I do not know that it is happening. When I change to viewport view (top, left. rigt..)from camera view (in camera view is Ok), in Choreography , my model is Distorted. I have tried to openGl and direct3d and continues. Some suggestion? Thanks p4 3 Ghz HT 1024 ddr 400 256 Mb fx 5600

A simple task as picking up a telephone receiver is more than meets the eye. OK, so I have Shaggy answering a phone; I wat him to pick up the receiver with the cord attached to it. In order for the cord to follow the receiver, I made the receiver bone a child of the last cord bone so that where ever the receiver goes the rest will follow. However, when i constraint the receiver to Shaggy's hand, the rest of the cord bones do not follow Now if I make the receiver the parent bone, the problem is the cord will move as a solid part of the receiver and you wouldn't have the amiability of the cord. Some of you may have noticed my recent post announcing my 1st animation. The general consensus is that i should render it to quicktime using the sorenson codec. Please note that if I drop sound in A:M the final product is hosed by artifacts (a chirping sound) Is there a sorenson type codec that i can download that is free? Also I need another video editing prog. (free) that can drop sound in b4 quicktime because my current doenst even see quicktime movies. Ugh, the sad fact is the animation isn't worth bothering any of you but If i ever make one that is ill want to post in a user friendly way. Help, Please

i was online talking to my friend who a really good 3d artist and he uses 3d studio max i was telling him about hash and he was just thinking that it could never be as good as 3ds max so he showed me a picture of a model he made from the game gunbound this guy [attachmentid=13356] i bet him i could make the same guy in 1 hour with almost the same textures and colors i think i proved my point [attachmentid=13357] he owes me a pizza now

I don't know how many renders I've made of this scene and I just noticed that the grass on the right doesn't fill the frame. Oh well, one more thing to work on. Other things: I think larger sprites would make the mist look better. The blue rock she's honding should be glowing and shiney. Guess I forgot to turn Glow on. The land in the back needs something to establish how far away it is. Like a fence or signs or something. I need to find a solution to her hair. Now a hair material's length is driven by a BW targa but, as seen on her forehead, doesn't disappear where I expected it to. Maybe I'll put the hair material on a separate mesh underneath…

I have the new constraint path for the camera made and I have a action made on to the cell doors opening into the main building The action doors are like 13 sec and the camera path is like 1:18 minutes how can I make the camera movie after the cell doors open in the main office I need it camera to pause for like 13 sec ?

Walking a "Tightrope" was the topic this week. But my guy ended up looking more like he's waiting for some clown on a trapeze to take him out. See it on my showdown page (QT 95K Sorenson3) My "plan" was to break up the walking action with these "unbalanced" poses, but I never got them to work together and in hindsight, that was too much of a "make animation" solution and not enough of a "character animation" solution.

My son and I were out driving last weekend, and we saw an Audi R8. It is a very sporty looking little car and thought I would try modelling it. I have been so busy with renovations and work, I haven't had time for anything else, and thought this would be good to keep me from getting too rusty. It is coming up to year end at work, and things are going to be crazy until after tax time next year (I support the Payroll Department for the City of London). The other projects I had on the go, will have to wait until I can dedicate more time to them. Anyway, here is the start of the Audi R8. As always, C&C always welcome... Al

Got this idea after watch a commecial where bubbles with people fall then the people continue doing something. Thought it might be cool to have a ball or frisbee shape sail through the air and morph into something else with color and shape changes. I am working on a possible mini movie contest entry. The action takes place in a baseball game. I am attaching a short clip showing a possible opening shot where the camera flies in to center on the pitcher. I am also attaching a larger still that shows the lighting in better resolution. I am looking for comments and critiques on the set and the lighting. The characters are not posed in anyway other than a pose that is not the standard T pose. When the camera zooms in the pitcher is very likely to be in a different pose and there will be more players on the field. I was convinced by a friend to start a Blog. Despite less-than-riotous enthusiasm on my part, he pressed on, built it, and posted a few animations. It was great! I've been meaning [for years] to update my website. [Who hasn't?] This was so painless. And the blog will take file sizes 'way beyond what I can e-mail to friends. So here's my first public posting. A Santos-Dumont Airship No.6 is rendered over several views of the Eiffel Tower, giving the appearence [with only a mild suspension of disbelief] of circumnavigating. I am working on the quarter animation contest and I thought, (silly me) there was a homer simpson fat man on the CD, but there is not. Also I have asked this to Hash on the use, using the models on the cd, I have yet to find any of the females that are expression ready. Am I looking in the wrong area? Some guidance please on a female with facial expressions and am I crazy about the fat man model?

Rodney I took Thom gave him poses with percentage slider. Then in action had expression drive the pose slider. Here is the result. I am starting a new project. I have modeled an easel and wanted to place a light at the top. I have model a glass canopy on the light and have placed a light / bulb in the canopy. I have a couple of questions. I want the canopy to glow from the light / bulb. How do I do this? I want the bulb to mimic a real bulb and shine downward as a result of the canopy. (couldn't think of a good 3 or 4 word description.) I've got an animation three seconds long. The turret from one of the armored cars bounces and rattles down the tunnel and comes to a stop at the three second mark. [make a keyframe] Then it sits there for five more seconds. [make a keyframe at 8 sec.] But when I render it out, it takes the three sec. segment and stretches it to the full eight. What's going wrong?

I'm working on a QT virtual river tour that will be part of a world wide river resource website. The idea is to document your river any way you like, using QTVR. I chose the Capilano River in North Vancouver, Canada. I'm posting this here, for crits, because I have'nt yet found a good place to get crits from the VR folks. If anyone out there who is a rigging guru wants to give me some pointers on what I have done wrong with this guy, I am ready to hear some suggestions. I used to 2001 skeleton included on the CD and rigged him according to the instructions. The trouble is he is acting peculiar when I apply some of the actions on the CD to test the rig. Is that the actions or my rigging work? His knees act very funny. I also think my hand rig is screwed up. The thumb doesn't curl. Anyone who wants to look at Gnosh can feel free. So, out of both a personal desire to a 6x6 ATV (c'mon, we all want a Banana Buggy!), and needing one for a client's website (they sell these, but the manufacturer has no 3D models of these), I decided to give it a whack in AM. Still need to add details (pedal, controls, seat, headlights and taillights, gas cap, gauges, rollbar-c'mon sweeper for Mac!), but thought I'd post what I have so far. Comments, crits welcome. Greg

Hiya everybody. Here's a peek at my first A:M character. He's still *very* in-progress. This is just a copy-flip-attach of what I have, so far. Still needs decent eyes, body textures, possibly some fur, as well. What I'd really like to do, is shoot for the sort of look that "Father of the pride" has (if anyone has seen this new NBC show) But so far I havn't found any settings for the fur material that look right. I'm probably going to hold off rigging him until the new Setup Machine 2 comes out, since that should (theoretically) make the job easier. Making this guy has been an uphill battle, of not just coming to terms with the problems of spline …

Hello folk - I'm trying to put together a simple ball exercise. I've constrained my ball to a path, dropped on an action, rendered and ... ewww. It appears that each time my ball squashes and stretches it is fouling the render. Please see attached. Any idea what may be causing this? I've tried this in a couple of different chor's and same result. I'm using ver 10.5r. Thanks for any help. ..d Lesson1_Dtest.mov
