  1. I made it springy ..was testing an idea and playing with the cloth settings
  2. In the chor...right click pick simcloth
  3. cloth.mov Haven't done a cloth test for awhile. Notice how the shape reacted consistently
  4. Looks good to me
  5. bicycle.mov This is an animation I did, all the characters are minipic fonts with only the bicycle modified to roll. If you mean have the text fly arounnd etc this should be an extreme sample.
  6. Just a quick tip rendering to jpg would be smaller file
  7. do a search ...click search in upper right and you should get lots of hits http://www.hash.com/forums/index.php?act=S...te=%2Blightning simple use of render as lines...should have checked pose before render weird end snap arc.mov arc.zip
  8. exphair.mov Hair in three sections controlled by the same expression with a fudge factor to follow along exhair.zip
  9. spring.zip If you really want to model a spring start in v13 at least start new model right click in PWS pick wizard primirtive then feather and play with settings Did a quick example here
  10. From a person who does not drink coffee...Ken's other post got me going ctube.mov V13 project file ctube.zip
  11. why not continue th spline up into the top part you can just start and "sew" it together
  12. new model right click font wizard
  13. For cat lovers this project
  14. Thanks I saved this off the reference manual it might help others with ideas they are similar but both are interesting expressions.pdf expressionobjects.pdf right click and save opens faster
  15. My first model was a candle that was suggested in the older manual...nice job for the first model...I still can't model
  16. poseexpress.mov Okay I thought using an expression to control a repeating action is great but how would I add a pose slider to vary that expression. I came up with simple idea in the example above I made a pose that controlled the scale of a bone not assigned any cp's I made a sine expression that scaled the y scale of the model over time but used the control bones scale value to control the effect of the expression The left model has the scaling expression effect turned down on the up cycle then set up for the down cycle The middle model has full effect of the expression for the whole cycle The last has about 30% of the expression effect for the whole cycle All models are the same just setup different with the pose slider and colored differently So what use could this have...think of a model breathing slowing and shallow at first then because of some action begins to breath faster (which could be adjusted with another slider) and heavier poseexpress.zip Thoughts? yes no John you are crazy.... Questions...
  17. breathe.mov Okay this uses expressions to control the XYZ position and Y height if spheres and the length of the hair and the XYZ Scale of the material. The Chaos is the use of the Rand() which returns a value from 0 to 1
  18. I have a 1.7 p4 and 512k ram and still have fun..
  19. Okay last two then someone can post something useful Based on something Rodney said hello.mov expression spins hello hello.zip Then hopefully this should stop my nonsense breathe.mov breathe.zip
  20. Colin I could have done a better job and just multiplied GetTime() by 30...
  21. acameras.mov camera.zip Colin your formula did not work GetTime goes up 1/30 at a time and rand(12,20) is nor valid rand() is So used the basic idea and got two frames on four off
  22. Nancy you are working too hard..I am just trying to model an animal and then attempt to use the squash rig. It is part of my training to become as great an animator as you are. Save your anger for the lost luggage etc when you go Rhino hunting. (note the avatar where Nancy acts as a midwife to the poor defenseless animal) It will take time since Colin has already distracted me, as have others . Use your talent for good stay away from the darkside.
  23. added some eye socket then stuck some temporary eyes into them..could work faster if Colin would stop demanding we do expressions Ears next then somebody...
  24. cameras.mov Colin your idea added to the effect I just varied the intensity of the flare on this trial Rand()*0.6+0.3
  25. This at first might look completely useless but think of a stadium where everyone is taking pictures...might work there Anyway its 5 lenfares randomly changing their x,y,and z position each frame rand()*200-100 in this sample lights.mov
