Trying to build a fedora, felt, from the "dapper" '50's. Here's a screen cap of it with A:M's Chor standard lighting. The bow on the left isn't done yet, so this shot hides that fact. porcelain applied to smooth it out, A tiny bit of surface roughness. No decals or maps as yet. comments appreciated. Project : Zero (link) So, early in 2005 I started this project and never really got around to telling anyone about it (I don't think). My bread and butter job is it, to edit and layout magazinea about cheats for computer games. While most of this work is basicali quite boring, i get for each mag the chance, to produce on full page illustration. Most of the time i have to do it quickly because i am most of the time on a tight schedule. So i put them pieces together and look what i can get out of the leftovers. This one on these pictures, the latest one, which turned out to be quite nice, in my opinion. It is made out of a couple of dungeon wall and floor pieces, two root modells, a couple of DT-Textures, one particle system and a modifyed bloom post effect. Hope you like it! Cheers Heiner

i was online talking to my friend who a really good 3d artist and he uses 3d studio max i was telling him about hash and he was just thinking that it could never be as good as 3ds max so he showed me a picture of a model he made from the game gunbound this guy [attachmentid=13356] i bet him i could make the same guy in 1 hour with almost the same textures and colors i think i proved my point [attachmentid=13357] he owes me a pizza now

I don't know how many renders I've made of this scene and I just noticed that the grass on the right doesn't fill the frame. Oh well, one more thing to work on. Other things: I think larger sprites would make the mist look better. The blue rock she's honding should be glowing and shiney. Guess I forgot to turn Glow on. The land in the back needs something to establish how far away it is. Like a fence or signs or something. I need to find a solution to her hair. Now a hair material's length is driven by a BW targa but, as seen on her forehead, doesn't disappear where I expected it to. Maybe I'll put the hair material on a separate mesh underneath…

I was just playing with some of the new features and did this project Imported a model and action deleted all the lights in chor in the chor properties turned on IBL tried a quick render got interesting result did simple animation with first have just staight then the second half turned on toon render both look similar but then these are all default settings ( pattern on ground from material ) scroll to see toon lines on second half [attachmentid=13917] project file ..model from extra cd look there for one decal [attachmentid=13918] ibl.mov ibl.zip

Wow, it seems a loooong time since I last posted! Here is a young girl character I've nearly finished for our pilot film - yes, it's still going ahead I've managed to get everybody together in one place to record the voice track next week (please!!) and most of the modelling is now finished. I've been working on this for a few days in spare moments. Thanks to Agep for his help with the modeling. I've got the front part of the bike almost finished, so I thought I'd post some pics: [attachmentid=14390] I'm trying to use the image on the cover of the DVD case as my main reference. I wish I knew how to take screencaps off of the dvd to use for other views. I have some views of the McFarlane model, but it isn't exactly accurate, and its scale is too small compared to the Kaneda figure, so I'm trying not to rely on those too much. This is going on my modeling reel, so feel free to crit the crap out of it.

I just rendered my mini movie that is due tonight and keep getting seemingly random black renders on one character. There are about 5 bad renders in a 960 frame movie. Attached is a picture of one part of a rendered frame and the setting for that frame. I change them, but they change back to nan% when I render. Is there a way to change all of the settings at once for a particular property? I'm on a Mac, running 11.1 (latest version). [attachmentid=14915] [attachmentid=14916]

Hello everyone. This is a fight scene that I'm working on for my demo reel. It's pretty short at the moment, but I'll do more as I'm able. I'm thinking that this sort of style would be good for getting in with a gaming company, but I'm not sure how to overcome the software barrier, as I am a long time Hash user, and don't really know other programs. This is based on sketches my 15 year old couzin drew, she's an insane 2d artist at this age already, i'm thinking she'll be working in the industry in no time. I'm doing this model to try and show her she should get AM and turn her characters into 3D. He's still in progress of course but comments and crits are welcome. Eventually he'll get a nice big blade, and most likely a gun of some sort as well. I think i'm happiest with his gloves as it was rather complex to place the gaps into them. Hello everone does anyone have any idea what happed to shaun freeman. The first and last I heard of shaun was form the hash demo sync he made for AM. His demo is the best and most realistic I have ever seen. But his Demo act has no dope sheet for the words. So I am guessing he must have used some other program to do the lip sync. His poses for the Lips and mouth have noe Phoneme, Mind you I think the dictionary needs to be edited. The C D G N R S TH Y Z dont real make the same lip poses nor dose M P B. I guess shaun realised this and has found some t other way to do the lip sync. I have re worked his modle to use the phonemes that hash uses but the effect is n…

Here is an acoustic guitar that i have started modeling and getting some of the decaling, texturing done out of the way. Once I build the neck, I am curious on how to make the strings twang when I animate it , when the strings are strummed. If anyone can shed light on the subject please let me know, I have an idea, but whethere to use dynamcis or just completely hand animate it all is gonna be a pain in the butt. I have two decals on the model, one I had for the decorative ring around the pickup, When I put the wood decal on, it put itself over it, is there any way possible in order to bring the decorative ring in front , on top ? I am at the end of my ideas. I have made a mov file in after effects of letters being written out. I was going to animate the pencil chracter to follow the mov file in rotoscope to get the action and AM allows the rotoscope to be rendered as well. So I have tried for four days to get this to work without success. It appears to be working in the chor or action but when rendered the rotoscope is not in the correct location and it plays from the beginning of the animation even though it has been key frame to start and end at certain location. So does anybody have a thought of how to follow the script I created in after effects or is there another way to create the…

This is a project I'm working on... http://www.expropaganda.se/Animations/Hit_...Can_Trailer.mov I plan to animate the whole fight, and hopefully add a room for them to fight in. I choose this approach, because I'm doing this as an animation exercise for myself, and thought that if I add the room from the start, I might get bogged done in details... Hi all I have received so many helpful tips and things from you guys. now I think its time for me to give something back. its a model of a strutt I made with sweeper for the stage of my virtual band, here's a pic [attachmentid=19699] and heres the model, I havn't textured it, I just set the color to light grey, you can change it any way you like. I don't often bring images/animation out of the New Users Forum but from time to time someone posts something that I can only call inspirational. This is definitely the case with Glen Clarkson's 'Cavalcade of Rabbits'. Not only did it make me laugh but it was presented in such an innovative way, all while demonstrating the basic principles of Exercise 4: 'Move It', that I felt it needed a little promotion. im working on this little guy...he started as a doodle and i want to keep him as a kind of cartoony guy so i drew the outline then made the mouth and eyes as splines rather than decals so i could move them around. i made them render as lines and black then gave them bones. i made a simple animation where he waves and set it at cartoon render. now its done and i cant see the eyes, and changing his expression is a pain. does anyone have a solution for me?
