  5. Not at home now but I assume the streaks are applied to a group on the model then they will follow it and you can control them by the settings in the emitter section A posting of what you are getting would help
  6. I thought I would whip up some planets to help you Two spheres off the CD primitives with easy materials. I used materials so I could animate them tryplanet.mov I animated the materials a little too much but then this was a quicky project tryplanet.zip

  13. I loaded the Leopard Queen project and opened a window for the barbarian and did quick render with no problems. This was on a PC Pent 4 at 1.7 Tried the helicopter same results. Will try a full render The helicopter propel group seems to be the problem if you hide this group the model will render fast but if you try to render the propel group it hangs I did a quick modification to the central part of the propel group and it now seems to render fine... the mod might need tweaking mod_helicopter.zip Will look at the barbarian later Barbarian hangs on final render
  14. you can control this sprite smoke etc by adjusting the velocity, life ,size in the sprites properties, also adjusting the chors gravity or using a force as a fan force.

  17. blobwet.mov Tried to have blobbies act as a slow moving puddle but wil wait for fluids or try others ideas first about a hour to render on p4 1.7

    Same Idea but I used Sweeper trying a few diffrent positions for a round petal then tweaking the swept object
  20. If you are not seeing it in the render are you sure you have particles turned on If nothing else read and do the chapter smoke,wind and fire in TAO
  21. Loop is not perfect because I was moving the paths and didn't set it to cycle..

  23. The smoke i was using was a material and not a volumetric effect. You add it to a group on the model. Let me see if i can do a quick sample or find the one I posted. Could not find what I posted above so threw this together...not pretty v13smoke.mov v13 project assumes cd on drive d simple model with an expression for rotation and the material smoke v13smoke.zip
  24. Also where are you renderig it in the model window ,, in the chor ?? In bones mode ?
  25. Not sure why it would say file is invalid. You're importing the material not just the sprite?
