Roger,

I did see your other post but hadn't yet taken the time to respond.

For that I offer my apology.

I wanted to reply at length rather than just say... "Hello".

Once I put something down though its hard to say when I'll get back to it.

I wanted to say first how much I am impressed that your friend took the time to point you to A:M.

He's obviously someone that knows his software.

That a professional in the industry... an Oscar award winner even... would recommend Animation:Master is really saying something.

But to be honest I'm not at all surprised anyone would recommend A:M.

After 20 years its still the best deal going.

...and now the fun begins! :)

Welcome to the Animation:Master Forum Roger!

I think this is where I'm supposed to say 'add me too'

...and this is where I say "Just in the nick of time".

The final raffle is only days away.

Mr. Wilkens? Are you out there?

I still need to get ahold of you as I don't know what decision you've made.

Rob Wilkens is a hard man to track down but he has finally been located.

Congratulations go out to Rob Wilkens as the winner of the first raffle of 2007.

For his prize he's chosen a shiny new... 2005 SIGGRAPH video.

Congratulations Rob!

Enjoy your SIGGRAPH video.

Next up is Elliot Clem.

Elliot has very patiently been waiting to learn of his fate and what prize lurks behind door number two.

Thanks for hanging in there with us Elliot!

Can I get a drum roll please for door number two?

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Special thanks go out to Hash Inc for being a sponsor in this raffle.

You rock Hash Inc as does your outstanding program!

(Okay... no drum roll then) ;)

I'd like to call your attention to Door #2 where you'll find a nice new shiny copy of 3D Painter/A:M Paint from Pixosaur!

Its all yours Elliot to take home or you can pass it on and go for the final door.

What do you say Elliot?

3D Painter?

Door Number 3?

I'ld to sign up here. I've had my copy of AM for about a week now and I'm loving it, working my way through the TOA.

I got a bit side tracked with the walking tutorial, it's just too much fun just animating the different characters walking and experimenting with walking.

While we are waiting for Elliot to make his choice I'd like to remind everyone that there is still one raffle left to go.

If you haven't signed up... please do!

EVERYONE who is an owner of the 2007 subscription of A:M (Thats the CD with Oz characters on it) is welcome to join in the raffle. Just respond to this topic to confirm and you are in.

Here's where we stand at the moment.

Rob Wilkens (the first raffle winner) has selected as his prize the 2005 SIGGRAPH DVD from Hash Inc.

Elliot Clements (did I get that last name right?) is still trying to decide his prize...

His choices are:

- Take home a copy of A:M Paint/3D Painter

- Give A:M Paint to the 3rd Raffle winner and go for that 3rd raffle prize (note: that prize remains unannounced at this time)

- Opt out of the raffle with a SIGGRAPH video of his choice (this would leave the 3rd raffle winner a choice between prizes)

The third raffle winner (or Elliot should he so decide) will get the third prize.

What I'm trying to say is...

If you haven't yet entered the raffle... now is the time!

So could you add my name to the raffle?

Yes, I could. But *will I?* That is the question.

...and the answer is: "Yes". :)

You are added.

When is the next raffle?

Excellent question. I don't have an answer.

Interest died down pretty quickly and where there is no interest there is little need for the raffle.

Perhaps 2 raffles were enough for everyone?

I know what the third prize is, its been chosen but not purchased, and we'll ramp up to give it out when I can find a little more time to promote the raffle.

In the meantime anyone that adds their post here will be added.

Tick Tick Tick... time marches on.

Who knows, tomorrow could be the day! :)

Hello Rodney,

I don't know if I qualify as a "new" user! I started using A:M back in '02, but have been away for the past 3+ years complete my BS degrees (I'm a 44 year old colleg grad, yippee) and paying for my oldest's college bill (ouch, and does anybody need a Fine Arts Major Intern?). Anyway, my daughter (The College Kid) is the reason I'm back. Seems she's taken a liking to animation and illustration. She's gunning for an internship at Disney (long-shot) and is boning up on Maya (its what they use, can't help it). But I dusted of my copy of A:M 02, and looked at the advances made on the product, so I bit the bullet and upgraded. So I'm a sort-of new user, right?

I'm new.. really.. So you can just send the next prize to me. I'll take pictures and share it with the others.. if that helps.

Hehe... too bad I don't know your address. ;)

But... James you are in... and Mr. 'Fae Alba' too.

The next raffle (whenever it happens to be raffled) will include 'old users' too.

So... anyone can win the last prize.

For those still interested, since the title says, "2007", it'll probably be NLT 31 Dec. ;)

Whats this raffle all about?

Apologies for the delayed response.

As of today the new users forum 'raffle' is back on.

The third prize will be announced shortly but you can get ahead of the game and post here for a chance to win it.

Any and all users of Animation:Master are eligible.

Look for the winner to be announced on 31 Dec 07! :)

I believe you fall well into the category of 'A:M User'. :)

Marcos,

That you are my friend. :)

Raffle Note: Where the winner of the raffle already has the prize in their possession an alternate prize will be offered.

The end goal: Raffle winner satisfaction guaranteed.

I think since I cannot be classed as a "new user",the raffle should be open to "current subscription holder" as an extra incentive to take up the new scheme B)

I *could* lead you on in an effort to encourage you to adopt the new way of things but...

The third raffle is open to *all* A:M Users. The New Users forum (i.e. little ol' moderator me) is just the sponsor.

While you *should* be a current subscription holder that isn't required either.

I'm an inclusive kind of guy.

Thats the long way of saying... "Chris, you are in!" :)

Am I allowed to enter Rodney?

Ahem... isn't it already too late for that? ;)

You are only as old as you feel your wife tells you.

Which translates to: "You are doomed".

But... look on the bright side!

Then share that info with me won't you? :)

10 days left in the raffle!

Would like to enter myself. :) Recently upgraded from 2005 (Yeti) to 2007 (OZ) and am having a blast with it.

Quite an awesome program. Its very addicting @_@ ha

Looks like its time to announce the prize.

The winner of the third raffle will recieve a DVD (either the Modeling, Rigging or Animation DVD) from Barry Zundle's A:M training course; a $60 value.

While I would recommend the Animation DVD to anyone just starting out the choice is completely up to the winner. Want to do some rigging? Need to do some Modeling? Into Animation? Any one of Barry's DVDs is well worth the winning.

Should the winner already own all of Barry's DVDs an alternate prize will be awarded.

Good luck, and thanks for hanging out with us here in the Newbies forum. :)
