  1. Where's Mark ? has he given up on us? are U being blocked now? I guess that wasn't too funny....admirable work on the rig, regardless....
  2. This has been a weird thread..... (shaking head in disbelief)
  3. Yep! that has been a problem of mine, "some" threads dont let me reply! but I still read most of them...
  4. I like it a lot!, share the setting / setup? What turbulence did you use?
  5. Man ! excellent start a must follow topic, been a lot of those lately.
  6. I suggest taking a look at a pre existing model and see how the splines lay, and go from there.
  7. Hang in there!, it may seem slow going at first, but this software is much more user friendly than most if not all other 3d programs....
  8. Ditto, to all that has been in reply....Ill always consider myself a newbee.....
  9. Sense this seems to be the only place I can post without getting an error, what would be up with that? I wanted to post in some of the new forums recently started but I get an error page when I click on reply or some of the links. Anyway, I am sure looking forward to all the new forum topics of late, Mike
  10. Gee ,sure looks like a fella I saw down at the white river fireworks display last night, that sort of thing is big with rednecks, ya know ,explosions and the such. Cool idea for a character!!!

  14. John, Yea! I checked out the link to some degree when you posted it, I had thought it was a place for those who wanted to advertise, (the businesses), to look for premade advertising spots, But Ill look it over again, Thanks for the info.. Mike Hey Mike, thanks. I started out in 1987 multi-exposing film on an oxberry. A:M is the best thing that ever happened for my career. The jobs don't come easy, but when it rains-it pours. I posted a cool link in the 'Jobs' forum for anyone interested in getting into they're local TV advertising business, for fun and profit.
  15. Wow! I see you do a lot of commercials ,how did you get started in that line of business? How do you come by your jobs? Cool work your doing, Mike
  16. 3 for hip 2 for mean
  17. Great job !Like the perv I am, makes me want to become a 3D character and meet her in person....
  18. That sure looks nice to me ! thanks for sharing..... what type of project is this, that is if your free to say....
  19. Been slow going, all sorts of troubles in other areas, but I have manage to redo the dust a bit, I have put an emitter under each hoove and it is activated via an action object, emitting when the hoove hits the ground and not when hoove leaves the ground. I have the buffalo on a path comming in from a distance towards the camera, I added some scenery for the halobit. Its a shaded render not final... Kinda hard to keep the path going the way of the hilly ground, that is a curvy path...... Mike Trot_Test_edit.mov
  20. Im using v14 and on some 5 point patches I have problems with grooming, you could try and select the jitter option and see if that helps, are you using multipass?
  21. Well freak me out again John. I felt like that last night at work.....
  22. Thanks for the replys guys, Hey! that rhymed. The emitters, 2 of them are placed under the hooves but not precisely and they have an action applied to them to attempt to come close to matching the leg action. I like the idea about turning them on and off as needed, thanks for the tip...
  23. Thank you, the dust is sprites, each buffalo has two separate areas emitting dust sprites.
  24. This is going to be a very detailed model by the start you have here, keep er up!
