  1. And now that is Issue #6694. Thanks for catching that. I probably haven't moved a Group in a long time.
  2. If you have time to try the same sequence in the video (on the AM Report) I'd be curious to hear your result. I tried it in the v19 alpha and got a crash also.
  3. I tried screen-camming it and it took about 4 minutes of constant bone-dragging to get a crash. Then i tried it again, and got a crash in just five moves! Now an AM Report #6693
  4. I loaded up a character and tried doing lots of crazy dragging and eventually got a crash! I'll try it some more...
  5. Does the running figure look male or female ? Ambiguous, to me. Does it look like its wearing a shirt or vest ? It looks tight, i guess it's a shirt since there's no front opening. Does the run look OK or is it odd in places? In real life, runs tend to have a smoother up and down than walks
  6. The splash screen and About screen don't have a plus on them. Do I have the right installer?
  7. The old lady with the walker beat them all.
  8. I was watching the slowest LA freeway chase ever, the transport of a SpaceShuttle fuel tank through the city to a museum. In the long shots it looks like part of the tank has wrong-facing patches and we are seeing through to the far side of the tank. But later there are some close-ups and it turns out that a corrugated surface is what caused that strange inverse shading effect...
  9. My broad-level suggestion is to do the component parts first. The lights and their immediate housings, the grills and their immediate frames... Place them in space relative to each other and then start stitching their edges together. I think this will be easier than trying to make the general shape and trying to add details to it. If you get stuck come back and ask some more!
  10. Yes, paths for cameras simplify a lot of moving camera problems.
  11. after a bit of experimenting... the correct way to do it is... start your Pose, then in the PWS, in the temporary Action that is created while Pose window is open, enable Show more than drivers to expose the "Bones" folder each bone has an eye icon that can be set on or off to set the bone's "Hidden" property in the Pose This allows you to explicitly set a bone to Hidden OFF which was hard to do with the J key method.
  12. I believe it's the J key. In the Pose, select the bones, then use J to toggle visible and invisible
  13. Yes. If you have a keyframe selected you can set the Interpolation with the 7,8,9,0 keys at the top of the keyboard. You can see the shortcuts listed in the JPG above.
  14. Hi Adam... My first guess is that the previous keyframe is set to "Hold" interpolation, which makes the channel hold the value of a keyframe until a new one is encountered. Select the previous keyframe> >Interpolation Method> to choose a different interpolation, like Spline
  15. Three cheers to A:M and the artists who use it! Hip, Hip, Hooray! (I hope we get to see some of that stuff someday.)
  16. Perilous and lovely!
  17. Recall that Avalanche was the A:M-using studio behind "Tak and the Power of Juju" and others before Disney bought them and it sounds like they were still using A:M in their pipeline for something up to the end. Update: Ken Baer tells me that Avalanche stopped using A:M after they were purchased by Disney.
  18. Hmmm... that's a somewhat different look than our typical torch fire. And very brief. Try the fire tut in TAoA:M none-the-less if you haven't worked with particles yet.
  19. I'd have to see the specific case to know more.
  20. I gave it a try but CP weighting isn't in effect when you move a bone in the model window.
  21. What you want to do is absolutely doable in A:M and we can walk you through the steps here if you want to go that way.
  22. I'm not familiar with the lace material. If that doesn't work, a transparency map could be made that has the fabric pattern on it and that could be tiled on the shape.
  23. Generally if you want an MDL that has all the alterations you made in an Action (or the Chor) you need to export a new MDL. Can you explain that more? I don't understand.
