  1. Well, for starters, how did you create a new pose for the camera? EDIT: Wait..you created a pose for the null, right?
  2. how do you do that? I know you said pose sliders, but do you have like a null inside the model that has a constraint with the camera?
  3. Usually the keys would be differently colored, and there'd be numbers on them...other than that, the structure and bevels are great
  4. Oh...you could have used the duplicator to make the copies then attached those
  5. did you use the duplicator wiz- for that?
  6. Why did you make the M part of the mesh? It'd take about 100 times less the time it takes to stitch it in
  7. You should actually create the splines on the rotoscope instead of creating them and then placing them in the spot..only lathing should be done off the rotoscope (as I would do)
  8. you oughtta add some bump maps to the body
  9. You never know...if you somehow set a perlin material with one layer as dots and another layer the background, you could make that 100 percent transparent or something
  10. dude..with your work sprites may be forsaken!
  11. And here's the blueprint source: Linky
  12. Hey Guys..I'm doing a whole bunch of stuff right now I decided to try modeling the GI Joe Submarine Plane vehicle..I plan model the little details seperatley..also, the reason why the vehicle is peaked is because it's easier to model that way..this isn't much: EDIT: Here's a link to the pic linky
  13. I have no idea what it does..I hope for it to end up really really really large
  14. I forgot I had this arm thingy, so I'm continuing on it:
  15. nice creature! lol..thanks John...what effectors did you use to create that material? Also, what if I created one decal with normal color, then in a program such as photoshop I'd color it green? How would I transition in a pose? Can you set transparency on a decal?
  16. Wow..you could work in the radiosity forum That looks awesome..the pose makes it look like he was animated and you took a screen shot of it (that's a good thing )
  17. can you post a screenshot of the rig and PWS (so I can see the hiearchy)...I'm rigging a lamp with the "leg" in that shape and don't know the best way to..also, can you tell me what constraints you used?
  18. I'd add lines to represent metal plates (use bump maps)
  19. uh...whoa...he....la...that....is.... AWESOME EDIT: It's always good to have a pose like that even if you don't think you'll use it...later you'll be like "Whoa! I forgot I made a pose like that!" Also, you can use part of a pose to help other poses.
  20. Since dragons don't exist, I don't think there's any wrong way to fold wings, just like "There's no wrong way to eat a Reces Peanut Butter Cup"
  21. It's a good way to excersise modeling skills at top-notch because there's a lot of "where should I connect this, should I break this spline,..." because of the fact it's a, well, car! lol..All modeling is required to have thoughts like that, but with a car it's a bit more easy but also mind-boggling sometimes
  22. Haha...that was funny and cool! If you made a sprite of those pretty "flower firecrackers" you could animate them in that same way
  23. Start the pivot of the bone from where the hinge runs down...
  24. did you bevel those edges??
