That looks REAL
-
They look great!
-
That looked much better...it just seems that something would be happening to the outside rim of the actual puddle at that much force. it probably would actually expand a bit or the outside would splash outward, settle down, then slowly come back inward again...how did you do that? I'd like to try an experiment with this
-
I looked at the pic again and thought that the "veins" of the wood texture should be a bit smaller to reduce the plastic look
-
I found some glitches in the natural physics of your droplet onto the water...the middle wouldn't just splash, as the rest of the puddle would slightly ripple as reaction to the droplet hitting the surface, due to the breaking of surface tension and the force of gravity on the droplet lol..wanted to try some scientific explanation

Sweet! Your models are amazing!
-
I just looked at your model again and realized something..how will a man of the dark see in the dark while driving? Won't the thing need some headlights? I think it'd be cool to have a lens flare effect with lights on that mobile
-
What about the brows? He looks scared right now...just lathe a simple brow with about six control points for expression flexibility, then copy/paste
-
I would also apply the face from the pic as a decal (as seen in many tutes..check out Colin F.'s)
-
I rarely see people follow there plans/sketches as accurately as you did..that's an awesome model..if you do what the above people said, it'll look like metal and not plastic..that's awesome
-
Yeah, I'd have to agree on the cigarette thing too, but maybe it is just the pose, as questioned. Maybe you should create a pose when the cigarette is visible, and invisible
-
He looks a lot better than the start...always save after every single action you take..it's a good habit. Anyways, the eyelids added a lot. I suggest making at least ear grooves. you can do this by either pulling in CP's, remaking the eye by lathing an ear profile shape, using magnet mode to shape a new ear, or just paint a bump map with grooves for the ear Good luck with the rest of it

Hmmm..I move some bones and nothing moves..did you use a rigger for this? Besides, that, the model structure is great, but also, you should disconnect the shin BONE from the foot, because the foot basically looks like flubber and it's not a very flexible animation area when it comes to moving it

just downloaded, about to check out the guy

That 'd be great if you'd post that model up for us to experiment That'd be awesome to animate, and I'd love to expirement with King Kong actions and stuff

EDIT: That looks awesome! If TSM 2 isn't working, use the 2001 rig -

Yes...go to your model then view the properties...if it's not expanded, crack open the "user properties" folder...right click on the pose you want to delete, and do so -
That was a good cycle! By the way, the putty dude's name is Thom. Good work!

Alright..sorry..I'm not explaining well enough..basically, I think I set up the bones wrong for this model..When I TRANSLATE the thigh bone I don't want the calf bone to move.
-
Isn't there some sort of constraint in which if I translate the parent of the calf bone, the calf bone won't move? It's not translate limits...

I just made another model for fun and am having a problem with heirchy (or however you spell it) The pics are posted below of the bone's points and the actual PWS display....My problem is I want to create a bone that makes both the eye and the thigh move forward, the the end point is facing down, so how would I do this? I know what you're thinking. Use fall off..for some reason, even if I hide everything but the eye, the fall off still effects the leg a bit..So, in conclusion, I want the "thigh" bone to control the eye and the thigh, along with the eye control the eye, lol EDIT: The leg isn't connected to the eye, just so you know

a lot of this modeling is on the latest siggraph CD's...I suggest buying them
-
for the hills, did you just create a material and add turbulence, along with some displacement percentage? Or did you just create a material, then pull CP's back on the hills?

Eyebrows are very essential for expression...I do suggest making them...Just make them float if you are on a tight time scale...I suggest just lathing an eyebrow with about 5/6 points for expression flexibility... position it, then copy/paste and Move over to the other side, instead of deleting half of everything then copying, flipping/attaching. After that, create poses for different eye expressions..then you're ready
