Somebody's gotta do it...Squidward's house!
jamagica replied to jamagica's topic in Work In Progress / Sweatbox
And another from the front...you might notice a bit of assymetry...for some reason the Copy Flip and attach function wasn't cooperating, so I just copy and pasted everything and lined it up -
Check it out! After watching Spongebob I decided to model Squidward's unique house...I haven't "colored" it yet but I'm pretty much done modeling except for the door...since I don't have a lot of time, I might apply it as a decal or something along those lines...:

The eyes look great! and the mouth shape is very unique..awesome job...start preparing your finger for mouse clicks to the image contest

I like it a lot! seems very "finding nemoish" lol. Can't wait to see them in action

I think Duck Sauce needs remaking..lol jk. The web design is quite good...what might look good is if you make the hyperlinks bold..
-
Ok...I think I know what color I want, but I'm asking what would be the best type of material? Gradient? Perlin? etc.
-
Alright..I think I found a color for the type of ocean I'm doing (the really deep ones with a lot of seaweed) Suggestions?
-
somebody please answer my q. about the color of the water?
-
Wow..that's nice..I'm thinking of getting this book..is it really good?

John Bigboote, What is "tile-able"..if you meaning lining many up to eachother creating a convincing huge body of water, yes you can...
-
Not big modifications, but as suggested by another thread I just literally moved the material (a new feature since 8.5) instead of adding a series of Targas or AVI movie as a decal..it makes the process twice as fast...what should the color be, as this wasn't explained at all in the tuturial? I want it as realistic as possible.. (it's for a movie I'm making called The Ocean It basically involves the US slowly sinking down because of the soaking of the Atlantic Ocean through weak layers of sediment under the US...
-
I've seen your work and you have a very interesting character design..very cool
-
I've created a rough animation of ocean water with slight modifications of Babbage's tuturial...No color or shading yet...it's for a CG/Real film movie I'm creating... Water Note: To view you must Right Click on link>Click properties>Copy full address>Paste in address bar> and Go! CRITIQUES PLEASE...EVEN IF CRUEL

Trying to close hole without creases
jamagica replied to ddustin's topic in Work In Progress / Sweatbox
My only suggestion is this...make sure you don't have any three point patches...that's a big no-no in this type of situation. Make sure everything is a four point patch..I'd explain more if you'd tried closing the hole up and post up a screenshot (just don't save it after you do it) -
if you're rigging in TSM2 and using v. 11 animating doesn't work right...if you didn't, make sure that you aren't pulling the rotator bar that comes off of the bone (that could be it) And nice model! did you create it yourself? It's better looking than in the game!

How can I enter a film for the Nicktoons festival?
-
Ken H, this isn't regarding hair but it regards about the face you've modeled of Mr. Incredible...he doesn't have the "look" and it's because the bottom of his chin is a bit bigger and pushed outward away from his face a bit more (look at images that were posted)

My question still hasn't been answered and due to business schedules I need an answer pretty quick (see post about eyelid poses)
-
I think you should add a body to it then it'd be excellent
-
Also, what is the best way to create a blink pose...every time I try to the top and bottom lids get unlined up and messy and I have to spend about an hour fixing it..and it still doesn't look good. Lol

You know, I don't think it will turn out photorealistic. I want it to look futuristic. So I don't know
