  1. That could be a like a transporter beam.
  2. For me the answer is always, what formats does my video editing program accept? If not Quicktime, then image sequences or uncompressed AVI? If I'm going to use footage from A:M in some later video app, then I don't want to render to a compressed format if i don't have to.
  3. Yeah, the Quicktime Player is unique in its ability to step and scrub frames and does it pretty well in any codec.
  4. Rodney, try this... clip3922SettingPoseDefault.mov
  5. What format is there that can reliably scrub back and forth frame-by-frame, has both compressed and uncompressed video/audio options and won't lose audio sync after you scrub?
  6. As far as the exploits... for my computer to be vulnerable I'd have to try to view a Quicktime movie on the internet that was bad, right?
  7. I've always thought of my Quicktime Pro purchase as an enhancement to the Quicktime Player that enables resaving, recompressing and exporting. I use it to take frame renders from A:M or large AVI screen captures and compress them down to usable sizes, including sound compression which we can't do from A:M. That's what I use it for. Is that not what it is?
  8. Yes, Pixosaur 3D Painter does use OpenGL to draw the real-time display.
  9. I'm pretty sure my Quicktime has bugged me to do an update recently.
  10. I have noticed this too in the PC version. It seemed new but wasn't sure if I'd just remembered it wrong.
  11. You're on the right track. it's very odd behavior.
  12. If I select one CP of those four and press the comma key (to select all CPs on the same spline) , the others do not all get selected so they can't be all on the same spline.
  13. I've done some tests on spinning lights before and found that it was in the same general range of render time as regular AO. It was faster with less passes but longer with more passes.
  14. Thank you for your investigation, Rodney!
  15. I was resplining an "A" that didn't come out of the FontWizard quite right and have created what should be a legal four-sided patch... four CPs, connected by splines and not all on the same spline... and yet it doesn't fill in. If I copy just those four CPs and paste them to the right they do fill in but not if they are part of the whole mesh. Anyone know what is wrong? (This is not a Hide Backfaces problem) Fixin A.mdl
  16. Those look real good, Matt. I thought, "That's too good to be A:M's toon shader" but I'm glad to be wrong!
  17. I'm disappointed there's nothing to buy!
  18. My first guess is that you're missing the JPG iio file in the import filters folder. I look forward to the next Largent production!
  19. Another warning to update your Flash Player today... Flash: Adobe issues emergency update after ransomware attacks
  20. Lucky granddaughter!
  21. And I'll remind you to update your avatar.
  22. Sacré bleu! Again with the WINE.
