso. More nurnnys on the sword. Been awhile, and rehashing the things I know about hash. So this is my spare model that I am redoing, I have another I want to use, but using this one to figure my way around. If anyone remember my old project will remember Erica, I haven't given her new hair yet, thats next.

I've been working on this model off and on for the last few years, and I've finally finished re-rigging and texturing it. It'll be for use in a different context in the end, but I thought I would put it into a little test animation for fun. So here is my very partial homage to Jurassic Park: http://www.dinocarl.com/trexescape.mov

Hey all. I finished this T-shirt design for the Genre Evolution Project's research team. The colors and all are much higher definition than we'll need, I'm sure, but this render is a real beaut and will serve as a guide. I was so satisfied with what A:M did in the process that I wanted to post it here. Post-work done in Photoshop and Fireworks. GENRE! 2003-2004 Team Thanks for looking. (If you are interested in the project, the site is: here. I won't plug it here, but suffice to say, we study the humanities by researching pulp science fiction.)
