  1. What didn't work about it? Looks flipped ok to me.
  2. Would this do it? If you use targa in the render options, you get an alpha option. If this is on, the models will be "separatable" from the background color. If you select OpenEXR then there are more options.
  3. If a transparency map crosses a patch, it'll make the rest of it transparent. So, you need to increase the number of patches in your model......or increase the amount of white in the map so that it covers the upper part of the model. This way, AM will know to make the upper part visible.

    AM 2008 rig

The dope sheet creates too much movement. You'll get better results doing it by hand.
  5. Assuming you haven't changed the rig or number of cps, it should work flawlessly..... In the shortcut to the old model in the chor go to the properties window. If you have the new model in the project, you'll be able to select it from the list.

Great! Whatever you got ready. Thanks.

    AM 2008 rig

They wouldn't complain if it had a pre-release warning on it that everything or nothing could change. The best place to test a rig is in the field as was demonstrated with the squetch rig. People want some sort of ownership of it. Right now it's just someone saying "test my rig". Obviously usage as well as installation would be tested. I guess I'll be going TSM2 for now....why spend alot of time on rigging when I'll be changing it later anyway. If you want lots of feedback, my offer remains open.

    AM 2008 rig

What does this involve? If you want feedback, I've already said I've got a character that needs a rig. I'd be willing to test the installation of it on him. Time is running out though.
  9. All the other 3D websites out there and maybe 3D world.
  10. I'm using v15 on Vista 64 right now. I didn't need to do anything to get it working. But maybe setting the compatibility mode in the Master.exe properties to be compatible with XP might do it for you.
  11. That question doesn't make any sense to me. But you can save an action externally.....if that's what you're asking. Have fun with AM!
  12. Oh and another thing I just saw..... At 29sec, there's a camera cut from Granny to the two kids. After the camera cut, a frame jumps back to granny again. Maybe it's intentional, but I don't think so. Also, again, it could be the playback. A similar thing happens on the cut at 26sec.
  13. Any crits I mention would mean re-rendering but they're not important enough to go through all that! I'd seen the animatic several times before, but I still got a rush of emotion when Granny changes. That's powerful stuff. And of course it looks great. I hope you make many more of such quality. I think I'll mention the most important crit I spotted.....at 1:21 sec, Grandad turns and it seems like he pops into the walk. It could be the playback though. Edit: I hope you're going to release this to the "3D media".
  14. I find these settings work quite well.....
  15. Assuming you haven't changed it......SHIFT+3. You can find it in the Tools menu>Customize>Keyboard tab.
  16. Interesting! Are you saving the models as objs? What engine is being used?
  17. You're certainly on the way. Nice work so far. I didn't know of the walker before.
  18. Good test. Looking forward to installing this rig myself. I've got a character waiting.
  19. I just get a 001 error and a close when I try to open the models. The actual models don't have a name in the objects folder. Strange. I can't see anything in the text that might cause it.....maybe it's the hair? What were you doing when this happened? And why haven't you been saving backups?
  20. Your centre line wasn't exactly on the Y axis (look at the properties). The easiest way to do it is to select the centre line, set the pivot X to 0. Then scale in the X to 0. Here it is done. Project3d_Half1.prj
  21. I think you're referring to hooks? I'm pretty sure there's an explanation in the manual but to summarize....... You drag the cp to the spline you want it to terminate at. Line it up about half way along the spline and keep holding down the left mouse button. Still holding down the left mouse button, press the right mouse button. The spline should attach to the other spline without a cp.
  22. Hu hu sniff sob sob snuffle. Too late! Master Chief! You're nearly here a year! You wouldn't converge 10 lines even in a poly app!
  23. I'm not quite sure what you mean. But you have to assign cps to the bones before you do anything. Otherwise, the bone doesn't know which of the model to move. So, you highlight the hand bone in bones mode and select the hand cps. Then in an action/chor, you can rotate the hand bone to make the hand cps rotate with it. I'm sure there's an exercise in the manual that would explain it better.
  24. That's what I was going to suggest. Possibly the easiest way would be to take a still picture of something familiar and display it on your monitor. Then change the monitor settings till it looks like the real thing.
