  1. Great model Marcos. I would love to pick your brain to see how you set up your scenes to learn a thing or four (especially this scene)
  2. haha. this was great!
  3. Absolutely stunning work
  4. I've just uploaded the car to CGTalk if somebody wants to take a look (and maybe leave a comment? ) LEGO Racers on CGTalk
  5. Thanks for your comments. The radiosityrender os an updated old one. The "white" render uses AO and a single Klieg, while the radiosity render uses 20 klieg as a roof light. Both renders took approximately 3hr a frame in v14 (and over 14hr in v13). as a side note I can mention that the total amount of patches in this model is 31K
  6. I've seen a few Lego models made with A:M earlier, and since I played with Lego all the time as a kid I wanted to model a Lego model myself. Yet again I went to a toy store and bought a toy. I must say that I don't like all the new special bricks they make now, I miss the good old Lego. Anyway, I went for a truck (with a push_forward_engine), and after a few days here is the result: I've made every single brick (with bevels everywhere), even the bricks not visible, no cheating, cause I wanted to test the Newton plug-in on this one. Unfortunately I have had no luck with the plug-in yet, need to experiment some more. I've attached two renders, one standard AO with a light and one radiosityrender. Both are rendered in v14 (v14 is a lot faster than v13!) Let me know what you think bets regards Stian
  7. Great model indeed
  8. This is really well made. Fun to watch. How did you add the movie background? Camera rotoscope and "front project target"? I've when using that method gotten weird offset doubleframes when rendering. It might be some codec problems, but then again I've had this problem on several different computersetup
  9. Great model! Wireframe? without the roof it kind of look like the good ol' 313
  10. In the modeling window, right click and select Plug-ins -> Wizards -> Font
  11. You might have turned the "show decals" button off? the red button with the star (ctrl+D)
  12. Very nice models! I love Lego myself (I had a cubic meter of it when I was young). Have you tried to use AO for lightning, to make the details stand out? Actually I bought me a Lego model just a few weeks ago that I will recreate in A:M when I have some time available, its going to be my next personal project. Looking forward to see more Lego models from you Stian
  13. I uploaded the animation to CGTalk for some days ago Here is a l>>> Link ink if you want to take a look:
  14. Uhm, I am not patrick_j_clarke however, I do model more than just cars: Parts of my image gallery
  15. A very good start indeed. Its going to be fun to watch the progress of this one. btw, do you mind showing us a wireframe of this? Stian
  16. I've just made this vid my first youtube contribution:
  17. Nice. Looks to be a good way to make neon signs
  18. Oh, how should I explain this... hmm. What I had for reference is what mentioned earlier; the toy transformer, some simple rotocopes of the mustang and a bunch of images collected with all might google. I basically started to model the car as I always do (shown in the progressvideo). Then I started to make the interior (legs, arms and such) while the model still being a car (most of the parts where measured by eye). The funny thing is that I did not see the model as a transformers until it all was modeled and rigged, and I can tell that I was a little anxious to see how it would look unfolded Due to my limited rigging knowledge the rig is pretty basic. Mainly bones from joint to joint. No constraint or anything. here is a screen capture of the rig: note: total patch count for the model is 26116
  19. Thanks again I dont have a closeup render lying around but I have an early render of the model. Hope this helps, if not I'll try to make a new render
  20. Very nice Rodger. What is the rendertime for such an image? A little ot; the car, is it made in A:M?
  21. Thank you Dhar and Rodney for your kind words. Oh, I almost forgot, I made a spline progress video for this model too. Unfortunately most parts on this model is underneath the metal surface, but I hope you guys will enjoy it anyway: mustangprogress.mov and a single frame:
  22. Great work!
  23. Thank you very much for your comments I know, but those where the best sound I managed to find after a few hour searching the web Guess where I got my inspiration from;) Stian
  24. Thanks guys This model is entierly based on a toy version of the Grimlock transformers that I bought at Toys'R'us
  25. Its been a while since I did a personal project. Finally I've managed to model (and yes, animate) some new stuff. I guess you wont get surprised when you see I've modeled yet another car, but this time I did put more into it. Please take a look at the animation. I hope you like it Best regards Stian the animation: grimlock.mov a few stills:
