Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted April 9, 2012 Hash Fellow Posted April 9, 2012 Another one from the department of "They Said It Couldn't Be Done." A complex curling and uncurling motion with a changing axis... Curl.mov Quote
serg2 Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 A perfect example. Please, describe how you did it? Thank you! Quote
agep Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 It hurts my brain trying to figure out how you did this Quote
Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted April 9, 2012 Author Hash Fellow Posted April 9, 2012 1- I made a large grid 2- I made a cookie cut image with a large blank border and applied it using a Projection Material (not a decal) 3- I made a Pose that curls up half the grid. 4- I animated the Projection Material's position and rotation on the grid to move the visible part of the image over to the curled portion of the grid and out again. MMZ_TimeLord Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 robcat, Nicely done my friend. The larger grid size explains being able to keep the corners in the 'roll' during the turn. Cheers! Quote

mtpeak2 Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 Very nice! I was stumped on how you did that as well. Quote
thejobe Posted April 10, 2012 Posted April 10, 2012 I saw this coming. I bet your working on rotating morphing grid with animated displacement textures next. Quote
