THIS model has been around for a few years now, and due to Tralfaz's recent usage and success with it, I have decided it should be available to all-with a tutorial! Formerly known as 'BensLens'...it was developed by Ben(BenToTheMax) and myself after we discovered that simply widening A:M's camera focal length did not get the effect of a true 'fisheye' lens. The main place you can see its effect is in the lines of your perspective. With the plain A:M camera at a wide focal length the lines will always be straight, whereas with 'fisheye' distortion you get natural lenticular curvature. NOTE: Because it uses refraction upon render...your render times will increase. ALSO…

Now you can make your render tests look like render tests from the 1970's with the famous Utah Teapot. UtahTeapot.zip zip includes optional reflection gradient material and glossy specular material shown above, although the real purpose of the teapot is to serve as a stand in to test almost any material or render problem at all. I did this as an exercise in smoothing awkward 5-pointer topologies with bias adjustments (without porcelain) . It's not 100% but close. Category: Props

There for awhile I was working on an animation but never got around to finishing it, I had to give up on the project due to health reasons, sense I need to stay away from stressful topics like this on was (political) , darn I'll miss "Crossfire". anyway the models I made for it are suppose to be attached to this message, its in zip form and contains a , toaster, loaf of bread ,slice of bread x2, bread plate, butter knife -butter and butter tray, and a wal outlet....Im trying to attach a img file with the models shown but I doubt if it will load .So just some simple little models to help populate a kitchen scene or ..... Various connectors (rivet head, slot head screw, hex head bolt & nut, partially threaded rod) for detailing mechanical models. Most use as few patches as possible, except for a hi-res version of the hex hardware which should withstand arm's length scrutiny. connector_hardware.mdl

Hey Animation Master.., I've been modelling my best friend, uncle Donald. Great to do, there's only that little bit that makes it different from the original. Think that will always be, at least a nice try. donald06.mdl

Hi Fellows, I was reading some old threads and came across this one between Yves and Vern in 2005: http://www.hash.com/forums/index.php?s=&am...st&p=133123 I checked the primitive models that come on the A:M CDs from versions 11 through 14, and the magnitudes of the bevels are all still set to 236, so I went through each primitive model and changed the bevel magnitudes to 360 and re-saved them (this came close to giving me carpal tunnel syndrome but I finished safely!) When rendered, I think the bevels on the updated primitives look smoother, this is most noticable when the camera is up close. Assuming this is a good update, I wanted to…

Just a reminder that my holiday models are still available here. After my hard drive died a few weeks ago, taking all my Christmas animations with it (still working on getting the data recovered so I haven't given up *completely* yet) I needed to help out Randy who is doing the holiday animation this year, because he needed some rotating holiday doodads just like these. So I was able to download my own contributions and have been having fun shining them up, adding details, glossiness and pizzazz. I'm glad I was able to just come here and get em because for the moment they don't exist anywhere else! EDIT: Just for grins I put together a roundtable animation for all …

The Font Wizard is a fantastic tool, but in this case, in order to suit my purpose, it was easier to model the letters than to modify what I got from the FW. Christie_Alphabet.zip

Some of you might have saw one of my models (Tamara) and the very short walking video I made of her. I'm asking a modeling request. If it wouldn't be to much for some one to make high heels and also som feet with toes? In the animation master extra "free be disk" they give away modeled hands and shoes. Mind you, my copy is from 2005 (v12). The extra disk doesn't have free feet or high heel shoes. If I had them, I could tweek them on my model. If you haven't seen one of my models here is the link: http://www.hash.com/forums/index.php?showt...mp;#entry317722

Hey everyone! I thought I would help out a bit here since I just made these for a small project I'm toying around with. A set of basic hex bolt, hex nut and washer. The corresponding Copper (simple) material is included that the models need. The Bolt is rigged so that the thread and shank length can be adjusted with pose sliders on the model in an Action or Choreography. NOTE: The model is of a 1/4 inch bolt. I have made the model TEN times it's actual size so that I could get the detail without accuracy issues at small dimensions. (Floating point precision limitations) A short video showing the Bolt rigging. CopperFasteners.mp4 Zip file with …
