  1. All the best, David, for your bithday and the year ahead.
  2. Mark, this is all coming together beautifully and you have all of the skills to make it happen too.
  3. Nice work, Gene. Seeing all of these characters coming off the production line makes me think you are ready for a head to head. I would like to propose a shoot out where we speed model caricatures of real people. A list of people to be caricatured could be suggested and expanded by anyone and participants would pick from the list, attempting to produce as many models in a week as they can. At the end of the week we can declare everyone a winner based on the fact that everyone will have participated in an exhilarating exercise and added to their model library. It could be fun.
  4. Looking good, David, though I wonder if you could tweak the splines around the shoulder blades enough to get rid of that hooked spline. I'm a bit fanatical about avoiding hooks, especially if they are not being hidden in seams or under other geometry. I know that rendering hooks has improved a lot so maybe my over cautious attitude is irrelevant now. Old habits die hard.
  5. Thanks for the comments, guys! I've been fighting off a cold and chest infection over the Christmas break and it has made modelling, animating and answering posts a bit difficult. I have been watching though. Improving a little every day so hope to get back to achieving something very soon.
  6. We survived 2011! Wishing you all a very successful, healthy and happy 2012! Enjoy the festivities and stay safe. CHEERS!

    Well done, Gerry!
  8. Santa_A00m.mov "Now where did I leave those reindeer?" Just a model that I was working on today.
  9. It's not very obvious but check the first image in post #280.
  10. Can I reserve #8? What are the numbers for the windows on the left side of the set?
  11. Another one for the collection. Very nice. Merry Christmas to you.
  12. I agree with Mark. This set was built to match Hitchcock's set and has much the same limitations and possibilities. The camera's point of view is not fixed horizontally and should allow the left side of the set to be explored. There should be another still to offer a selection of window numbers from the left side of the set. The single angle that you present is too extreme and exposes the right edge of the set, which is not meant to be seen. To be honest, it has been so long since the set was finished, I thought that this project would never happen. I'm hoping for some sign that the director actually knows where we are going and can pitch the story to the creative team. Not sure I'm in yet. I need some convincing.
  13. Another couple of interesting characters, Gene. Is that a double chin or a lumpy chest that the character on the left is sporting? I think that area could be improved but otherwise GREAT!

That looks great, Serg! Very cute too. Did you use Newton Physics for your Newton's cradle?
  15. Drop the image on the Model in the PWS and it will appear in your pose.
  16. The A:M render looks great! Thanks for the explanation of your pipeline. Soulcage should do a short!
  17. Cute, Ed! It is funny how I was thinking about the A:M forum frequenters of a few years ago just yesterday and your name popped into my head. It is heart warming to know that you are still part of this little community and still enjoying the magic.
