for those of you how have not read the book there was a poisonous gass called "black smoke" so i'm trying recreate how it was described in the book heres my first attempt [attachmentid=17166] i didn't quite get it the way i wanted its suppose to stay low to the ground and it moves fast so people cant outrun it it is also suppose to come out of a missile from a cannon on the tripod and then come out of the missile but i cant quite seem to get the effect i want black_smoke.zip

I have these 3 newer models: G_Loader Gun/Corridor and this Fence Enclosure. Should I send them for the Extras DVD? Heres an Update. May not seem like much, but the single piece that goes to the Right Angle is detachable to expand the enclosure to any number in length. I also varied the Fence Rails height for more interest. Okay! The guys at Hash Inc. saved my model... but I was in the process of rebuilding anyway. So, here's the progress so far. [attachmentid=15509][attachmentid=15510] 1. The lighting's not right... But I've got to relearn a bit with the switch to v 12 from 11... apparently the lights are brighter now (the render doesn't indicate that until the render is complete and you click in the screen, then it gets washed out. 2. Decaling is accurate and maybe a bit much (higher res than needed). 3. I haven't aged it yet... this is what it looked like new. Hi All, A friend of mine is in need of a modeler to create a sign their company. This is for real and is a paid gig. The job involes taking an illustrator file(post script) and creating a sign model that may be used later to create the vacumme form template. This is just an test in doing photo comp. The clip is inspired by some norwegian tv vignette, where all sorts of objects hovers to create this two. It is however a bit of work behind this, I took approximately 60 images of my livingroom that i stitched together to make an environment map and IBL image. I had to go back to "global color" instead of IBL, since the IBL gave the groundplane an unwanted colorburn. The coin is made by coloring a coin with a felt pen, and the rubbing its surface with some paper to get the patter showing, then I scanned it. scanning the coin without the coloring gave me just the highlights. The scanned image got some ps fixing, and then was used …

We have a case we're working on where bottles inside the vehicle served as a distraction to the driver. My 16 year old son, modeled this bottle. I don't know if there was any fluid in the bottle (although one would think that if it was a distraction it must have). He'll need to figure that part out. Well after a little bit here, a little bit there and over four months later I have more or less finished my latest flick from the Bella Bear Project I have been working on... It still needs some refinement and I have banged my head against the wall a fair few times, especially with particles and volumetric lights but this is as far as I have got - please be kind I couldn't resist showing you what I have been up too... Hi I spent the last few days messing around with froggy wild west shoot out. This is just the humble beginnings. This is nowhere near the final level. The buildings will not be all the same texture and height. They are just there for my basic layout. I have a start on the stable and the general store though. I will need to make tons of props and stuff. My friend jin kazama is going to help me out. I'm gonna spend the rest of the week in torque working on the two game. Hey guys! Here is a character i've been working on the rigging for over the last week for a short film i'm involved in. So these are mainly to test out his skeletal rig (no facial poses yet) The rig I finally settled on uses the TSM2 and wieght mover, with Cog bones for the knees and elbows (Thank you Mike Fitzgerald!) and custom CP wieghting to fix a few other problems. Hello everone does anyone have any idea what happed to shaun freeman. The first and last I heard of shaun was form the hash demo sync he made for AM. His demo is the best and most realistic I have ever seen. But his Demo act has no dope sheet for the words. So I am guessing he must have used some other program to do the lip sync. His poses for the Lips and mouth have noe Phoneme, Mind you I think the dictionary needs to be edited. The C D G N R S TH Y Z dont real make the same lip poses nor dose M P B. I guess shaun realised this and has found some t other way to do the lip sync. I have re worked his modle to use the phonemes that hash uses but the effect is n…

Hi guys - A few yrs ago me and a team was working on a video game for our portfolio.. The game is a first person shooter which did not get of the ground due to some problems with export between different programs amoung other things. But we were able to get some of the models into the engine. I was responsible for the environment and the villans (bad guys) also for texturing the entire game..... I was going through my old stuff and I found some of the old games mods that I modeled in A:M back in 2001.....I thought I would share them with you..... this shot is a basic model render of the mods, the very first concept of the mods.. Started on a new movie based on Shadowrun the RPG. So far I have 2 other people helping me with this project. I'm doing all the modeling and choreography. I need someone who can do textures and materials and to help with the renderings. My script writter has done an excellent job coming up with a good plot and characters. This little problem is proving to be a right headache... Have a look at the frame below and notice the rendering time for the anti-aliasing. Over one hour for pass1 and over two hours for pass2 - this seems rediculous considering the frame before only took 8 minutes! The scene is using particles and volumetric lights but why the sudden jump in render times from one frame to the other???

GAIL is a Spume-bot (sex android) that gains conciousness and uses her "talents" as a spy in the "Jed Lightsear" series that is part of the EVENT HORIZON comic book from MAMTOR press. EVENT HORIZON is a new Heavy Metal type comic that features all sorts of great comic tales. Here is my rendition of GAIL for a pin-up for issue #2 of the series. The model is based on the Lambrina model from the A:M CD (heavily modified) and uses photoreal textures for her skin. this is basically a couple of decals..one for displacement then one for color on a small grid. The other object is a prop from the cd and the sky is a rotoscope from the cd. I am working on a project and decided to create an object in Version 13 beta one. I have created a face and began to work on the mouth portion of the character. I tried to extrude the inner lip and then scale. The extrusion will only scale on one of the axis. If I create a extrsuion outside the character's face the extrusion and scaling will work correctly. Also, after I copy/flipped/attached the face, the mirror mode works only some of the time. I have sent a report on both but wanted to know if anyone had run into this or do I have a setting wrong after installing beta one Steve

I rendered this with multipass (4 passes) with occlusion sampling at 20%. It took 35 minutes to render. I am so grateful to the Hash team for AO. Even teh vegetation looks great. There is room for improvement and I welcome it. Now one thing, I wasn't able to render with pixel displacement and ambient occlusion - the computer memory gets completely consumed and I reported this. What you see here is bump in V13beta but bump in beta looks way better than v12 I think.
