  1. Thanks for replying Robcat. Just visited your site and watched most of your competition anims. Great stuff! If you ever wish to take someone under your wing - i'm available. In the meantime I'm taking into account your comments re: anticipation and I'll work more into the next update. Me too! As soon as I get the time. Doug
  2. Hello gang, I've been working with a model that Hoochoochoo, a pal I met over at CGTalk.com gratefully has allowed me to animate with. Please follow the link for a couple of early tests with this character. Thanks for any comments. Doug Joof animation tests
  3. My goodness that's funny. Where did you get the voice? Its great. I cannot wait to see where this is going. Doug
  4. Yes please do more! Great character and nice look you've got goin so far. I like the camera movement in on him. I also like the lipsync though to me the "DUH" at the end of mad is too explosive or something. Cool stuff ! Doug
  5. That is one arse-kickin' centaur ! Fine work and i love the proportions. Doug
  6. Man oh man these 'things' ooze personality. This scene is hilarious! I for one, would happily plunk down cash for the Kapsule Action figurines. Great job ! Doug
  7. Been done but, what about these toys are on a kid's floor in a bedroom and suddenly one wakes up, rouses the other and then the other. Soon they're flying around, bumping into things and each other. Then a cat comes in and eats them. hehe I dunno. These characters look somewhat dopey and that's why I see them bumping into stuff. Feel free to ingnore this suggestion. Doug
  8. These are so cool and cute. Nice job. So you have something in mind for these fellers? Doug
  9. Mike - Tony looks really sweet !! (not unlike the cereal, which as a kid was one of my faves but now when I eat it makes my fillings hurt). Doug
  10. Let me add another Woo hoo on that one Parlo ! Nice work. Doug
  11. David, Wow that is sweet animation ! I thought for a moment that he was waving his one leg in an "i give up" pose then you added the twist at the end. Cool. Maybe I should start seeking stalking you and maybe some of your skills would rub off on me. Sheesh. Cya, Doug
  12. Very very nice so far. I agree with Jim excellent toony style here. I can't wait to see this progress. Doug
  13. Yes ! Very surreal and abstract(hmm someone tell me if I'm butchering art terms here ). Its the kind of thing that you can stare at and draw your own conclusions. If that's what you're after, then you've suceeded. Great job! Doug
  14. Very helpful responses gents. Thank you. Nope. I'm so new to all this. Perhaps it occurs when converting to jpeg? I'll investigate all suggestions and respond when I figure it all out. Thanks again. Doug
  15. Here's a pic of the rigging problems I'm having. Knees knock together and arm bones are still showing up though hidden. Thanks. Doug
  16. Cool and clean. It's ....GrrrrrrrrrEAT !!!! Doug
  17. Yet another update. Cheers all. Doug
  18. I like Red 2 Doug
  19. Hey Frank, Yes, you're right. Material / texture wise he's alot different right now. I haven't spent the amount of time in A:M getting that to look the way I want. I was mainly posting it for the pose. And I'm not as good with lighting in A:M yet either as you noted. I'm on it. Thanks for your comments. I'll try and post a better render later today(if work allows). Cya, Doug

    Singer

She's really looking good. I love the wink and smile. Doug
  21. Continuing ... This is all A:M. Finally rigged up this fella and posed him to check the rig. He deforms badly at the thighs (in back towards the butt). Unsure why but here he is. Thanks for any thoughts. Oh yes, just remembered he has no eyes in this render. Doug *note - this render sux. I turned up multipass for maximum a-aliasing and it looked swell, but when I converted it to jpeg ...yuck. Anyone have any suggestions on that? I used Irfanview.
  22. Nice job ! First model, ack! (doug removes A:M cd from drive and tosses it against the wall). Doug
  23. Very nice. This makes me want to attend your presentation. If I may be so bold, could the ZING be a bit larger? And perhaps a bit angular? Right now there's a bit of dead gray space where the Zing could fill in a bit more. btw - i ain't no design guy so take this with a grain of salt. Looks very sharp. Doug
  24. Wonderfrul critiques gents. I'll just keep mine to the mundane - I dig the first costume the most. I look forward to your progress ! Doug
