  1. Great model! Wireframe? without the roof it kind of look like the good ol' 313
  2. In the modeling window, right click and select Plug-ins -> Wizards -> Font
  3. You might have turned the "show decals" button off? the red button with the star (ctrl+D)
  4. Very nice models! I love Lego myself (I had a cubic meter of it when I was young). Have you tried to use AO for lightning, to make the details stand out? Actually I bought me a Lego model just a few weeks ago that I will recreate in A:M when I have some time available, its going to be my next personal project. Looking forward to see more Lego models from you Stian
  5. I uploaded the animation to CGTalk for some days ago Here is a l>>> Link ink if you want to take a look:
  6. Uhm, I am not patrick_j_clarke however, I do model more than just cars: Parts of my image gallery
  7. A very good start indeed. Its going to be fun to watch the progress of this one. btw, do you mind showing us a wireframe of this? Stian
  8. I've just made this vid my first youtube contribution:
  9. Nice. Looks to be a good way to make neon signs
  10. Oh, how should I explain this... hmm. What I had for reference is what mentioned earlier; the toy transformer, some simple rotocopes of the mustang and a bunch of images collected with all might google. I basically started to model the car as I always do (shown in the progressvideo). Then I started to make the interior (legs, arms and such) while the model still being a car (most of the parts where measured by eye). The funny thing is that I did not see the model as a transformers until it all was modeled and rigged, and I can tell that I was a little anxious to see how it would look unfolded Due to my limited rigging knowledge the rig is pretty basic. Mainly bones from joint to joint. No constraint or anything. here is a screen capture of the rig: note: total patch count for the model is 26116
  11. Thanks again I dont have a closeup render lying around but I have an early render of the model. Hope this helps, if not I'll try to make a new render
  12. Very nice Rodger. What is the rendertime for such an image? A little ot; the car, is it made in A:M?
  13. Thank you Dhar and Rodney for your kind words. Oh, I almost forgot, I made a spline progress video for this model too. Unfortunately most parts on this model is underneath the metal surface, but I hope you guys will enjoy it anyway: mustangprogress.mov and a single frame:
  14. Thank you very much for your comments I know, but those where the best sound I managed to find after a few hour searching the web Guess where I got my inspiration from;) Stian
  15. Thanks guys This model is entierly based on a toy version of the Grimlock transformers that I bought at Toys'R'us
  16. Its been a while since I did a personal project. Finally I've managed to model (and yes, animate) some new stuff. I guess you wont get surprised when you see I've modeled yet another car, but this time I did put more into it. Please take a look at the animation. I hope you like it Best regards Stian the animation: grimlock.mov a few stills:
  17. Impressive. You sure got me fascinated
  18. Cool! just discovered that Tirpitz has been published in the December issue of the CGArena magazine! Its a free magazine which you can download here: CGArena magazine
  19. Nice looking. I just recently started to play with icarus myself, might need it for a personal project I'm currently working on. It work fairly good when I analyzed a clip where I've used a tripod, but not when I tried to analyze a clip where I hadn't. that means, It looked good in Icarus, but when imported into A:M it was very offset, but its probably some settings for it, or it could be the quality of my clip.
  20. Nice models you got there. Also nice renders but I do miss some kind of reflections or specularity in them, they look a little flat. Try to add an additional light into your chor with specularity set to on and maybe shadows set to off (if you dont want the extra shadows)
  21. This is a very well made model Rodger. I learned a few modelling tricks by studying it while i incorporated it into the workshop
  22. Kudos! You've made a nice movie which I really enjoyed watching
