  1. Looks interesting. Not much to go on though. Keep us updated. If you expand, you might get some volunteers....if you want any.
  2. Hey, that's pretty good. There are a few forgiveable rough edges (walk cycles for one). But over all it's a very good effort. Not a bad story either.
  3. I agree with Robert. Think of the two closed sides of the cube as continuations of the patches. Nice tuts btw.

Nice gymnastics. I think he needs to straighten out at the top of the twirl (so he's almost horizontal)......and then his feet fall and the rest follows. You could have hours of fun if you reverse the action after.
  5. I love how the cartoon plays itself. It's like reading without having to move your eyes much. I think you should make all the cartoons like that! The banner at the end should be clickable! Nice style and it's good to see you're waiting till you've plenty of content.
  6. Are you using DirectX? Opengl is usually more responsive. Also, if you have a hair material, you might turn it off with Shift+8.
  7. Show wire/spline view and we might be able to help.
  8. Advantages and usage aside, I was referring to him getting excited over some other supporting package and then getting quickly disappointed when he finds out it takes abit more work to get a spline model to work with it.
  9. Good to see you come to your senses. I assume you know AM is spline a based 3D package while others are poly based. And that you know the implications of that.

If this were to become a Hash standard, I'd put another vote in for the hand gizmo. Face controls maybe if it didn't make it too complicated.
  11. It's immaterial now as v8 isn't supported. No (3D) company will support/sell a version of it's software that isn't "active" any more. Hash does fix bugs but perhaps not your bugs. See v15 for evidence of a rock solid version. But the issue isn't the bugs. You wanted your cd replaced. Again.....they don't have the cds to send you. It's not their fault your cd was stolen. You signed up to that risk when you bought it.....and then let your cd out of your sight.
  12. You've got a whole forum of people (and more) that say otherwise. If AM was so bad, why would you care if you got sent another cd or not?
  13. No company would have 7 year old cds lying around. Not possible. It's an unfortunate/unlucky situation, but let's not forget, the bad guy here is the thief.
  14. Nice render! I just saw the mermaid. I think she should be larger than life size.
  15. Excellent combination of talents. You should post more often. I'm sure if you did them over with what you know now, they'd be even better! What software do you use for the music?
  16. That'd done with splines!? The mind boggles. Most excellent. A contest winner.
  17. No problem. I wonder how it would work on a path.....that way he wouldn't need to go in a straight line.
  18. Because you're actually moving the absolute position of the model with the action....normally actions are just for cycles or actions of the body.......you have to compensate the position in the chor. So, using hold interpolation, you'll have to move the model forward in the chor by 6.54' (taken from the pos of the hips in the action at the last frame). Here's three jumps..... 2_jumps.prj
  19. Hey you can model too! Nice character......he looks "harsher" than your avatar image. That belly will be a challenge to rig. I also think the fingers are abit stubby but there's no rule. Though it may be tricky for him to grip. Give him some lip color too! One little crit would be from the side his face looks a little flat. I would make it curve around the side abit more. But it's just a preference thing.
  20. You may have to select the action and increase its repeat option in its properties. If that doesn't do it, I'd need a screenshot.
  21. This is quite an indepth subject that needs knowledge in different areas.....alot of which is in the manual exercises. But to put it briefly: In the timeline you need to click on the "Channel mode" button (see attached image). Then beside your action name, you'll see see a red bar that represents the length, start and end times of your action. From what you say, it seems that the red bar for your action is starting at the wrong time. You'll need to click the red bar and drag it to the time you want it to start.
  22. Oh, you're talking about hiding geometry in the model window. That still doesn't render. But anything hidden in the chor does. I think the H key in the chor was brought in v14 actually, so you probably don't have that. Without that, he'd have to go through all the the "eye icons" to hide the models in the way. That H key in the chor is a great addition.
  23. Incorrect. Both show at render time. Pressing I hides the selected model. Pressing H hides any model not selected. Simple as that.
  24. If you have v13 or over, then you select the character in the chor and press the H key.
  25. Very nice start. Your style is coming through too.
