  2. oh nice"the wolf"! he's totally working that outfit! but should his tail be the same color as his other fur...
  3. yeah man thats way too dark! but i have my screen at max brightness and its still dark! what do other images look like on your computer? like your logo?
  4. which one? and i'll give it a shot brad...
  5. i can't make the a volumetric light shine through an object...it just passes right though it... i've never really worked with volumetrics...
  6. hm, i see your using the same style as with wolverine...
  7. dude you so rock!( i know i keep saying it but its is so true!)
  8. well for one you have to give it bones, then you put in the choreography...does that answer it? this stuff is in the book...
  9. i don't link blood is that....thick....
  10. what disk do you have? and what was the download it intended for?
  11. looks cool, yeah sometimes connecting part can be hard but finally getting it down is satisfying. if you want a nice rendered look simply make one light on the model(delete the first ones), you can do that by right clicking on the choreography screen and going to new. choose a klieg to start and make sure its pointing on the model(so that you can see the model well). then edit the models material settings, you can do this by making a new material(double click the materials tab) and draging it on your model tab. then you can edit the material to get it to look how ever you want, lastly just render...hope that helps.
  12. yeah depends on your settings...looks nice, when is it gonna be textured? i hate using skylights with toon render, i always get weird shadows kinda like this... i was having fun circling lol^_^.i only use klieg lights with toon render, but if anyone knows how to fix a skylight shadow plz tell me!
  13. one thing you can do is imagine A:M models as as already subdivided poly models. and model only in the lowest resolution setting, that way the model will look like a low poly model, simply up the resolution to "preview" the model. the only tutorials you'll need to spline flow and organization...
  14. and i'm just starting high school! anyway maybe a smaller project would be better...i gotta stop thinking so big too....
  15. hi man, may 08 sounds good for something simple, but don't expect to be advanced(unless you have allot of time to spare). do at least half of the TAO:AM(the manual thing), or what you think is important (any thing on animation is vital). but first mess around have some fun and learn from that. that way you'll get a feel of what you have and maybe even make your first model(mines was an apple i made in the first 3 hours i got to use A:M). once you've done that look around for inspiration, find some cool artist that you wanna equal someday( try www.cgsociety.org , or the A:M stills). you'll have some experiance, an idol, motivation, all you need is a SMALL project to start on. but i have a question, can you draw? don't start a model blindly get a concept first(scan it for a reference if you can) and model that. one thing i discovered when i started on my first "real" model was that it turned out exactly how i drew it(not good at that time). when you draw well and know what you want getting there is simply taking your time on it and doing it the best you can. just like in drawing if it makes you feel awkward about it keep fixing it. when your proud of what you have sofar post it in the WIP forum and see what other think, the people here will tell you what they think and what you can do to improve it. man that was long...i'm a long speaking kinda person(i love to talk about what i love to do). well, i hope this helped, i've used A:M for almost 3 years, i'm 15 now and A:M has inspired my career path. my web site is, www.wolfworks.co.nr -MAGE-
  16. some times the order of the groups is important...try reorganizing the groups...if the problem is what i think it is....
  17. i would neutrally expect a slow down since school has started and all... but i can't work on it...since school has started an all...
  18. yeah looks like texturing can be minimal too...
  19. what are you doing a video presentation? if you can't get people to do voices music can work just as well. i entered a contest for national history day and had only words, pictures, and music. i matched the music to the mood of the section having like 7 diffrent songs through out the video. the songs had no words to them just video game music^_^. i got the music from www.bluelaguna.net lotta music from rpgs which are mostly orchestral music(try final fantasy first)
