Fuchur Posted April 30, 2012 Posted April 30, 2012 Hi guys, I am currently working on a raven-model. What do you think? See you *Fuchur* turn_1.wmv Quote
NancyGormezano Posted April 30, 2012 Posted April 30, 2012 oooo...very good! Could use some purplish specularity on the feathers Quote
Ilidrake Posted April 30, 2012 Posted April 30, 2012 I love it. Great work. I need that bird in my film LOL... Quote
Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted April 30, 2012 Hash Fellow Posted April 30, 2012 oooo...very good! Could use some purplish specularity on the feathers I agree that's promising looking! It needs something to make it looks not so black. Quote
John Bigboote Posted April 30, 2012 Posted April 30, 2012 THUMBS UP! More than I expected... John Cusack would approve! Will you be flying her? Quote
Fuchur Posted May 1, 2012 Author Posted May 1, 2012 Hi! Thank you very much for the nice words . Here is a second turn around. I think I will have to change the texture of the feathers to make it brighter, but the violett specular was not to much of trouble. It now looks like a magic raven too me, which is exactly what I was seeking to do. Thank you very much Nacny I'll test the texture-changing next and see what it will result in. And yes, I am quite sure I will rig and let him fly . See you *Fuchur* PS: Let me know your email-address and I will send you the model when it is done Lloyd . turn_3.wmv Quote
NancyGormezano Posted May 1, 2012 Posted May 1, 2012 Looks good! The violet/purple specular worked well to give it a nice iridescent quality. Quote
John Bigboote Posted May 1, 2012 Posted May 1, 2012 yeah! this would be a good test for the 'flocking' duplicator. Quote
KJ'd Beast Posted May 1, 2012 Posted May 1, 2012 Hi guys, I am currently working on a raven-model. What do you think? See you *Fuchur* Great start. The raven's beak needs to be a bit larger. Quote
mouseman Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 There are multiple kinds of raven. See wikipedia page on Corvids. Quote
Wildsided Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 That's a damn fine looking bird you've got going on there. Can't wait to see her flying. Quote
Ilidrake Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 lloyd-m at live.com Thanks i really would appreciate using it. Total kudos!!! Quote
Fuchur Posted May 3, 2012 Author Posted May 3, 2012 Nice ..Mr Poe would be impressed Thanks . I am currently rigging him and here is a small inbetween-step of the Raven. The hair / feathers are really behaving well... in general I would have expected, that it would be troublesome to move him without any jumping, etc. but nothing in that direction happened. It is only a pose I did for rigging (to see if everything behaves right) but it looked quite well to me, so I wanted to show it off. His beak is now a little bigger too, to better suit my reference-images (I thought it was to big when I modelled it, but when I saw the image of the raven above, I did rework it there). See you *Fuchur* Quote
steve392 Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 That hair is working very well and thats a lovely sheen on the feathers ,nice work Quote
Fuchur Posted May 31, 2012 Author Posted May 31, 2012 Another update for the raven... See you *Fuchur* Quote
