  1. Reusable characters. Sometimes just a little bit of tweaking and remodelling can get you a new, rigged character faster than starting all over again. This one is in transition: JSBuild_A00.mov
  2. Ha Ha! Great fun, Gene! Lots of interesting action going on in there. I love the the crazy flip-up fingers of the pianist moving at the speed of sound. Lots of other good stuff too. The loop that the plane does could use a little work but that is amusing in itself. Well done!
  3. Hi, Steve. No, I haven't received an email from you. Edit: Okay. Your email arrived this morning. I will get back to you later today.
  4. A:M doesn't have 3D particles. You should look at using Newton physics.
  5. I will do a few daylight renders as I continue to tidy up this set. Thanks, Rodney. Build_A02j_Masked.mov (Loop at 1/2 speed, full screen)
  6. I don't know if this is directly related but yesterday I was trying to nudge some CPs around in an Action and it was as if the arrow keys, on my keyboard, had been reprogrammed. Nudging left moved the CPs right, nudging up moved them down, etc. (A:M16a)
  7. Sorry about the file size, even at 640x360. Build_A02b.mov
  8. Thanks, Robert. I'm waiting until the window and door apertures are correctly scaled and positioned before doing any texturing. I can probably get that done tomorrow.
  9. Thanks, Mark. Here is a render at 854x480: And here are a few frames panning the set: Build_A02.mov Thanks, FaeAlba. I started this model to illustrate how the editing might work and was considering the idea of a facade, something like this set, where lights would go on or off in the various rooms, catching the attention of the James Stewart character/Thom. When you cut to a view through the binoculars/camera/telescope it would be a view through a window into one of 4 or 5 different room models. The room models would be completely separate models from this set. This set could be used just for the long shots. I could provide this set sometime next week, in a more advanced state, but it might still be too crude to use for close ups.
  10. It has gone pretty quiet in here. This is a set that I started as an exercise: I've been waiting to see if Mark was going to post an update of his set. This one is a long way from being finished.
  11. I also enjoy seeing your progress, Kat. Well done on staying true to your original illustrations too.
  12. When you last used A:M did you exit normally or was it with a crash? I have noticed that A:M16a reverts to default settings after a crash.
  13. That's a terrific group of models, Steve. Impressive!
  14. Excellente, Mark!!! Great voice acting has really nailed those characters now. It's all so good I only have one question...is it blue? Wishing you every success with the comic and hoping that someone offers you the funding to animate a complete story. Bravo!
  15. Thanks for the help, guys! It does seem to be a known issue with Kaspersky so I will try reinstalling A:M and look into changing my security software. Accepting this sort of behaviour from the guards at the gate is not acceptable. Thanks for the link, Vance!
  16. Well, I did but I had the cross section lined up incorrectly. Thanks for the example, Robert. That did the trick.
  17. Thanks, Robert but that produces the same results that I get. The spline rings seem to be twisting. It would be useful if the extruder had a subdivision variable so that we could set the number of spline rings between CPs.
  18. I occassionally get this security alert when browsing here. A:M16a is usually running in the background so I'm not sure where this alert originates but I am wondering what it is.
  19. A:M 16a: I am trying to extrude a spline ring along a path, which is a simple sign wave, but I haven't had any success with any of these plugins. Is there a known issue with these plugins?
  20. A lean, mean flying machine! Looks great, Myron!
  21. If you haven't done so already put a sky dome into your choreography so that there are never any empty areas in the background. See if this rectifies the problem.
