Its included in v13/14 can't remember if ealier than that and you can use it along with making an exploding version of your model to have it explode on contact wit another object...you switch the regular with the exploding one at the right moment to get the effect. Search for exploding in the forum . Search at top of forum

I am currenly experimenting with sweeper and thought I'd built a brick wall and use newton but newton thinks the wall as one model and it did not crumble. So I tried sim cloth because I had use the old cloth to make things fall apart. I just thought the results looks weird but different and so I rendered and posted I have a few other things to try

Just really looked at the DVD with v14 ..amazing collection and found stuff I had contributed and forgotten. My yellowdog model that I had at the pitstop. Alot of other projects inluding my avatar and under the tutorials some of my old website. Then there is the good stuff. Must say if you haven't purchased the upgrade you are missing a lot of great stuff Early attempt at modeling and why I don't do much now

Started with using sweeper to make a brick wall (model 1 in project) then played with the results with newton and simcloth ..simcloth part shown here abrickwall.mov project file for inspection abrickwall.zip

I just used a simple treez tree as the path and extruded a few shape with sweeper

After helping my son move yesterday along with snow shoveling my body is in pain. Tonight I played a little with photoshop and the polar coordinate filter the decided to test a simple eye ball for a character I'm working on. Here is the strange combo..also added a little hair.. eye2.mov Pose slider to move open eye and null to control eye..might convert that to a sett of pose sliders

Make sure the group that is emitting the particles is flat or relatively flat. I threw the project below together with one "rocket" using streaks and one using sprites You can see the "tails" do not spread. also limit the life of the particles and increase the quantity. The project also used the explosion material on the cd and one of the sprites on the cd as well streaks.mov streaks.zip Get it working then tweak till it looks right .

If you are using simcloth then you must add the material to the legs/person as a group and set it to deflect the the cloth then simulate. This would be for anything defecting the cloth.

Matt I 'm sure you could make it in earlier versions but I like to start out with old ideas and see if the alpha works with them. Good idea with the glow. Since sprites do not have glow I turned on additive sprite14a.mov
