  1. I guess I would recommend giving the Setup Machine2 a whirl... take a look at the characters in my 'rear window' project, open them up in a new project and turn ON the main constraint pose (I may call it ANIMATE ON) and try moving them about to see how TSM feels.
  2. My eyes appreciate your details, Rodger.
  3. Politically INcorrect! I loved it!
  4. That's a good test... is that 'render to lines'?
  5. That's pretty cool... does it render smoothly? Can you set it to generate less-dense geometry?
  6. Fantastic work. You go WAY further than I would ever go. I wish you would elaborate on the end purpose for this AMAZING set you are building... got a story in mind?
  7. Wow- GREAT model! Are your normals all pointing out to begin with?
  8. Great info and image! Fuel for thought!
  9. Yeah! THAT is modeling! Might be a little thick at the heels? Love it!
  10. Hi Nancy- Hope you are 'on the mend!' I've found that when working with my TSM2 rigged models that you can ALWAYS go back in afterwrds and rework, reassign, remove, edit etc the textures and weightings.
  11. And- they ginked me...! After getting the green-light to (quote) rinse and repeat the same animation over and over with 7 unique videos inserted (I even questioned them on the repetition, they're words were "rinse and repeat") now... they are asking for 7 unique animations... different cars, colors etc and they state that 'this is what we asked for." I tell you... the older I get- the harder it is to communicate simple things. And when I asked them to reshoot some of the videos that take less than 2 minutes to produce because of shakey hands, inaudible speech, wind noise, low resolution etc... they act like 'what? we do GOOD WORK, buddy!' I thought I was DONE, now I have 7X the work. Corporate animation SUCKS!
  12. BIG thanks to whoever did the cartoony car and brownstone apartments. This animation was a 'quick build' with elements I had laying around... for a corporate 'ra-rah' video, used as a module to house the headshots, names and TERRIBLE videos of the corporate bigwhigs and supporting their 'MERGE LANES' theme. There will be 7 inset videos in all. MERGE_CUT_TEST.mov
  13. Nice! Great animation... happy to see the new utility, Stefan!
  14. Great 'splinesmanship', fab character! I hope you keep progressing on this... can't wait to see her 'claws'.
  15. I loved this image and voted for it (I think...) also LOVE L&H. Just wish you had some smooth bend in the pole, and the water overlapping the boat. GREAT WORK!
  16. Going back to Jakes question... could it be used with A:M? quote: The design and purpose of Cycles always has been to work as an independent and reusable rendering engine. When Cycles was added to Blender two years ago, we decided to release it under GNU GPL first, specifically to ensure it would develop into a well integrated production rendering system for Blender. With that target to be established well, it’s now time to find out how Cycles could work outside of Blender too.
  17. The sound on mine is optional.
  18. When I was an apprentice animator 25 years ago they MADE me buy and read the book... lots of technical information, much is about the 'old' way of animating (camera stand, ink and paint) but most is timeless.
  19. If I was Jason I would upload them all to a gallery on the Hash Facebook page, and promote them. It would be cool to do some new 'rendering' loop-animations for V18 as well...
  20. pharris430 at gmail dot com SENT. Let me know if you get it okay.
  21. Paul- give me an email address I can send a Quicktime to...
  22. I think I have one rendered and ready to be sendered... I thought I had, my my bad!
  23. I like your '2 nulls' idea...
  24. GREAT ENTRY'S! Awesome to see such participation! It is REALLY hard to just vote for one. Also, the cutoff date says July, I think you mean August... and it would be great to revisit the images after voting. Perhaps one of us (who has not voted yet) could grab them and put them up here in the Forum? ALSO- I invited visitors via my Facebook page... they don't need to be registered forum people to vote, right?
  25. I'd be more than happy to help, Rob. How much content are we talking about? (1 gig, 10 gig?) Sounds like FUN!
