  1. Very slick Stian! I love the mountain breaking up. Is that done in AM? There are a few niggles in the run cycle (eg lagging of the forearms) and then in a throw like that, your arm tends to straighten a little in the middle of the swing to form a curve. But then he is a robot.

    New Poses

    Press spacebar.

    AM 2008 rig

    He's got to start somewhere.

    AM 2008 rig

Wow. It must be good if it gets Rodney playing around with animation.
  5. It looks like it's breaking into the ground like a weapon. Maybe that's the intended effect.
  6. No. You don't need to delete any of those bones. They aren't the bones that should be animated with.
  7. Did you use the rigger plugin yet? TSM comes with a flipper, builder and rigger functions which you access through the plugins options. You have to put the hxt's into your plugin first though. It's all detailed in the manual....which I'm sure you've studied endlessly. The flipper would have saved you some work already but you may need to re-do it anyway. I'd also advise you move the cps up so the paws are on the XZ azes. Think of that plane as the ground and the Y axis should go through the center of the body. It makes working with the model bone (for walking along path splines) much easier.
  8. Wow. And you're using AM! Inspiring.
  9. You probably need to press the N key with the parent highlighted. That'll bring up the translation manipulator which you can drag to move them all.
  10. That's looking great! He's got alot of character. You're improving fast. You should consider connecting his legs to his body. From what I remember The Setup Machine does characters with four legs and it's now FREE for AM: TSM
  11. Get some reference. A black hole is a rip in space that sucks everything into it (a vent?). Because it's black and so is space, the only way to distinguish it is to show the matter being sucked toward it. The basic structure would be a sort of funnel and for the matter you could use sprites ie particle images.
  12. Pretty cool Stian! Some of the designs look a little odd, but as usual, the modelling in is impeccable. Yeah, I think Thor is also my favourite. I especially like the wear in the texture. The fire effects are great too.....can't wait to see them animated. The rainbow doesn't seem to blend in to the scene as much. Maybe their too saturated. Also, I'm not sure about the red area on the birds. So, is this a paying gig? Or another personal project? I'd never heard of the company before now.
  13. The camera is flying by and this is the only model. So, it's motion blur that's causing it. Either turn off motion blur or turn on multipass to improve the blurring. Either way, you won't get a good look at the dog with the camera going that fast.
  14. AM Paint is a separate program that can provide some of the functionality of Zbrush. But not real time displacement (yet?). AM Paint
  15. Some of the technology Poser uses is impressive, but it's not serious animation software. Are you seeing a pattern here?
  16. Pretty good first effort. I'd advise you to study freely available models to get an idea of spline layout. My input would be the neck area. Typically the neck will be cylindrical (draw a line and lathe it). Then the face is made to fit into that cylinder. You'll need a few spline rings crossing the neck too for better rigging. Obviously that's a basic explanation but you get the idea..
  17. Perhaps you just need to play around with the compatibility options? You can find them if you right click on the program icon>Properties. Also, turn off desktop composition.
  18. Great! Love the inked look.
  19. Thanks for the offer. But I don't have the time right now.
  20. LOL. I'm Irish and I can't understand what MacFlinn is saying. Apart from obvious flaws, the only thing I can suggest is that the Skeleton appears very quickly. It seems like he might need some sort of introduction shot by himself when he appears. But I guess it's not mandatory as I know what's happening without it. Nice work.
  21. Ummm......what door is this? At a guess, you probably need to rotate the bone to make the door behave normally.
  22. Try re-loading the project.....or pressing space bar in the chor.
  23. Absolutely. Open up the pose you want to copy the cp positions off.....making sure it's at 100%. Make a new pose and go into muscle mode. Now in the original pose, select the cps you want to bring into the new pose. Press Control+C to copy. In the new pose, the selected cps should still be highlighted too. Press Control+V to paste and the cps should go to their new position.
  24. Which hooks? Hooks beside the centreline tend to get confused and join to the centreline after a flip. There's no work around for it except to re-do them after.
  25. Ah. The centerline isn't on the y-axis. All cps on the center line must have zero in the y setting. Edit: Correction. The X value should be set to zero.
