  1. Looks like a lot of displacement/bump maps were used..nice lighting! I'd save this for any future image contests..it would probably win
  2. Are those bevels I see? Great model!
  3. That looks great with hair..I suggest some more wrinkles in the chest area
  4. Lighting is great and so is scene, but what's in here that will make people think, "I'm guessing this guy was trying to model a mechanical structure"...right now it looks like a room for the mechanism...I suggest modeling something and putting it into the water
  5. In that type of plane, you'd be able to see the wooden frames under the material..I suggest adding slight bumps of lines of where the frames stick out
  6. That's very strange..I dont' know anything about AE, but that's just plain weird
  7. That looks like something a who would have in whoville lol.
  8. The model is already looking great..I agree with Fuchur's suggestion with the beard...I also suggest making eyelids/ brows for the guy..right now he looks dead lol
  9. yeah..I've noticed it's slow, also..
  10. haha..that guy looks hilarious.. I mean the modeling is so bad!! lol. just kidding..this guy looks awesome...I suggest you add eyelids, a very good crucial body part in animating (I learned it the hard way)..here's a recent discussion on making decent eyelids: making eyelids
  11. I would select the rim of the hat around the head and set up a hair emitter material...and for the rest of the body, I can't really help..seriously, as much as I know about the "basic advanced" stuff, I can't help with modling a body like what you want
  12. The white of the eye is blue? ah..are you in bones mode?
  13. not sure from the angle of the shot..here, I've created one for you to examine if you want. The eyes you have now are fine, but when animating you'll have to move the iris for different expressions..in the attachment I made an eye with a bone, along with a pose for the iris movement Eyeball.zip
  14. It looks like you made those eyes by hand...that's fine, but here's how I do mine: -set the lathe cross sections to 12 (tools>options>Modeling>the box that has lathe cross sections) - lathe a diagnal line - delete the top points of the "cone" -rotate the remaining points on the X axis 90 degrees -Delete half of the circle, and break the middle spline - copy the half that is left - bring the bottom spline up the y axis a grid square and away from the y axis line a grid square..peak the point - lathe the circle to get the beginning of your eye - close the circle that is open lol - remember the half of the circle you copied? Paste it -move it down y axis -lathe -scale the sphere bigger and move it up until the eyeball is inside, what this will be called, the cornea... -set the outer most sphere to 90 percent transparency - and make the iris a color The simplest way to make a poseable eye other than the eyes, it looks great for a start! Be sure to post up your progress
  15. Lip sync is pretty much fine, but the timing is a bit off...
  16. It's a variation of Shaun F's mouth rig (taught on Siggraph vid)
  17. Here's bones..(Thanks shaun f. !)
  18. Sure...here's wire (next post is bones/wire)..the reason for the many splines on the bottom lip is for syncing flexibility
  19. Wow! How many patches? Do you know? The material is unbelievable! I might buy that!
  20. You seem like a person who would be great at doing those commericals with objects that are alive.lol..That's what I would want to do for a career if I can't ever model living things
  21. Lookin' great! It seems it's ready to make some animations Be sure to post some up
  22. Poses are the best Along with CP Weighting! You influence me a lot..what do you use to model the face (method?) Because they're really smooth
  23. it's a great free model, too...good luck with your movie..I have some suggestions about your trailer, though. The walk is a bit robotic and linear...add some arch movements to your character...
  24. hey! That building is on the CD for the Guide to animation master!
  25. I've made it longer and I just saw a problem..the name of the brand is in the label..I'll have to make that disappear..well, back to Photo..
