When I Copy and Paste between two documents [like between Model#3 and Model#7, but both in the same .prj] I usually get three copies stacked on each other. Any clues as to why that happens? Thanks.

Alright in the past 2 days i have modeled this. i think i spent more time then i should have. but it doesnt matter cause i like how it turned out. but i think it could be better if i just knew how to make better lighting. i dont know though. so if you have any tips about lighting. how i should light it up. or any things you think should be changed its all being taken. i wanna know what yall think.. my intentions are to enter it in the heros image contest when the time comes. i expected it to take longer then it did.

Hi Folks! After some time off, and some projects that we've done with other software packages, we finally did a project with A:M again. It's the return of the christmas rabbit! Hi - finished up 2 more teeth animations for the dentist - these two had more modeling involved, so they were more fun to do. They are located on my site in the lower middle section "3D Flash Demonstrations" - #2 and #3 are the new ones. The "non surgical tooth advancement" one was pretty challenging getting all the metal tooth components to work properly and look good. The "porcelain onlay" one came out pretty cool - I had to model the machine used to grind down the onlay and show it grinding it down and appear as if water was spraying on the inside - and use different color lights for the different stages. Just an image I've been working on with MJL. Somehow, I don't think I would win against this lady The Nimmee Aimee model was modeled by Jim Talbot for our very own "Tin Woodman of Oz" movie. I made a few adjustments, but it is still Nimmee. edit: I believe she was rigged by mtpeak2 and possibly textured by NancyGormezano, but I'm not sure about that. Anyway, Nimmee was truly a community effort.

I've had A.M. now for 3 weeks. Watching and reading tutorials here at the forums as helped me to better understand spline/patch modeling. Thanks all! I come from box polygon modeling before getting A.M. The biggest lesson I learned so far is spline continuity. Then the limited but usefull use of 5 point patches (knowing when to use them or not) and hooks. I still have got lots to learn but here is the wip so far. The creature is not tweaked on his anatomy, no reference used, just started at the feet and worked up from there to help learn spline modeling. Oh yeah, no head yet LOL.

I have a simple practice animation using Shaggy. He has about seven seconds of movement keyed in. For a while, the animation would play just fine. [in the Choreo. window/Skeletal Mode]. Suddenly, it has locked itself at 04:08. I can't move the slider under the Choreography, or, it just bounces back to 04:08. If I enter the numbers 00:00:00 and hit 'play', it jumps to 04:08. I've set the Choreography length in Properties. I've set the length at the top of the Project Workspace, and I've set the length of the blue bar in Choreography. Still, something is not right. I have a second Choreography going with Shaggy, and there's no problem.

I wanted to know if there is a way to change the two colors of the timeline in project workspace. There is the white and off-white making it hard to tell the limitations of the choreography. It is difficult to tell the difference.

FINALLY I started a new semi-time taking project rather than a bunch of one hour mini projects . Here are some sneek peeks of it: No particles and water (9 min @ 3000x1500) Particles on no reflections (Kill render time) Everything on(Raytraced took 1hour45min for this half of the image so I downcroped it to look nice) I've been working on it for about a day now. The grass is just a simple imageplane on a hair emitter same with the branches and leafs in the trees. The atmosphere is a skydome with global lighting at 50% and a sun with shadows at 50%. Here's a preliminary test of one segment of the Christmas animation I'll be doing for the company where I work. This bit will come at the very end but I wanted to get it done early to make sure it would work. This is the material that's being interfered with by the model surface settings that I mentioned in the A:M v15 forum. the colors as they show here aren't the way they're supposed to look. This is the intro to a home movie I am sending to my girlfriend currently deployed in Iraq. The movie is a compilation of greetings from friends and family, updates on news from the home front (not really important here). The mood I was after for the intro was the surreal ambiance of fall foliage in dawn light. We are from Colorado so of course fall foliage means, for the most part, Aspen trees. The under-the-bridge is sort of her joke, claiming that I would probably spend her year away sitting under a bridge somewhere drinking whiskey. As far as the joke goes, I am sure she will get it. Hello again guys! i havent been on for a while due to life... as it is always (Now have a son ) but ive been still hammering at the AM as much as i can. I 've been looking at some green screen tutorial on youtube and I thought I animation Gala doing the can can dance on my table. I done a short gala cancan dance and put the whole brackground in green then once the animation is done rendering I open made a short video clip of my table and exproted them into a chromakey software and this is what I came up with I'm still learning the other programe I was trying to see if this would be better then the motion tracking software. i made an object constrained to a bone, that was in frame zero. on some frame latter i removed the constrain, but the constrain on the object remove at frame zero. what can i do so that my object stay constrain till the frame i want it to be constrained to before removing the constrain.

