  1. No one seems to have reported the JPG bug to AMReports. That would be the first step.
  2. What if you open this PRJ that uses a JPG? GerryTest.zip
  3. Hi, Gerardo. I've moved your post to a thread of its own so you are more likely to get the attention of a forum member who has an answer to your question. I don't have a Mac, but if right-clicking on the Images folder doesn't work, can you drag an image from a directory folder directly into into A:M? (OK, I just saw that that is good 'ol Gerry. Why are you under a new name??)
  4. I believe Newton objects can respond to forces. Also cloth surfaces can respond to forces.
  5. You can avoid most internal patches during the modeling process. Because four connected CPs wont' fill in if they are all on the same spline, starting with a single-ring outline and extruding along the shape of the leg, as in "B", that will create no internal patches. If you start with one side of the leg and extrude that, as in "A", you will get internal patches (marked with blue Xs).
  6. SHIFT-6 toggles Show Backfacing Patches which makes it easier to see reversed ones. Also: Go to the Front view, on the background>Plugins>Wizards>Correct Normals That plugin tries to make all Patches face together, but it can only guess. Sometimes doing it several times can get them all aligned, but if it says "Nothing to Do" it can't do any more. If it doesn't get them all facing alike, it will usually get large groups facing together, which are easy to select and Flip all at once. Also: I notice numerous internal patches in your polygon result. Those are generally bad in A:M. You're probably creating those shapes in a non-optimal way.
  7. I'm below a noob at that, but... does this have anything to do with patch direction? Are all the normals facing out on the A:M version?
  8. The arm raising to the mouth is an example of isolated motion... one body part moving while something it is attached to remains motionless. In this case the arm is moving while the torso is frozen and that will always be unnatural looking. If the torso and head moved slightly to meet the cup while it is traveling that would help loosen it up. When the torso is pulling the arm up, the arm is also pulling the torso toward it (slightly). Action and reaction is always happening when we move. Also there is no anticipation to the arm raising movement.
  9. No, I don't believe so. It's a temporary window that depends on what CPs are currently chosen.
  10. Intel invents the concept of mega-tasking to sell new 10-core CPUs Of course with A:M NetRender you'll get way better than just 35% more throughput when rendering frames.
  11. I would recommend beveled edges on the space ship but I know that's a challenging task.
  12. I'll just note again that any of you can make AM Reports! It's a hundred times more likely to get found and fixed if you can provide a PRJ and steps to make a bug happen, however. I see that I reported a Group dragging crash back in March and it did get fixed then but it came back apparently. Steffen is on it!
  13. Adobe Media Encoder is Adobe's 'container' for such things as Quicktime. What is the file extension for Adobe Media Encoder? For Quicktime it's .MOV Adobe Media Encoder is not a "container"
  14. Looks like this is only for their Creative Cloud users? It's not clear what these codecs will be contained in if not contained in Quicktime.
  15. John... The QT file appears all black to me and the WMV won't play.
  16. I did this last year and it has prevented my Win 7 computer from trying to update http://www.howtogeek.com/228551/how-to-stop-windows-7-or-8-from-downloading-windows-10-automatically/ I don't know if that will help after an upgrade has already started. Just in case, save your license files for AM and AmPaint in a safe place. If they don't work after the Win 10 upgrade I'm pretty sure Hash can re-issue your license for A:M, and I think the guy who does AMPaint can do that too.
  17. And now that is Issue #6694. Thanks for catching that. I probably haven't moved a Group in a long time.
  18. If you have time to try the same sequence in the video (on the AM Report) I'd be curious to hear your result. I tried it in the v19 alpha and got a crash also.
  19. I tried screen-camming it and it took about 4 minutes of constant bone-dragging to get a crash. Then i tried it again, and got a crash in just five moves! Now an AM Report #6693
  20. I loaded up a character and tried doing lots of crazy dragging and eventually got a crash! I'll try it some more...
  21. Does the running figure look male or female ? Ambiguous, to me. Does it look like its wearing a shirt or vest ? It looks tight, i guess it's a shirt since there's no front opening. Does the run look OK or is it odd in places? In real life, runs tend to have a smoother up and down than walks
  22. The splash screen and About screen don't have a plus on them. Do I have the right installer?
