  1. If I should give you a tip, I would recommend you to buy a transformers toy to use as reference. Then dissect and inspect it
  2. Thanks guys I've just uploaded the movie to youtube:
  3. Thank you so much for all the kind words! I will The only "big" thing I'm working on right now is TWO, which I really enjoy The Tirpitz model is printed in the book "Tirpitz - Hitlers siste slagskip" (translated it means: "Tirpitz - Hitlers last battleship") Here is a link to the book. You can see a few sample-pages showing the 3D model: >>Tirpitz book review Thanks. As mention, the rig is really hard to animate with (and not to forget that my animation skills are very limited). I was planning to crush the windows, but I never found the time to figure out a way to do it. Lets just say they are laminated safety glass? lol The rig is just a simple joint to joint rig. But due to all the weird parts the car consists of, almost every bone got some kind of manipulator limits I used PFHoe2 which I bought a few months ago
  4. Hi all I've recently revisited the transformers model of mine, and at the same time been testing some motion tracking. It was a pain in the bu** to make that thing move, since the rig I made for him is really bad:p Let me know what you think Best regards Stian The animation: transformers.mov A single frame from the animation:
  5. You are doing a good job. The model looks smooth so far
  6. Thanks guys I use HDR images (IBL). I've just bought Dosch Design - Extreme Hires and Car Backgrounds I dont remember it exactly, but I think it took me about three weeks to make the model. The rendertime I think was a few hours
  7. Thank you guys. Yeah the plane could need some dirt yes Yeah, I forgot to mention that the image is completly historically incorrect:p I just used what I had of models
  8. I've uploaded the plane to CGTalk: The CGTalk thread
  9. Thank you guys for your comments The key is Environment map
  10. Hi guys. Thank you so much for voting on my image on the image contest. I would really appreciate your comments and crits on this model. I've also attached the wire of it and an additional testrender. The model counts 26203 patches Let me know Best regards Stian The CGTalk thread note: This image is historically incorrect!
  11. Are you sure? Your model looks fantastic!! Any chance you could post some wires?
  12. Or you could read this article about gels on volumetric lights: Gels on volumetric Lights
  13. There is a underwater scene on the A:M disc that might be worth taking a look at. You'll find it in the librar under projects.
  14. Yes! I think I might have figured it out. By editing only the 'initial Velocity' and 'Size' it worked!
  15. I've been testing out your settings John. The problem is that the bigger you scale it the more the 'explosion' gets washed out/white. At ten times its original size its just a big white cloud. That is the same result I did get on my test to
  16. Thanks John!
  17. use the search button before you ask stupid questions! http://migrate.hash.com/forums/index.php?s...cale++particles *edit* it didn't help
  18. So I find myself having fun with particles. I really like the explosion that comes with A:M, and I need it for a project. My only problem is that I need it to be eg 10 times bigger. How do I do that? I've tried to scale the material itself but it didn't help. Any tips?
  19. Beautiful model Marcos! What is the story behind it? personal project? Could you give me a hint to where to find/buy the IBL maps you use?
  20. Do you have alpha buffer enabled? if so, that may cause the black background. You'll find the buffer setting under Camera->Output Options->Buffers
  21. Haha! funny character. I hope you plan to animate him?
  22. Right click on the model you want to save, and select 'Save as...'
  23. Hahaha! your last test was brilliant... nice texture
  24. Funny you mentioned that. Sorry no transformers this time. But a few splines down the road on this project I discovered that Optimus Prime in the upcoming Transformers movie actually is a Peterbilt. Funny, since a few project ago I made the Mustang transformers.
