  1. I love the look of this house. The colors, mats, and modeling. Nice.
  2. Ugh, all this ear talk is making my question the ears I made for my character. If I remake them now though I will have to redo my decals -- ugh!. Nice ear.
  3. I just had a similar problem. Some of my patches mormals were facing the wrong way. All the patches where the normals were facing the wrong way had this problem. I would think it's the same with you. In case you don't know how hit Shift + 1 to show the normals. Look at those bad patches. If the yellow arrow is facing backwards, grab the points that make up the patch and Right-Click and select "Flip Normals". That should do it.
  4. *drools* Displacement is looking excellent! I think yours colors could be blurred and blended a little bit, but otherwise this is great.
  5. Where'd you get the painting skills? Nice!
  6. That is crazy! I feel like I'm watching it through some type of sci-fi microscope.
  7. Another Update This times it's the sword and the sheath. Now I have model the inside of his mouth and rig him up. After that -- The Sidekick!
  8. New Update I got the skin texture done and the colors for the outfit. All I have to do now is accessories (sword, sheath, maybe a hat). I was thinking about doing more with the skin texture, but didn't want to ruin the cartoony aspect of the character. I decided not to make the hair black, because it just doesn't look right, so I made it dark brown instead. Comment a suggestions are always welcome. PS: Multi-pass rules!
  9. Great character. I love him. I model like that too. Draw a sketch, either front or side. Use that as a base, and watch TV at the same time . Great work.
  10. 3DArtZ said about all I was going to say, so I will just say I like it .
  11. I love the way he looks when he jumps. I also like the wobble of his antenna. Did you do that by hand or use the -- um -- I forgot what it's called, for the secondary action.
  12. Get to work on those tuts Jim . I just started textureing my El Burro character and will need some bump maps soon, haha.
  13. Thanks Pengy. The mask actually will have those. In fact, that's what I am working on this second . Thanks for the compliment.
  14. THat is execllent. Man, the planning that had to take. Just great.
  15. Excellent characters and render. I like the red light, the way it shines on the metal. Is that part of the model, or is it part of the chor
  16. Well, I got the basics of the head and body done. I also attatched them now. I will probably work on accessories now (belt, sword, whip?). I will probably still be doing some tweaking to the mouth area. The ears are fairly cartoony. I haven't decided if I will make them more realistic than they are. The only decal I have applied right now are to his eyeballs.
  17. Hope you get the hole covered soon. I had a whole in my head and it took weeks for my brain to dry off after a good rain .
  18. He's looking really good. There seems to be a little more splines then needed, but if it works for you, don't worry about it .
  19. Hey, your project's really coming along. Nice.
  20. This is a problem I always have as well. Hope you get it figured out.
  21. I like the large foreflippers, but I always was one for strange proportions. He's excellent. Great work.
  22. Yeah it takes skill to get that economy of splines really good. I think you're doing well so far. The more you do it, the better you'll get at it.
