  1. Hi. You have to ask dimos at Circus Ink Entertainment Ltd., since he owns the design
  2. Haha, great job! How many hours did you spend on this project?
  3. Thank you. I actually have modelled a character. Take a look at Giuseppe or my old and silly self-portrait
  4. Thanks Dhar:) Thanks! I've sent them a link, but I don't expect an answer. I went with air, since that is the most stable to use in Norway's hostile winter climate
  5. Thanks! I consider this project for finished for now. Attached is the latest renders and a turntable animation. What do you think? tippmannrotate.mov
  6. Testing some materials and textures. Far from done yet What do you guys think so far?
  7. I do however use the Duplicator wizard and Sweeper allot on my models. I used the Duplicator wizard to place those holes around the muzzle, then I had to break up the cylinder to stitch it all together. It didn't take very long to do it I've finally added the hopper and therefor consider the modeling part of this project done. Next up is to add some textures and materials
  8. Thanks! Regarding the muzzle, you are spot on (btw, they are not screw heads, but holes). I made the cylindrical shape first then made the other parts. The rest is basically a lot of mesh stitching
  9. Thank you guys for the confidence in me:) I've been thinking about it my self, but the problem is that I am really bad at teaching/explaining stuff. Another thing is that I never plan how to make the model, its all on the go, which also makes it hard to make a tutorial... well, we'll see, some day in the future maybe? Here is a new update. I've added the air-tank which is one of the two parts that makes it look more like an paintball marker than an average weapon. Next up is the ball tank (whats the english word for that particular part?)
  10. That would be funny:) Here is a new update. The barrel made a big difference. Also added the middle piece for the paintball storage. Attached is also a wireframe
  11. Thanks Haha. My cloths are painted orange while my body is red and blue (red and blue are the painful colors) So.. colorful I would say
  12. Thanks guys Me and my friends was out playing last night in the woods when it was dark. Man it was scary... Cool, but scary! Loved it! Here is an update:
  13. Me and a couple of my friends purchased ourself paintball markers just a week ago, and of course I had to start modeling the gun:) Here is it in an early stage of the modelingprocess Let me know what you think so far
  14. Dark Tree Materials might be something? They got a lot of nice materials that you can drag and drop onto your model Here is an old bone material: Here is a link to their shader library: www.darksim.com
  15. You need to provide us with more information about the movie you are rendering. Things like what kind of lighting, amount of lights, large textures, procedural materials, amount of patches and close ups. All of the above mentioned things (and other things) do have their way to affect the rendertime. An Screen capture would really help
  16. QuickTime is fine, but it looks like your file is corrupted or something.. its only 32bytes in size
  17. A rendered image would help:) I'm not sure I understand what you mean, but you could try to increase the Ambiance Intensity on the shadow-catching models until they match better?
  18. Wohaa! Cool! I would probably buy it too. Perhaps you should put up a poll?
  19. Thanks guys I've tried to experiment with that before, but havent been able to get a nice turnout. I dont think I grasp the concept quite yet (haven't found a good balance). The above render is the default chor with AO added with intensity set to 66%
  20. I was making a small model for a bigger project that I am working on. I did a testrender just to see how the model did turn out. Its a very simple model(s) and a standard AO render, but I thought the result turned out nice, so I want to share it with you guys. I might if I find the time make several more bottles and fill the environment with them, but for now, I'll settle with this render Let me know what you think
  21. I feel your pain. That happens to me alot (beer cans). Perhaps I should become civilized enough to begin drinking beer from glass?... hmm... nah.. funny thought though
