  1. I see you have collision-detection ON... don't know if you need that in this instance.
  2. It looks like the Hash home... minus the model railway.
  3. Your experiments are always so 'off the cuff'... we appreciate all you do- Merry Christmas, John!
  4. DON'T forget to show us a picture of you in your shirt!
  5. Happiness to my fellow spliners!
  6. DIGGIN THE BIRDS! I'd like to see you do a more 'stylish' cloud... I did a job recently for a lawncare company called LUSHLAWN and did some cool 'fun' unconventional clouds... here's the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YClk843Dt18...player_embedded
  7. There is a setting you can fix for that... go to your choreography properties... twirl-down the dynamics triangle... and set the 'Reduction Error Tolerance' to zero (it's default is .01) this will allow the dynamic constraint to simulate properly and set a key frame on every frame.
  8. You have it ALL going on there... Paul, GREAT character!
  9. This would be a good fit for the MatCap shader... if it still 'was'...
  10. hilarious!
  11. Great automotive rig!
  12. I would say... NO! The splash-screen merely need be a compelling image made with A:M... impress us!
  13. Nothing to say... it's all there! Great work to JimD and Nancy!
  14. There are bars here in Detroit where you can go and have a beer and do lots of studying... Seriously though... there are differing opinions on 'beauty' and the female figger... I recommned looking for a model posted a few years back by Serg2... his opinion parallels my own... and the girls at the bars here in Detroit.
  15. I am quite sure that FastAO does work with reflections. There is a free version and a BETTER renderer version for $50, for V16/32 and 16/64.
  16. More great tests! What next... rag doll physics?
  17. They say... 'audio is half the picture'... I think your foley work there adds a LOT to the animation, GREAT WORK, jimd!
  18. Wow, JimD--- pretty good! I am away from my sound library over the weekend and have sudden travel plans this week... can you take a look at Spleene's 3 clips by any chance?
  19. It's Spleens, Paul Harris and Glenn's right? Chris Dailey's and dblhelix's is done? I went looking for the source file links... found some of Spleenes Youtube links but I can't download from Youtube and don't know if its finalized. Where would we find these movie files that need sound design?
  20. The old crumudgeon here... do yourself a BIG favor... don't use outdated software and wonder why it does not give you updated results. It's like running Windows95, and wondering why it's so hard to connect it to a network when everyone else using Win7 has no problems. There has been a lot of updates to A:M since 13... a LOT. It's worth the expense especially if you are using advanced features.
  21. HERE is my gift to you. I have dug-up an old project file used to make the furniture commercial attached. I have stripped it of all textures and imagery, the main part being a nice piece of 'muscle-mode' animation I did to get the ribbon to untie. Enjoy, fellow Hashers! Please do not use it for commercial purposes unless you contact me 1st. GIFT_BOX_unwrapper.zip Gift_Box_UNWRAP_RIBBON.mov
  22. Yes, a 'morey' is needed. A morey (don't know if I am spelling it right) is an illusion created when 2 patterns move upon each other. I see a morey everytime I drive under a pedestrian overpass, and the 2 chainlink fence patterns that line the overpass create a moving illusion...I am easily entertained. anyways- Basically, in your case, you would need to make a piece of art that could just be a 'scribble' in Photoshop... literally a scribble(with alpha). Bring it into A:M as a layer and place it in front of the lights and give it a little clockwise rotation... now bring another instance/layer in to the same place and rotate this one counter-clockwise. The negative effect they will have on your lights should give the lights a nice 'city at night' twinkle effect. All this assuming you are working in a black scene. Adjust scribble line thickness and rotation speeds to taste. Results may vary. Subject to sales tax. That is an old film trick.
  23. Quite an accomplishment! I hope it brings you a nice little windfall! Yes, that was really kept quiet... AND what a list of superstar talent, must be some great animation in there. ON THE TRAILER, there was one scene that looked like a sore thumb...or rather an orphan... the 3 wigwam's or tents scene just didn't seem to belong to a scene post or prior... other than that...!
  24. Png is not really a compressed format at all, is it? BTW-Anyone messed with the animated png format yet?
