    Kapsules

Hey John, this project is really coming along. I love those backgrounds, and the character is great.
  2. Wow, I love the dichotomy of thick and thin. He is an excellent character. I want to see some textures now!
  3. Great bull. Keep him out of the china shop!
  4. I am loving this character. Great modeling and texture work there.
  5. Thanks for the comments guys. I am using Yves' Skylight Domes (25 lights) for the lighting. Thanks Yves!
  6. That does look awesome. It looks like the poster for a short you have to be working on with this guy.
  7. Love you site. The animation looks like it will be great.

    KONG!

Wow that shin shader work rather well. Can't wait to see Kong with the hair and decals.
  9. Here's another update. I will be adding horns going down the entire length of the back. I will also be continueing the armor plating on the front and back to the tip of the tail. Wings will also be added. Let me know how it's looknig, and what you think I could do to improve it. Thanks everyone.
  10. Hi Colin. Besides the middle area that everyone mentioned, I like it. I was wondering if you used a gradient mat for your costume or is it all texturemap?
  11. I don't know much about animation, so can just say that i thought it looked great. I love your character. Very simple yet very expressive.
  12. Awesome modeling and textures. I also like the wall .
  13. I know how to use Photoshop -- a little, and understand these little movies. But what about those that have no clue about PS. I would make a longer movie showing how you did it for those that have no clue:). Otherwise it's nice and simple and easy to see -- for me at least.
  14. I like the clothes, the face, but I'm not that big on the mopy hair. I just think there's too much it. But that is only opinion, and the hair might fit the rest of the style you are going for. Let's see s'more!
  15. Wow, lot of work put into that. It's amazing the amount of time that must have took. I thought some of it looked familiar, but didn't realize until you showed the still at the end. Great work
  16. This is really turning out well. Are you going to leave it with the "clean" look, or will you grunge everything up a little?
  17. Thanks dingo. Here's a very small update. Just added a base for the top armor, might just add the rest with decals. I could use some opinions on if I should build the geometry of use bump or displacement for the detail of the top of the head. Thanks
  18. It's looking great so far. Take it from me, building superheroes is not easy. Keep it going!
  19. HAHA, those are great. I agree that Mick seems a little too blonde to me.
  20. I loved playing the SIlent Hill games. Never thought of making into an RPG though. THe idea of the RPG and the shorts sounds great to me. It will be interesting to see if you can get the feel of those games into a short.
  21. I think I would turn down the ambiance on the mushrooms a little to give them more definition. Right now they semm more 2D than 3D.
  22. That is excellent for a first character. I'm into modeling more than anything else so my advice is to make another one, and another ...
