  1. Wow dude, this is sweet! I missed this but its really cool! Ben
  2. looks cool . . . i never got that idea though. I think it would be cooler if you flew threw there, then the last 3 seconds when the camera emerges, have it pan out and you can see the mystic dragon flying (comingi out of its mountain home), sweeping low to the trees to get its dinner. Nice job Ben
  3. Nice! I like the material you have for the horns/antler things . . . i know I'm an idiot . . . i don't know what there called . . . NIce job so far, can't wait for the final result Ben
  4. To tell you the truth, i don't even really know how i made it. Your question intrigued me so i when back and looked at all of the groups of the mouth i had, after removing the dental work. I looked at it for a while and realized that it was simply done, like adding a hole into a model, it was just adding a hole inside of a another hole. Basically, all it is is 2 circles, connecting into one, with a whole in the middle. Try hiding the rest of the body and look at the head groups. There is one called inside of mouth, If you delete that, the head is just flat, with no inside. It's just a matter of finding a way for all of those splines to not dead end. Play around, and experiment . . . thats what i did Srry if this isnt what your looking for, But somtimes people bewilder themselves, and I have myself in this instance Ben. PS. I also kind of take that as a compliment to my intuitive nature
  5. That looks pretty good . . . way better than my first character . . . If you need any other help, texturing or modeling, i'd be glad to help (not rigging . . . i'm bad a tthat) . I know i wish i had help when i was trying my first character. one thing i might suggest, is that making his biceps skinier, and to give it a look of strength and speed, make is foramrs nice and big (slighly larger circumerance then the shoulder). It is an old drawing trick. Nice job Ben
  6. well, i would animate him . . . hes full rigged and stuff, but there are some weird happennings with his legs. In the show do they even bend . . . I don't think so. I will have to watch it again. Like i said I'm working on a walk cycle in my spare time, but there are probs with his knee joint things. I don't have that much time though between the image contest, and some other projects im working on. I'll post it up soon though, i've just been so wrapped up in new cool stuff! Ben
  7. WOAH !!! Congratulations! thats really great to hear. I think the carrera looks really good so far! If there is any help you need that you can get from me, by all means just ask! Great job Ben
  8. That looks pretty good! Ben
  9. Nice job! I could tell i wanted to vote for it when i saw the thumbnail Again good job! Ben
  10. I think the light is cool! nice job The tunnel is creepy . . . Ben
  11. ok, heres an update. My dad is at a conferance in Tuscon, where my image is on a 8x10 curtain. ( i rendered it out again at 5000 by somthing pixels . . . i forgot, but its huge) The final image, slightly altered by NASA with some words and stuff, is about 11 megs here is a little chor with all of the atmosphere stuff in it. You can change where you see the atmosphere and where you dont, by chaning the position of the bottom gradient in the material. Its hard to explain, but play around with it to see what i mean Ben Atmosphere.zip
  12. ok here it is, he is partially rigged. Ben Draconian_dude_stuff.zip
  13. looks cool! But arnt you gonna have some probs with the rigging/animation of the shoulders. Or is it easier if you model them bent? Nice job though . . . i really like the character Ben
  14. I say it looks good . . . but i think it has to much blue. (it has a lot of blue) try making the moon light more grey, but leave the blue. good job Ben
  15. I think you could make a sort of mini series about this guy "How Mr incredible rip off" (no offense) "dies each week! and after he dies, he does somthing else! cuz hes mad" Staring . . . Very cool Nice job Looks a bit jerky though . . . i think the table falling is kind of jerky . . . Ben
  16. LOL that is funny as crap . . . which i dont know why its funny but it is Nice job!
  17. Do you want the head, the torso, the arms, the hands, the leg, or all of it? I still haven't brought up the will to model his last foot . . . Hes got pecs, abs, lats, bicepts, tricepts (i think) forearm stuff, hands, nails, glutes, hamstring, quadricept, and calf muscles. I'll post what you want of mail it . . . Ben
  18. I meant there should be more bending in the arm, to show a slighltly exagerated push. Remember rules of comics apply to animation . . . a little, always exagerate when in doubt. For the snap in the wrist i meant as hes pushing of with his arm Ben
  19. i would suggest more snap in the wrist, more bend in the arm, and less time between sitting and standing. Also when he stands up, make his hand turn back the normal way. It's getting there Ben
  20. Bingo! . . . its the penguin from Wallace and Grommit. Those shows always fascinated me, i mean with 2 guys animating, using stop motion . . . that must take forever . . . I modled him from memory, and i htink hes 2 fat. Im working on walk cycles and ill post when im satisfied. Ben
  21. if your looking for a basic model to start off of . . . im making my own type of dinsoaur creature . . . Tell me if your interested
  22. Thats pretty cool! Nice job . . . but for being dead he looks kind of . . . happy Ben
  23. hmmm . . . in the material laboratory, someone asked for a shoreline material, i posted a few things. That might help you. I could try a few things though . . .
  24. This might help a bit also . . .
  25. Hey, I saw a show (thats the only hint im giving) with this guy in it. I thought he looked fairly simple, so i decided to make him in AM. The modeling took about 2 hrs at most, then the rigging was about an hr, and render setup was bout 15 min. Rendered with radiosity it took about 50 minutes here he is