Hello well I'm back after another PC crashed I need to upgrade anyway and all so I was messing around with the ghost hunting stuff I've gotten some weird evp's (electronic voice phanamena). Any way I working on a project was wornding can this be done I wanna scare the crap out of some of my family members. The I deal is to have a figure like shadow climbing up the wall going to the cealing and going down into that person who's sitting in the chair and play it back for them I'll tell them I got on the pc and show um. My son and I were out driving last weekend, and we saw an Audi R8. It is a very sporty looking little car and thought I would try modelling it. I have been so busy with renovations and work, I haven't had time for anything else, and thought this would be good to keep me from getting too rusty. It is coming up to year end at work, and things are going to be crazy until after tax time next year (I support the Payroll Department for the City of London). Hello well her a project I'm working on I'm testing out a software that hayvern sent the link to it call Pepakura. I took the skull head from Eugene and exprot the file as a 3ds file save it as skull head. Once the model is save as a 3ds file then open your Pepakura 3 Go to file skull head open it pepakura 3 and this is what you get Once the your 3d model is Pepakura hit the unfold button but first uncheck auto you can manual scale the size of the model its in MM though they got conversion charts online Here what it looks like unfolded. you can see that a lot of parts to be cut out of paper. Hashers, Here is my latest non mechanical model. used 3D painter for the decals for hair color, still trying to get a handle of this organic? modeling. Still have more hair grooming to do a touch up or two on the decals, and to texture the antlers. more work on the geometry proportions. More pics to come as model progresses. (Note: I used the unicorn model from the Extras DVD as a starting point, so much thanks to Eric Lindstrom, hope I got that right)

I started over last month on a model that I started in June of last year. I quit working on it in July of 2007 but recently I wanted to create a small animation and decided he would be the star. So I started rigging the character with the poseable rig and it has taken me three tries to figure out the model itself was the problem. So I rebuilt the chest and shoulders and then worked on the head, reduced splines and now I am asking for critiques once again on the look. Steve

I've been working on this off and on for a while, a few hours making weeks letting it sit around, and really want it to look good. It is a Temple like design loosely based on Greek/Roman style. Will be made of marble. However my materials turn out too unrealistic and I need some help. Also in its final form it will be atop a hill/mountain to and I don't know if it would look better new or ruinous. So basically any help would be nice.

Hey- I've been really busy lately... Recent animation for a local Tire chain that sponsors the 'Grand Rapids (MI) Griffins' minor league hockey team. The animation will run on the scoreboard at center ice during intermissions. I had always wanted to do one of these types of cartoons, and had fun doing it. I'm always amazed at sporting events how these mindless cartoons get BIG audience response... I hope mine does. Sorry about the big files sizes. Hi friends Here is my current work in progress. Its the Eldar War Walker from Warhammer 40K. I just love the design of the walker since it got both mechanical and organic feel over it. I bought a model of it which I have sent to a good friend of mine who is a warhammer figure painter. At the moment I only got photos of the unbuilt model itself as reference while modeling. I was not able to find any blueprints of the walker. Also, due to limited spare time, the progress is going a little slow. Anyway, here is what I got so far. Let me know what you think
