  1. That old guy has a really distinctive face. I like it. How are the flowers falling off the Plant character done? Hand animated or automated?
  2. Wow. I was just considering this myself. I have a crazy idea for a notebook concept but I've no means of making an actual notebook to get a patent so I thought I'd just you tube it for fun. Nice product idea you have. Good luck with it.
  3. You haven't embedded any of the models in the project but I think the others have the right idea.
  4. I'd point you to the forum search feature in the top right corner, but it doesn't allow for words less than four characters long. Sooooo..... Fog colour is set in the camera. The background colour in there is the fog colour. Then you have to turn on the fog option. In there you'll see some options to alter the fog strength. Nowadays, there's even a realtime representation of the fog to make it easy to see what the render will look like. Easy!
  5. It's easy to miss. You'll find it on page 23.
  6. The "yes" answer sent you back to the drawing board so I thought a "no" answer would save you the trouble.
  7. Great work. Excellent for a first one. Youtube that sucker now! Who knows, you might get it into the top 100 list.
  8. Yeah. New features in 3D software are few and far between now. The time has come to concentrate on spitting out those renders faster.
  9. I got the recipe from working in your chor.
  10. You don't need the wind unless you want.....there to be a wind which blows the snow at an angle. Here's the settings that got fairly good snow for me. You'll need to flip the emitter patch.
  11. No. Older files work in newer versions. Even newer files can work in older versions, but you could lose the features built into the new version.....such as SSS. In saying that, I believe v13 onward files aren't backward compatible with before v12. But your files would work in the 2009 version. Not sure about the dual system, but I think something can be worked out with Hash seeing they're on the same computer. Another computer requires another subscription. Or you could get the cd version. AM doesn't crash much anymore. I don't know how much the cd in the drive had to do with it. But the subscription doesn't require a cd if it's worrying you. AM had multi core functionality in that version, but it's been disabled for the time being till things get worked out. It was causing more problems than it was worth......such as renders taking longer than with a single core or crashes with certain other software installed. It may (must?) be developed in the future to support other areas of the software. But running multiple instances of AM doesn't cause problems and if you've enough ram, it'll speed things up.
  12. Thanks Vern. It's all in the guess really. But do you notice how Vista got blamed for user error? Typical!
  13. Sounds like you have fog turned on in the camera settings. But who knows.
  14. Correct. Though "its" looks strange to me. Maybe the apostrophe should be after the "s"? But go with "its" anyway. I think twenty instead of 20 looks more sophisticated. But that's just me. Sure. Go for it.
  15. Oh no. I wouldn't worry about the hair. It's short enough to think it's being pushed aside. Imagine having collision detection on hair!!! Loooong render times. While stepping through though I did see Santas hands penetrating his hips before he puts them on his hips. But it's fast enough not to notice at normal speed.
  16. Obviously a typo since I spelled it correctly earlier. Fuchur did ask for help.
  17. Here's some suggestions for the english Fuchur. I'll bold the changes: Twenty years of development and animation-experience have made it powerful yet still easy to use. And with it's low price, A:M is affordable to everyone! Create your own stunning 3D-Animations and let your stories come alive! The image on the left _ was created by someone like you! In the next paragraph, you don't really need the hyphens between full feature length. Also, you should have a space between community projects. In this sentence, I would just itallic your for emphasis. "It's all in your hands!" There also needs to be a space between image contests in the last paragrah. Also, it should just be front page image.
  18. Nice follow through Fuchur. The information is concise, helpful and linked. I would also mention somewhere that "For 20 years Animation Master has been used for 3D and we intend to be around for 20+ more years". Or some such information.
  19. LOL Those rescuers are very inquisitive! I like the over head camera angle at the end. Nice work.
  20. Grrr....didn't see this one till now either. I like the first one best. Love the flag waving in the background and that's quite a structure to make out of patches. Well done.
  21. Great work as usual guys. May you keep inspiring us in the future.
  22. If you have stride length on your cycle, it should work by just keying the ease option. It's the "easiest" way to do it. For sliding, I like to make sure the ease keys are peaked. Also, any foot contact on the ground in the cycle should be peaked too.
  23. Yeah, can't see all that much. But what I can looks great! What rig did you use?
  24. Another good one! On his second step, his hips raise up much quicker than on the first. That might make the cycle more obvious when put on a path.
