  6. The pose sliders were to make each model become transparent . The sprites emission percent is as Nancy said the way to turn that on and off. And by adjusting the life of the sprites you can make them end when you want them to etc

The trouble with your two qts is the one of the vase never stops sending sprites so we do not see that sequence stopping and the letters start with the sprites already hitting the lettering and extending to the left side.. you need both sequences to "throw" a group from it to the object to the opposite side. vase throw to the right letters to the left then reverse letter sequences now from vase sprites go toward the letters then the sprites cross into the letter sequence and flow into the letters simple sample using the apple to orange idea watch the group of sprites transfer.mov I did this simple example in the project without the reverse sequence move because movement was just left to right ..also fade is not too fancy but what time allowed project file does not have sprite image that is in v15 data transfer.zip

  10. It use to be used more not sure why it stopped. a lot of people just stay hidden because being contacted in the middle of something can cause problems. It has always worked on my pc not sure if there is a problem with macs
  11. chor....dynamics...force....-100% in Y standard gravity the will effect particles as sprites streak etc adjustable as needed.... need particles to fly right to left gravity -100% in X 0 in Y and Z etc etc this is added to initial velocity and effect by drag..etc on material setting

  13. if you use the search option on the top right of forum click on more search options yo can find plenty of info usually here is my 1.98 example streaks.mov streaks.zip I turned off gravity in the chor ..made model with emitter group ... put together streak material...( particles straeks) ..selected color etc then adjust size for effect ...animated model....streak output could be controled by pose either on /off or % only had a few minutes leaving for work

  15. I did not see anything obvious but the master bone on the flower model was quite large as if you started large then went to smaller modeling. I played with the project a lttle and added a pose to control the petals just for fun and an action for one of the flowers to misbehave and a camera path etc here's what I got also renamed and zipped the project vase.mov ALesson_9_Flower_Power6.zip
  16. they are text files you did nothing wrong but you should embed the models in the project file..easiest way right click on top of project and select embed

  22. here's a possible simple solution or really a rough start in one possible direction weapontrail.mov weapontrail.zip pose controls " trail" another idea would be a dynamic hair image turned on and off by pose On both questions also look at Rodney's idea it is partially done here
  23. here is another example using the basic blur sprite trail2.mov trail2.zip different sprites could give different results this is just another way to get the effect
  24. I did a simple sample with streaks set up a pose to control them I started at the beginning and then stopped at the end by controling rate of emission trail1.mov trail1.zip this is one way
