  1. If you have vista then do a search for the snipping tool. Very handy and simple.
  2. Kelley, the width of the rim light in the objects folder (which is why the project was needed) is about 1600cm! Five cm is the default. That either tells me that the scale of your models are huge (which could account for slowness?) or you might be changing the settings in the light instances.....which could be why they're not matching. Anyway, here's what I get from dragging in two instances and adjusting the settings in the "main rim light". The volumetrics was already set to ON by you.
  3. This is something I'd like to experiment with. Any chance you can delete all the objects/images in the project and save as the project (after embedding all) and then post it here?
  4. If you change all the settings in the master rim light, then they'll have to be the same. No?
  5. I was thinking that too. I've never seen a Gorilla with a Mohawk but I'd like to.
  6. At a guess..... Those models that are moving. Do they have an action on them? The model may have been moved by the action.....so it's way off it's default model bone. I've had it happen when I didn't combine several actions (in the one model) properly.
  7. Thanks Rodney (and Mark). Of course, Mark is supplying me with great character sketches, so I can't take all the credit. Just wait till you see the next one!
  8. Yep, that is weird. I still think it's graphic card related. Have you the latest AM version? It works here on my machine. Try pressing spacebar to refresh the screen. Maybe that'll show up the red line.
  9. Save the model to your desktop. Zip it and post it on the forum. Then we can tell what's going wrong. It could be a load of things.
  10. With out screen shots, we're really clutching at straws. Or if not that, post the model.
  11. Try right clicking on the AM icon and go to the properties: Compatibility tab Tick "disable desktop composition"
  12. Does the exception have any description? Can you post the model? Is it off the cd or your own?
  13. Are your graphic drivers up to date? Are you using a 64 bit OS?
  14. For some reason, benders backbone rotates his legs too. I don't know if you changed it, but I don't think it should be rigged that way. An easy way (but not ideal) to stop him rotating would be to delete the bone in the chor. Or copy the keyframe at frame 0 to where you do want him to start rotating. I've done this in the attached project Messed_Up_Factory.zip
  15. There's no chor in that project.
  16. I'm getting that too. I think it's related to the alpha channel and how close you're to the decal (closer renders ok). Quick render is worse, but it still does it on render to file. v15e.
  17. I'm going to assume this is a serious question: Press the A key Draw out the spline using the left mouse button.
  18. Great model. You've obviously got some 3D background. Have you splined before?
  19. The black streaks look suspiciously like they are occurring in the hotspot of the light. Do they still appear if you widen/shrink that middle part of the light? Or do you have shadow softness on? PS He's got a tad too many flowers falling off him now. I think they should be subtle.....something to look out for.

What could be easier than copying and pasting the keyframe at frame 0 to frame 24? Simple and elegant.
  21. Aha. It looks like you're getting the hang of this 3D lark. The models look better, better lighting and better camera angles. However, the guy on the right is floating.
  22. Go for it! If it wins, I better be going to the Oscars too!
  23. If you strip down the model to just an arm or something and post the project file here, perhaps someone might be able to tweak something. I'd be interested in having a look anyway.
