  1. Yeah, the kiss pose needs a little more pucker
  2. This sounds interesting. I think this is a cool idea. Best of luck on this project. The robot pictured on the web looks too much like a lego piece. Is this the look you're after are are you after the dirty/grungy/dangerous looking type?
  3. I go to the one on Polhemus & Ralston (Crystal Springs area by the 280/92?). I rarely go downtown. But for you I will
  4. Animated pencil sketches Now that changes everything. Pencil sketches have a mood of their own, and this will definitely keep things "dark". Can't wait to see more.
  5. Hi Frank, nice to see you again. That's some excellent workmanship. Beauty & Brute is exactly what those characters portray. Is this part of a short movie or stills?
  6. That's gorgeous. Now why didn't I think of that.?
  7. Looks superb! Very fluid, no creases. Looks like Shrek Nice work.
  8. Awesome work Jody, just awesome Hey, I work in San Mateo. How about a Starbuck's ?
  9. I agree that the story as it stands could very well express the metaphor Jeff & Rodney refer to. But if Will wants to, as he said "The fairies emote feelings that should make the audience (and apparently that is working) identify with them", then I feel an emotional connection with the fairies needs to be established first. A sad fairy in a pail is what it is; a sad fairy in a pail. But if that fairy had made me laught earlier, or made me connect with her on a personal level (I don't know about you but I've never been inside a pail before), then when she's in that pail that becomes appalling to me, now it's personal, because that would be me or someone I truly care about that is in distress. That's all I'm saying. Will; as they say in the entertainment industry: go break a leg. (That's = good luck)
  10. A piece of his neck is missing in the back Awesome work dude.
  11. Prima! I hope you don't drive your car on two wheels
  12. Now I see why I didn't have the emotional connection with the fairy. This is only my own personal thought & I could be way off base. I'm learning as I go. My thoughts are based on what I learned at college from a retired Disney animator. There wasn't enough time or a situation to build up that connection. The story starts with the fairy already caught in the pail. Will conveyed the distress of the fairy in the 4th scene, but the emotional connection isn't there because the fairy was not yet introduced to me. I would feel her distress if, as an example, I saw her flying free, playing with the other fairies, maybe a playful situation that we can all remember as kids (a game of hide & seek?). Or the fairy dances with a bumble bee? And then, in the middle of this happy scene, they get caught by the troll... and the rest is histo... Will's story I don't want the story to go the way I want, it is Will's and only Will knows what's best. I'm simply sharing what I think will make it more dramatic.
  13. Thanks Vern for your input. I just lost a bid for one Graphire3 on e-bay. I'm thinking of dishing out the 100 bucks and buying it straight from Wacom, this way I get warranties and what nots. Mark, that Critiq is pretty sweet. I just can't stomach accessories that cost more than my computer
  14. Welcome back jam Nice looking model.
  15. I can't seem to connect with the story. What am I missing? What's the moral of the story? Please help me understand.
  16. Nice start. Appealing characters. The movements are way too mechanical & repetative. A little stretch & squash, bounce, varied motions etc.. would do wonders. Can't wait to see more
  17. God bless dad. Glad to hear his pain went away.
  18. Yup, I had the same things everytime I updated A:M. I have cable connection and the time it indicates reaches as high as 75 minutes but the actual DL time is only couple of minutes.
  19. Atlanta Users Meeting... that gave me a chuckle, thanks David
  20. Looks good to me. To nitpick: I don't know what look is required for this piece (realistic/cartoon). I went ahead and dropped a box at my workshop, & observed that the dust doesn't originate right at the edge surface of the box. Because of air turbulance generated by the box the dust was blown 6-8 inches away from the box first before it started rising & rolling. I dropped a box of air filters 16X22X25" deep, about 10-15 lbs. The contents/weight of your box and the drop distance must be taken into consideration.
  21. As much as I like the model, hell & demons really scare the bejeebees out of me. <sigh> I wish your avatar superhero would get animated in a mini movie, or a full feature
  22. The handrail Are you actually gonna count how many bars in there?
  23. Awsome moon, nice foilage. What Trajce said, fog would add more "spook".
  24. That looked sweet <cough..cough>
  25. Nice looking engine. Did you offset the cylinders? Hard to tell from that angle.
