I've been messing with the 'steam' volumetric effect in a choreography and last night saved the attached project with all the settings working as I intended. When I opened the project after restarting this morning, the settings on both the steam effects and the camera were wacky. What happened? I'm using A:M v.13t in Mac OS 10.4.8. CLOUDS_Brighter.prj

I wanted to know if there is a way to change the two colors of the timeline in project workspace. There is the white and off-white making it hard to tell the limitations of the choreography. It is difficult to tell the difference.

I am using volumetrics in my chor (dust, mist, steam) in A:M 12.0n. My dust volumetric is too small and no matter how I try to make it bigger to fit the scene....nada! Stays small. I tried to make my dust volumetric larger by scaling it and by fiddling with the falloff and width softness and more. My dust just wouldn't render any larger. I'm kinda stuck, so help would be GREATLY appreciated. Pleeeeeze.

Hey guys....this is a dull model so far since it's mainly for practicing connecting (nose)...I have a problem with porcelain...I reverse all the normals I need to but still there are those blackened patches that really annoy me

After doing the 2001 slit-scan project (https://forums.hash.com/topic/53303-2001-slit-scan-effects-simulated-in-am-with-mufoof/) using resurrected 2001 artwork (https://youtu.be/dujQGB-2EXw), I wanted to try some other graphics. The Mandelbrot Set is a wonderful source of interesting imagery. My college roommate, Mike Segor, who also went to that 1968 showing of 2001, had sent me some Mandelbrot work. Grist for the mill. He also contributed music for the final movie. I just made another model for fun and am having a problem with heirchy (or however you spell it) The pics are posted below of the bone's points and the actual PWS display....My problem is I want to create a bone that makes both the eye and the thigh move forward, the the end point is facing down, so how would I do this? I know what you're thinking. Use fall off..for some reason, even if I hide everything but the eye, the fall off still effects the leg a bit..So, in conclusion, I want the "thigh" bone to control the eye and the thigh, along with the eye control the eye, lol EDIT: The leg isn't connected to the eye, just so you know

My brother and I have started to get tired of starting projects and not finishing them soo, we've decided to do something that is as simple as possible (asap ahaha). We got the idea from super mario brothers and also the other mario movie weve seen in progress on the forum except the main characters are the goombas. Hopefully this will be a learning experience with some effects and basic animating and modeling. First clip is a 360 of the goomba and the second is a cannon effect i've been working on. If you create an action for a model in one project and then in another project with the same model the action should be able to work in that new project. Right. It didn't want to work in the new project is there a reason for this or does the program not allow it.

Anybody know why this is rendering the way it is? I am just trying to render out a wireframe version of a football stadium I built and it has started looking all weird. I rendered one out like a day ago at 320x240 and it looked fine...now I'm not sure what the problem is. Any ideas? Edit: I just tried rendering it out again at 320x240 and it seems to work fine. It is just when I try a larger resolution (D1, DV etc.) that I get the weirdness in the rendering artifacts... Does this help? I am trying to get it rendered out today for a job so any help is appreciated! :-)

Hi All, A friend of mine is in need of a modeler to create a sign their company. This is for real and is a paid gig. The job involes taking an illustrator file(post script) and creating a sign model that may be used later to create the vacumme form template. In the short term the model needs to be created and movies rendered of it turning around. THIS MUST BE AN ACCURATE MODEL. I would do this, but I am full up on other modeling gigs. I have been advised to 'consolidate' a .prj with one .mdl and textures. I found it under Projects, but it's greyed out. How to turn it active? As this is a first for me, any additional tips are welcome. Thanks. ps: I've gone into 'My Controls' in an attempt to change the name above my avatar to simply KELLEY. The entry under the avatar changed, but not above. Is there a dialog box I've not found?

I added a shrimp to the Fish Animation. [a bit hard to see in this frame, but...] It was hard to align on a Path, so I slaved it to a Null and dragged the Null across the scene. After rendering the scene out, I added six more and translated them all to the same Null. But only the first seems to want to move. For this iteration, I'll add more Nulls, but for the future, can a Null control more than one object?

Ok, I did a pretty good job of attaching the hand, I need to attach the arm now and so I have to make a hole for it. This is my least favorite part as I have a good chance of screwing up the geometry I already have. I have taken 2 screenshots, one for reference of the way the arm is now, and another with blue lines and dots where I think the new splines and cp's should go. a1blobbies.mov Did 100 frames with yellow then red then blue then green color side note as I reported on first alpha only one fluid renders in final render right now I used the tutorial project added the fluid source called "smoke" in the second box and it was the only fluid that rendered in final render even though it shows fluid in quick render and wireframe

Hello, I've never used a boolean cutter before, but wanted to see how they could help me with an effect I wanted to try. I followed the instructions in the downloadable version of the 10.5 manual from hash.com, and according to the manual... I did waht I was supposed to do... so can someone help me on this? I may have missed a step. If you want to take a look at the proj file it's only 19KB in size... I've attached it below. Thanks! P.S. I'm also animating the boolean cutter to move along a path to "scan" across the object in the Chor. I see nothing when I render it all out. booleanslicel.prj

Try a graidient change of a darktree texture from one to another using the Gradient combiner.. Not too exciting The Frog was done from Primitives on the CD .. the action is skating abit but this was to test the change and have a littlle fun If you would like the project posted let me know or I could even post a simple version or does anyone else care? johnl3d mattry.mov

I have a client who insists that I use his obj model for a project and basically what the best approach is, is to model over the obj file using splines. I imported the OBJ file into AM as a prop using Arthur's plugin. Can anyone tell me if there is a way to bring a hash model into an imported obj window or bring the obj file into a hash modeling window? Thanks for any information. Tom
